This is the only time I've seen it work. Colonial Marines had good effects as well, but that's because it was pseudo eighties and chromatic aberration was still a sideeffect. It also works well in games with scopes, because that effect is present when looking through them in real life.
It doesn't make sense to just throw chromatic aberration in a game because real human eyeballs don't work like that

Yep, they're loud and echoy, your screen shakes without wrecking your aim, the animations are awesome, but the tougher cops still take a lot of damage, even the AUG feels like a BB gun if you're firing at the paramilitary guy's chest instead of in the head or back.
Is the stealth any good? Part of the reason I didn't like the first PAYDAY was because it felt like such a cheap horde game and not a heist game. I'm okay if they keep the horde gameplay, which I am sure they did, if they make it better fit the context of a game purely about heists.

Stealth is pretty good in PD2. It's a bit more forgiving but still requires coordination, the right perks, and a bit of luck. The horde gameplay is still there, but it varies depending on the heist. For example, one bank heist can be fairly easy due to a low police response but have a low payoff, whereas a heist in the same location with a more active police response and more specials can result in receiving millions.
Oh and about your post regarding weapons earlier - they're a lot better this time around.

Depends on the level, you can rob jewelry stores pretty easy without the cops showing up if you control the civvies (Off topic, but that one is [I]hell[/I] to try and move loot bags around if the cops show, there's an open street between the store and the van), but there's other levels where it's all shooting, like the one where you're trying to cook meth during a police raid.

Use a .png (2MB tops) or a 95+ quality .jpg (<1MB and nobody will notice the difference except KyleN).
high quality JPG is usually like 5 times smaller than a png of the same image, and there's no visible difference
