Yeah, all they had to do was drop the Vista requirement and get rid of GFWL and it would probably be more popular than Halo CE.
I occasionally do videos doing a first impression of games(Not necessarily new ones), or my first thoughts as I play. This time I did Papers, Please and ended up doing the entire thing, hence it being an hour. But people might like it. Perfect quality video and audio as usual.

I don't like using cockpit view because (depending on the car of course) it usually takes like ½ or more of the screen. I can imagine using it if I had 3 monitor setup with trackIR etc.

I do aggre with that, but I'm that kind of user that wants it to be as realistic as possible. A steering wheel, pedals and a gearbox. A huge screen with massive speakers.
While GRID has always been an arcadey game, I found the cockpit view in the first one to be a nice touch. Plus, it's not like it's outright arcade, Sega Rally is arcade for example.
This is somewhere in between the two I think.

tbh I'd consider codemasters games arcade, just really well done arcade.
Arcade doesn't have to mean shitty handling like in SHIFT series
You could do turns full throttle full lock in the first grid with no problems, I won many races that way. In grid 2 drifting (which feels like shit somehow) is faster than grip racing for some reason. I was expecting grid 2 to have dirt3 like physics but they just made it terrible.

Did you use combat mods or did you just get used to it?
been trying it on and off, the combat really doesn't stick to me at all.

I just got used to it, I've been playing without any mods except the Morrowind Graphics Extender. The combat is definitely tedious early on, but it does get better as your skills go up. Still wouldn't call the combat fun though, so you might want to try a combat mod.

yeah been kinda into old school rpg lately. i have it on steam so i guess i'll give it a go.

It gets fun after you completed half of quests in main game. With proper leveling you'll kill anyone without any trouble. Oh, and it gets very fun when you start up addons. Basically you'll get some god killing stuff there. Not to mention the famous tree stump in Solstheim with one hit kill arrows inside.
I'll be quadrupling my broadband speed in the next week and a half, about 20Mbps upload speed, so I'll be able to upload a lot of gameplay videos and contribute more to this thread.
The tiredness of 1Mbps upload speed be no more :v:
