I can't be the only one upset at how relatively few "lore-friendly" mods there are for GTA4. Sure there are a lot of tiny tweaks that don't break consistency, but if you want anything big then suddenly it's all name-branded stuff (Superman mod, real-world car packs for weeks, etc)

I wonder if it's possible to launch vehicles with the besra's door hydrolics

He's made a 1980s HD Cheetah out of a Testarossa model, made a Karin Rebel out of a Hilux, etc. Lots of lore friendly stuff there.

Did they fix the "On call" function or are there just more people playing? Now when I select "On call", the 1/8 counter actually rises.

I'll give those a shot for sure. Other than that, I hope someone eventually makes a half decent personal vehicle mod. The only one I've seen so far just uses the trainer to spawn a car next to you, having a scripted mechanic or drop-off points would go a long way towards making it feel less like just using spawncodes. That and not having the functions assigned to the numpad (via a contact on the phone instead), since I use a controller and completely lack a numpad.

I hate having d-pad up twice opening Snapmatic. It's irritating when i'm trying to phone the mechanic/lester etc.
