Grand Theft Auto Series Megathread V2: Give Me (GTA V) PC - Games

Just did that one Martin mission on Hard, I can't remember the name of it but it goes like this. Get in helicopter at Sandy Shores airfield, go to nearby plant, fight Rednecks and take a package from the top of the plant. Get back in and go to "altruist" (Did I get that right?) camp in the mountains, steal a package from more Rednecks right near the back on a lookout. Get back in, go to a convenience store, fight some Lost (?) and steal a package from behind the store. Back in the chopper and head to a warehouse and fight off a bunch of Asian gang members and take the package from inside a small garage. Lastly get back to Sandy Shores airfield. Thing was, I'm a level 40, and my three Level 100+ teammates all died at the first location, leaving me to complete the rest of the mission solo. We had landed the chopper on top of the plant where we could just go down a single ladder and grab it. One teammate fell off the roof and died, second went down the ladder and got shotgunned by a Redneck standing right under it, and third was shot dead due to low cover. I was smart enough to take cover against the chopper and spam snacks cause no eating animation while in cover or vehicle. Didn't have body armor because our pilot got shot dead out of the seat and we crashed prompting a restart on the previous round. Also had to keep myself alive by taking cover and spamming Snacks, glad I brought them. Battling that time limit was a rush too. In the end I grabbed the last package, made a mad dash for my chopper and took off towards Sandy Shores, turned on to Los Santos Radio and started playing 'I'm a Real 1' while receiving apparently enough commends from my teammates to earn a 5% discount from stores. Scoreboard showed the kills / deaths as Dr_Jarey: 82 / 0 Someone: 4 / 1 Someone: 0 / 1 Someone: 0 / 1 Sorry for the large post, but that's the first time I've ever done such a rough mission before, let alone a 4 man job solo, what a rush!

The other day I drove up to the clothing store and waved at another player who was there, as I was leaving he followed me outside, shot me in the back and destroyed my car. Coming out of LSC I will usually get shot by someone, normal mental state. That guy cruising around in a jet who kills me on sight? Normal mental state. Two players in a car, both with white icons, most definitely will kill me or anyone else if I even drive past them. The mental state system can only do so much to help when it gets reset every day. I'm more cautious of white dots because they could very well be the person that kills a lot of players but only recently had their state reset. At least with a red dot I know what could go down. People are too paranoid for their own good in this game, I'm more than capable of putting someone down if they try to attack me so I usually give red dots a chance and more often than not they'll just leave me alone, but hey maybe people are nicer on Playstation :v: Not saying that the general playerbase for either systems are good, to me it's just one big smelly cesspit and we're all part of it.

I turned Rank 100 last night. It was like the ending to a movie. I noticed I had 2000rp until I level up, so I did Coveted for old times sake (and also because my brother hasn't played since October. He still has his stimulus money!). It went off without a hitch, me and my brother sniped one half the guys, and then just ran down the hill with carbines picking the other half off. Even the [B][I]Deathcopter•••®[/I][/B] couldn't catch up to us. After the mission was done and I was at Rank 100, the game put me near my car. I put the $18,000 into my bank account, and drove away. My Level 100 was nowhere near that cinematic. I just drove around the horse track at high speeds until the game said "CONGRATULATIONS!"

Finally reached 120 and got my minigun. Now I will be one of the cool kids on PC.. I will be the Noob Avenger. I'll pick up new players and take them to their first liquor store robbery, teach them everything the game has to offer (menu and game modes), and mow down any high levels who pick on noobs with my Pink Sniper Minigun of Justice.

I think that I'll just look for players under rank 40 to help them to complete missions like Death From Above, Landing Gear, Base Invaders which are hard as hell at low levels.

Okay so something really fucked up has happened to my game. I was driving into my garage and when I spawned it was completely empty apart from a player running around inside. Couldn't see the name tag so I have no clue who it was. I noticed I could access my weapon wheel so out of impulse I decided to kill the player (dick move I know, but the whole ordeal was so confusing). I couldn't bring up the pause or the interaction menus so I decided to drop a grenade in order to kill myself at which point I fell through the floor into the grey abyss underneath the map and reappeared somewhere on a road, dead and unable to move. I had no camera control or anything... I couldn't see the HUD or bring up any menus so I decided to dashboard which signed me out of Xbox Live. Signed back in just fine but now whenever I launch a game I get disconnected without warning and I cannot reconnect unless I go back to the dashboard. If I try whilst playing any game I get a message saying "Your connection to Xbox Live has been lost. Please sign in again." I cannot see any of my friends avatars or gamer pictures either. There was also this guy called "the nightbadger" who was sending me weird as fuck messages saying stuff like "rite m8 fite me I'm 8 av been lifting all day 790kg per arm lets go" I don't think he has anything to do with it at all but I'm so fucking confused right now. Worth mentioning that there are no problems with my internet on any other devices, it seems to be strictly limited to the Xbox. RIP.

So, since its confirmed and all... Should I get V on the PC? I already have it on PS3, but it feels like I'm missing out on A WHOLE LOT. My pc isn't all that good anymore, not even for GTA IV and even simpler games, but I SHOULD upgrade it somewhere down the line, if not build a new one, just so I could play games like this on max.

Probably some asshole modder doing some stupid shit, I'm gonna fuck around with GTA V files and see if I can fix it.

If you die at the far end of the altruist camp you're fucked because it spawns you on the mountain below with no short way back up so it takes like a minute to get back to where you died.

You could walk, run, jump, use your phone, fire weapons, everything. cars just sank and died though. 2. okay, so this is about sixty feet out from the pylons. already it's scary. this is a gap to an upwards protrusion of sorts. 3. I climbed down the steep slope to the side and got a picture of that gap from below. a few other players tried to jump down, and obviously, died. 4. farther down it began to get really steep. this is a player chickening out and basically saying, "you first." 5-6.
