Rockstar have always been weird with manufacturers and car periods in their games: - 1971 Nissan Skyline = 1980s Vulcar (Volvo parody) and not Annis (Nissan parody) - There are three brands for Chevrolet alone: Invetero, Declasse, and Cheval. - The Grotti Cheetah, which resembles a mix of very modern supercars, is apparently a "1970s prototype" - The Benefactor Glendale, which is a late-60s-early-70s Mercedes, is apparently a mid 1990s model.

Or they just use them because they are reliable. Look at the british/aus police force still using old as fuck land rover models because they just work. In rural places it makes sense to use older more tested vehicle models then modern stuff, it's cheap and you know its gonna work. That or the fleets just haven't been upgraded. :v:

I like to roleplay in GTA Online. I pretend that both of my characters are undercover Globalpol agents. They were sent to the same mission at the same time, they know each other, but for protocol reasons they should never cross each other in the city (this is why I can only play with one character at once), but they share the same funding by the Globalpol (they both have the same bank account). This is a special operation, the government of San Andreas isn't involved in this so they are in some way unaware about these two agents (this is why they can still attain a wanted level), however the Globalpol has contacts and funding to give them medical attention and pail bail (if necessary). Before both of the characters arrived, the Globalpol made up profiles in Lifeinvader in order to pass the agents as if they were having a friendly relationship with Lamar Davis. Lamar was 'the right contact' for the start of the operation, he has a big influence in the crime scene in Los Santos but he is also easily to lie to. It's supposed that the first character that arrived was the Female character, then the Male character. The goal of the Globalpol is to research about the crime scene in Los Santos. Since they can't really trust in the F.I.B or the I.A.A, they decide to start the operation on their own by sending to field agents. They both start with zero money, because if the Globalpol funded an operation like this, it would blow their cover, so they have to work their way to get money. There is a special UAV system for this. This UAV was developed by other agencies, it uses a database that shows the 15 Most-Wanted Criminals located in the area. They can be seen in GPS systems as white dots (supposing that their last crime was done in weeks ago), pink dots (they have committed multiple spotted crimes within the last days), red dots (they have been committing mayhem and other criminal activities in the last few hours without any stop) I always try to avoid using suits or 'hitman' outfits. I dress my characters like civilians, they want to hide their identity. I also play like if my characters had different personalities. One of my characters is pretty calm, smart and generally hard to spot, however, she can be easily killed and is often chased more frequently once she has been discovered. Her gameplay is more accuracy and stealth-agility based and she focuses mostly on the use of aircraft and mobility in the air to travel around the map. The other character is a trigger-happy undercover cop with an attitude: Before working for the Globalpol he used to be part of the VCPD. He gets angered easily at times when he is confronted by suspects, sometimes he makes use of excessive force when it's not needed. (Like bringing a tank to a raid on the streets). He is overall stronger than the other character, but he is pretty loud and enemies are usually expecting him to appear, sometimes they usually react by either trying to go after him or running away from him. His gameplay is more focused on killing multiple enemies in a row and making as much as damage as possible. He is a more driving-focused character. Many people would find this weird, but I like role-playing. [B]That was a lot of text[/B]

Some dude with a Zentorno challenged me to an improvised race along the highway. All I had to do was cut through the hills.

Even while I tend to write a lot of weird stuff in these forums (and more frequently in this section). I can't say that any of those things has ever affected me in real life or become relevant enough to affect my social interactions with people. Also. GTA is a sandbox game. Roleplaying is common.

Since I got my PC upgrade which makes GTAIV fucking [I]smooth[/I] I've been playing it. Just met Eddie Low. I'm so fucking disturbed right now, like, wow. I'm normally not phased by things in games, but the shit that just came out of his mouth, just, damn.
