I REALLY hope that the characters and content transferring over to the next gen versions doesn't fuck up. Rockstar is making it sound way too good to be true.

Would be cool if you could drive it and have parties on it.
I'd be fine if it was a static object in Online. I'd be fine if they even had one interesting location like GTA IV did.

Sure the environment is more varied, but there aren't many places that are that fun to have a shootout with the cops at. I think GTA IV had more memorable spots since everywhere else was kind of boring. There was the airport, the hospitals, the fast food places, the majestic, the factory, the sniper building, the apartments, the lawyers office, the subway system that went across the entire map, etc. Sure GTA V still has it's fair share of cool places but there aren't that many interiors, and the ones it does have are usually very small with only a few entrances. Coupled with the fact the AI are super accurate and not very fun to fight as well as infinitely spawning helicopters which make any on-foot shootout in the open impossible it makes them all kind of boring. I hope with the next-gen port they fix the police spawning/stealth system, as well as open up all the interiors that are locked in GTA Online for some reason.
can we change the thread title to "Dukes 'o Death Hypetrain" please and thanks ye GTA V doesn't feel as "alive" as IV did, sure there's tons of content but christ downtown LA does NOT have three identical cars at every stoplight I think it's harder to get immersed in GTA V because of the limitations of last-gen; i.e. traffic/ped/vehicle density, which really made GTA IV believable

They're just too good. I'll blow by a roadbloack at 80 mph and still get shot through my window 3 times. The helicopters are a major pain in the ass too, even if you shoot one down, another will spawn within a minute.
It's an even bigger pain in the dick now that you can't shoot the tail rotors off a helicopter unless the engine is off, such bullshit.
It's an even bigger pain in the dick now that you can't shoot the tail rotors off a helicopter unless the engine is off, such bullshit.
THAT EXPLAINS SO MUCH
You know what would hype me up the most for next gen? CROUCHING!
It's an even bigger pain in the dick now that you can't shoot the tail rotors off a helicopter unless the engine is off, such bullshit.
they added auto aim on the marksmen but removed tail shooting this is the worst kind of balancing indeed and fucking rude against free aim players

Man, that special version of the Duke looks cool as fuck. I'd just wish I could get it. :(
I'm so hype to get back into the game when the PS4 version releases. Glad I don't have to start at scratch with my online character too after all the Criminal Records boosting I did with some FP folks.
I finally 100%ed GTASA, with a recorded time of 45:49(Hours:Minutes). It is still my favorite GTA, it was just too well done for any of the others to beat it.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't a lack of memorable locations exactly why people didn't like GTA IV?
I think most people just didn't like that everything was so bland and similar, even though you had low-income and high-income neighborhoods it was all sort of grey and dingy. It had memorable locations, but the overall aesthetic was quite dull, in contrast to GTA V where the aesthetic is strong and the locations feel varied, but there really aren't that many interesting places to go and do things. Sure there are lots of locations that are unique, but they don't really have a purpose and there's not much to do there. You have the Walk of Fame, the Prison, the Humane Labs, but they all are either boring, closed, or restricted which means they're rarely used for anything other than set dressing as you do other stuff. I'm not sure how many people feel the same way, but when I think of GTA IV I always think of the airport, the Majestic, or that circle thing you could play demolition derby in with friends. I don't really think about Star Junction or Happiness Island, even though they are unique places, just because there's nothing to do there. Most of the memorable places in GTA come from the things you do, not just because they are unique.
They need to put in a glitchy swing set just because
I wish there were still game rental places near me, I'd rent GTA5 for the X-Box One just to tide me over for PC.
Following Three Leaf Clover and opening up Alderny I have lost all will to continue GTA4. Sets you up on such a high with that mission and then it gets... Boring. Really, really boring after that.
gonna drop this
Why can't I change my hood's color on the Voltic Topless? It's a horrifying yellow and looks a bit weird on a white car.
I need me some PS4 gameplay. Comes out in under three weeks, but will have a couple of games that are coming out between now and then to tie me over game wise.
GTA V comes out same day as Far Cry 4 and 4 days after AC: Unity. Whyyyy.
GTA V comes out same day as Far Cry 4 and 4 days after AC: Unity. Whyyyy.
Joke's on Ubisoft, I'm not interested in those two series one bit. The only title I'm vaguely interested in has already been pushed back well past GTA.

Been playing console games for so long that when I play a game at above 30 it feels really unnatural.

does anyone else here like to take your favorite songs from the game, put them into your custom track playlist so it seems like the in-game stations aren't the only stations to play certain songs? adds a bit of realism for me, and i get to listen to the songs uncensored and ad-free.
