I remember feeling really stupid when I bought the COD pack with UO and the first game in one. It was the first expansion pack I'd ever seen.
I completed COD and loved it, so I looked back at its game case and inspected the bit about United Offensive. Believe it or not, I was 99% convinced it was just [I]mini-games and extras.[/I] I thought were no way there could be any more proper content.
So you can imagine my fucking excitement when I found out what it actually was, and the fact it had a level where you piloted a bomber.

Try DxTory instead, and experiment with different formats/codecs when rendering from Sony Vegas.

Match your framerates. If recording at 30, set the vegas project to 30, and make sure the encoding settings are 30. Insert any FPS obviously. 24, 24, 24, 25, 25, 25 etc.
You don't need to disable resampling as some people suggest if your framerates match.

One of these days I'll have to reinstall the original Stalker and actually finish it. I could get my current version running again and fire up my savegame, but something tells me I'd just be completely lost and have no idea what the shit I was doing or where I was up to. All I remember is being stuck in some vault thing in the middle of a field, and my last memory (from like 4 years ago or something) was of trying to get outside and some mutant dog things mauling me to death.
Plus, why not experience those underground labs again for the hell of it. Last Light has me in the mood... Is that Complete Mod worth running for a good stock playthrough?

don't use Complete, it says it's just a graphics mod but it fucks with the difficulty and makes it too easy

For those who don't know (and the 2 homeworld fans that are actually on facepunch), homeworld 2's gameplay was originally going to focus around 'megaliths', huge ancient derelict spaceships that would function like the terrain from a normal RTS, then sierra stuck their nose in it and got rid of that idea. What blackbird (Which was formed by the key people behind homeworld) have done is basically that.
Imagine if your favourite game that was never ever going to get a sequel ever, suddenly got a sequel. I'm so excited.
I'm gonna pre-order it.
About stalker, apparently there's a mod which doesn't change the game drastically like complete does, but rather it's more like an unofficial patch that fixes glitches and adds AI abilities like having them drag away bodies and other cool things, so you might want to look into that for SoC. I haven't played CoP through yet so I'm sticking to strictly graphics mods.
Also play on master for your first time, apparently the balancing isn't as good on the other difficulties.

I played a huge chunk of the game originally with some pretty heavy tweaks to the visuals and I loved it, so playing it again completely with graphical improvements doesn't bother me one bit. But I was kind of hoping there might be a good graphical upgrade I could apply, and maybe something to fix any common glitches. Because holy christ was that game glitchy back in the day.
