Bethesda made a Sandbox open world pirate game where you could sail a 1:1 scale (I believe) caribbean in real time, or on a map in a timelapse fashion. It was called Pirates of the Caribbean, and it was absolute shit, but there was a mod called Build Mod 13 or whatever the number is up to now, and it actually made the game a lot of fun. You could have up to 4 ships sailing with you, and any ship you managed to take on and capture, you could sail. 4 First rates just looting and pillaging every fucking thing was great fun

Yeah, that one was great, too. If I got it right, this is the Sea Dogs franchise. There's Sea Dogs, Pirates of the Carribean, Age of Pirates 1 & 2 and another game which only got released on russia. I used to play the PotC game all the time back then.
