Very peeved that if I transfer my character to Xbone or PS4, can't transfer it to PC. I pretty much HAVE to wait for the PC one to come out. There is not just "Why don't you just buy it on the nextgen console, lol" Very stupid move Rockstar. You coulda had me buying three copies instead of two. Now the months will feel like years.
You could just not play Multiplayer, or make a new character for the heck of it? Should tie you over until the PC release.

I only have one PSN account and one Rockstar account.

Ah there is info on how you transfer http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/tutorials When you Log into the Next-Gen version of the game, it will ask if you want to transfer, I guess you can just say no.
You will need a Rockstar Games Social Club account linked to the console accounts used when previously playing GTA Online. When entering GTA Online, you will be given the option to transfer your previous GTA Online character and progression data. Once you have chosen to transfer your previous character and progression data, the transferable in-game money, RP and Rank of all previous characters will be displayed. These are the characters that will be transferred to the PlayStation®4 or Xbox One. Once the transfer has completed, you will be prompted to choose a character and enter GTA Online. You will still be able to play your existing characters on PlayStation®3 and/or Xbox 360, however any progress made with versions of the characters on those systems after a transfer will remain on those systems only. Any existing PlayStation®4 or Xbox One GTA Online character and progression data will be replaced by the previous character and progression data during the transfer, except for any existing in-game money, which will be combined with your transferred balance. All earned in-game money will transfer. Purchased in-game money that has not yet been spent will only transfer within a console family (e.g. PlayStation®3 to PlayStation®4).
So I installed GTA IV on my new PC, and when I go to change the settings and stuff for graphics the options are acting like I have left held down or something, when I move the resolution slider up to my resolution and release the mouse it moves all the way back down, and when I hold D or something to move it to the right it just makes a bunch of noise and you can see the slider jumping back and forth between the smallest res, and the option just to it's right. Why is this happening

Happened to me before. Do you have a controller plugged in?
Do you have enough video memory? If not and you still want to risk it, you can add "-norestrictions -nomemrestrict" to the command line.
4 gb of vram, I tried using those and I can change the settings now, thanks.
4 gb of vram, I tried using those and I can change the settings now, thanks.
Ah yes. There's a bug with the game not recognizing VRAM past a certain amount.
Had this on 360, pre-ordered my PS4 copy too, most likely will get this on PC too. Some may call me mad but Rockstar deserve my cash x 3 tbh
I'll wait until they release official system requirements before a decide what I'm going to buy it on.
4 gb of vram, I tried using those and I can change the settings now, thanks.
Sadly GTA IV will recognize how much vram you have but still disables shit if it doesn't recognize your card Do you have a relatively new one? This happened with my 980. Either way Matheus posted the fix

Rockstar sell GTA V for 122 for last gen 102 current gen 87 PC I don't understand http://preorder.rockstarwarehouse.com/store/tk2rstar/pd/productID.305286700
Most PC gamers would prefer to preorder on Steam? That's just my guess, as that's what I'm waiting for.
Wait, are people actually talking about pre-orders? :suicide:
It appears the rep misunderstood me. You can move only once from PS3/360 to NextGen, but you can move freely between Xbone/PS4/PC.
Someone I know post this on FB with the first person trailer attached...
Wow, 200 hours. Completely unacceptable.
I'd be happy to get 200 hours out of a full price game
http://gtaforums.com/topic/745799-v-pc-to-use-denuvo-drm/#entry1066428562 Don't know how credible it is.
Well, so much for good performance, I guess. Even Sim City got cracked after some time, and the interest towards that game was a lot less than the interest for GTA 5 will be, so if it causes issues, maybe hackers will be able to fix it
If they took a lot of time to announce it (and considering that this was developed by another set of people), I'm pretty sure they have already made sure that everything was ready for First Person Mode. It wouldn't make sense for them to add First Person without improving textures, add detail to ragdoll animations (hell, you can even ADS with weapons) and in general making changes to vehicles and aircraft. Of course there will be bugs on release, like any other game, it doesn't help that there is a company in game called Bugstars.

Rockstar knows their main market so they are price gouging it.
All the console releases are £54.99 while PC is £49.99 here. Rockstar knows their main market so they are price gouging it.
Yay australia tax
Nah, they need time to pump if full of DRM and systems to stop you modding in money on GTAO.
Oh also turns out I was right.
In Canada the price is the same for all versions, even last gen $59.99. Either that or the mobile interface broke and the price didn't change. [editline]7th November 2014[/editline] Amazon.ca lists PC/PS4/X-Box One versions as 69.99
Imo it doesn't make sense to charge different prices per platform unless it is a digital purchase, which should cost slightly less due to lack of packaging/printed manuals/fold up maps that rockstar like to include with their games.
Just pre-ordered for the xbone for £20.10 from tesco, not bad
How did you get it that cheap?

I mean I get retail, to make sure you won't hit a shortage (though that rarely ever happens nowadays ) but digital pre purchase? Why?
