While I was patiently beating the shit out of the Sulleps for attacking one of my colonies (amusingly, the most well-defended one at the time), the Dargslans (in green) seem to have steamrolled absolutely every other race out there apart from a small enclave of Ecalep planets in the bottom right corner.

Hell no, It's good shit. The best videos around are when nobody knows the ins and outs of every corner of every map and people are experiencing it for the first time. The reactions from the people are way better

Actually throughly enjoying it so far, worth the price I paid anyway.
My only problem with RAGE's textures is the resolution disparity in noticeable places. Couldn't give a rat's arse about low-res tiny bits of detritus that i'm not going to normally be looking at anyway, but e.g. the bent metal railings next to that mutant look out-of-place because of it.
Half of the textures are amazing, the other half are absolute shit.

I actually liked the second one a little more. It had much improved and more consistent level design, it sacrificed the switch-hunt puzzles in favor of more thought provoking ones, more satisfying combat and awesomely over the top weapons (The assassin's best weapon powered up shoots chains into people, lifts them up, and rips them apart) and it still has graphics that hold up decently because of well constructed models with the cool art style - and it's certainly hard to come by an early 3D game that still holds up well.
Not to mention the multiplayer is incredibly fun.

So that pirate thread that popped up a few days ago made me remember this nice game. Age of Pirates 2. It's basically pirate simulator with shitty, yet fun fencing mechanics.
The ruler of a pirate settlement on the Bermudas told me there was a guy looking for a captain somewhere in Puerto Principle. There, that dude told me, that I had to transport some guy to Port Royal to meet Henry Morgan. Well, bad thing is, the English don't really like seeing my ass on the horizon (Could be because of the dozens of English traders I sank on the seven seas). My brilliant mind made me hiss the English flag and sail straight into Port, past English patrols and fortresses. Just when I was about to dock, they spotted me.
