Grand Theft Auto Series Megathread V2: Give Me (GTA V) PC - Games

Where do you guys find all these "family" crews? I've never been a "victim".

I figure the collector's edition stuff will probably transfer over and be purchasable separately on the new console, and they'll have another special edition with new stuff to try and encourage people to buy it again.

It was either the Crimson or Scarlet something. and before they left they told us to "Remember them". Well, I guess I sort of did.

But that was for like 3 minutes because then they started using guns because they were losing.

I always try to organize "gang" crews. I can't think of anything funnier than chasing down unsuspecting players with knives and bats and beating the shit out of them.

Reminds me of that one time that six of us drove to some dude on Vespucci beach, got out, and began beating the shit out of his car until he eventually pulled a gun on us this sparked a fight with his crew, which was suffice to say pretty funny

Guess I'm not getting the mask, since LTS requires more than one person and NOBODY wants to play it. I'm thinking of getting GTA IV for PC. Is that a good idea?

What preliminary stuff do I need to make it run smoothly though? I heard a few years ago that getting it to run fine was a nightmare and how it just wouldn't work on certain computers.

Your processor is not very good also and GTA IV is very CPU intensitive.. If i were you i'd download it from "elsewhere", run the benchmark and then buy it if successful. I don't see any shame in that, it's the industry's fault for abandoning demos. I doubt you won't be able to run it on medium at least at a fair framerate, but i'd check before buying just to be safe. I always do.

Ahaha holy fuck this is the funniest shit! I'm in a game and these two guys were chasing me down the highway into the city. One of them tries to ram me but ends up wrapping his car around the tree I was standing behind, his buddy tries to sticky bomb me but ends up blowing himself and his mate up as I drive away, utterly speechless. Later on I was using a rather unsavoury method of annoying them by glitching into the ground, I wasn't shooting them or anything, just enjoying myself as they tried to kill me. After about five minutes of pootling around one of them calls an air strike on me but somehow the flare gets stuck in his car and he went into a mad frenzy trying to get it out, eventually he bailed out of his car just as the air strike came down, after he picked himself up off the ground his friend tries to pick him up and is clearly going waaaayy too fast and knocks the other guy into the path of the last few missiles, blowing them both up. Sadly they quit soon after. The funniest part is I indirectly caused two players to rage quit without really....doing anything at all. :v:

I remember it not running properly when I first got it, BUT that might be because I got a physical copy. It seemed to work fine after I repurchased it on steam but who knows. Also regarding the ~mafia~ type crews, I figure those are mostly on the 360. Never encountered them on PS3.

I don't like enemies carrying miniguns at Gang Attacks when you're beyond Rank 100. They're kinda op at times, the whole "Fog of War" system doesn't help either, I don't like walking into an empty room and suddenly being slaughtered instantly by a Merryweather soldier with a minigun just becuase the radar doesn't show enemies unless they shot at you.

Seems your body armor is best used to survive the sudden magical ambush, rather protect for the whole fight.

It would be better if it was a little like The Long Stretch. You arrive to the gang attack and kill a few enemies, then multiple vehicles with "backup enemies" start arriving to your location. But I wonder if GTA:O is ready for something like that, I don't think that it could handle spawning vehicles frequently, when there are more than one player doing a gang attack at the same time.
