You can fire as many fucking guns if you want. But you can only fire at most 2 guns at one ship at the same time. The ship will always be at most within reach of two guns. Maybe 3 for some rare situations (like when you have a Pyramidalion and the enemy is a Junker and it is right infront of you with port/starlight completely open, and also immobile), but they happen so rare you shouldn't even take them in account.
I think the Squid is just plain my favorite boat. It's such a blast to captain. Completely different playstyle from any of the other ships.
Squid is awesome. Combined with weapons like barking dog and banshee it becomes this:

My personal favourite to captain has got to be the Junker. Miniguns on the top deck to take down hull armor, rocket carousels on the lower deck to damage the ship itself once armor is done and set shit on fire, and you can unleash quite a barrage when you zoom by an enemy on either side- or when they zoom by you, expecting to get away. And you can put some long distance gun on the prow for good measure.
We had this all out war with only Harpoons and it was really fun and crazy! This was my first time ever screen capturing anything so excuse some of the glitchyness. I put it all in a playlist for easier access.

Bumping this, Really fun game so far. Starting from may the 17th, it has a big bump in players. About 2000 average players and the good thing is that the playerbase is stable. This is a game springing back to life again and rightfully deserved it. At the moment its 75% off discount, so give it a try and if you don't like it you're only wasting less than £3.
Favourite ship is the galleon, when free from repairing, the 3 crew can man all the 3 guns and dish out some tremendous damage at the port side. Though sucks without a good engineer on board.
I love this game. Glad it's making a comeback. Also the devs seem to be working on some co-op content. Not sure when that's going to come out but it looks good.
