FOV Comparison, Min vs Max http://imgur.com/a/DrIdt
That's not all that big of a difference. But the shots are a bit zoomed in so you can't really tell. Maybe there will be more options for PC.
and this is why we can't have nice things
There is something wrong with that image. The tweet at the top is from @cheesefry7, but Rockstar's tweet says they're responding to someone called @Phillyboy_1er What.
[t]https://i.imgur.com/6nJHu1h.jpg[/t] the hype is real
Shit yes [editline]15th November 2014[/editline] we're in the danger zone
Unrelated to next gen but related to snitches: I was playing as my second character who is relatively low level and in a deathmatch I went about 25 and 4. Afterwards the three others in the match all messaged me that "There's no way someone as low level as you can be so good im reporting you for aimbotting". Sounds like some people need to git gud. Also twice today someone has crashed their jet trying to kill me. Both times I was in my Buccaneer, and the two separate people came way too low and crashed in their attempt to bomb me. Even over a year after launch of online it still amazes me how hostile people are in it. [editline]15th November 2014[/editline] IM ON THE HIGHWAY TO THE DANGER ZONE FUCK YES
I'm still gonna put the Cherlene/Kenny duet version on the User Radio though.
Also, are there any estimated system requirements for the PC version?
Also, are there any estimated system requirements for the PC version?
Loot at max payne 3 for your estimate.
Loot at max payne 3 for your estimate.
Max Payne 3 wasn't wide open world. I would expect GTA5's requirements to be higher, at least in the RAM department.
Max Payne 3 wasn't wide open world. -snip-
One thing we can probably estimate about the PC version is that it's most likely going to need ~55GB, since the PS4 needed that? Damnit merge.
Also, are there any estimated system requirements for the PC version?
I'd imagine if you can play 4 with a good 30fps maxed, this game should be no problem at medium at least.
Max Payne 3 wasn't wide open world. I would expect GTA5's requirements to be higher, at least in the RAM department.
Well to be honest Max Payne 3 (even on consoles) was a lot more graphically impressive than the console versions of GTA V. [editline]15th November 2014[/editline]
I'd imagine if you can play 4 with a good 30fps maxed, this game should be no problem at medium at least.
If you can play 4 with 30fps maxed you should be able to play this at 60fps (either maxed or high/medium). 4 port is cancer and varies between 30-50fps even on more high end machines.
Also has anyone noticed if vehicles still have that fake physics when they're (supposed to be) far away? I hated that shit because when it shifted from fake physics to real physics when they got close, they'd just drive into me.
GTA IV ran at 60fps on max on my shitty laptop that can barely run Civ V/Fable 3/Bioshock Infinite/Skyrim.
I'm starting to think that's bullshit. IV runs at 30-50fps at medium 1080p for me on my PC that runs all those games at max 60fps
I'm starting to think that's bullshit. IV runs at 30-50fps at medium 1080p for me on my PC that runs all those games at max 60fps
It really depends on the rig
GTA IV ran at 60fps on max on my shitty laptop that can barely run Civ V/Fable 3/Bioshock Infinite/Skyrim.
yeah right
I've noticed something about new about online, this guy that is streaming is playing with a friend, who appears on the map, and there a few other people in the lobby, who don't appear on the map. Which is neat, people aren't just gunna drive to the nearest blip and start shit with someone now, and it feels less like there are other players in the lobby, and more like there are other players in the city which you can randomly come across.
I get 60FPS with v-sync, maxed, on my i5-2500k/GTX560Ti/6GB system. The game is weird, though. Some hardware configs work fine, some just don't work at all.
yeah, really each time the game is ran it could run completely different. Also the Steam version runs better for me because my retail disk is scratched enough to fuck the game up, but it still installs. Just sounds cut out and lag drops.
I heard something about the pirated version runs better because it's not cluttered with layers of DRM. Don't know how true this is though.
I heard something about the pirated version runs better because it's not cluttered with layers of DRM. Don't know how true this is though.
Wouldn't surprise me.
I heard something about the pirated version runs better because it's not cluttered with layers of DRM.
I heard something about the pirated version runs better because it's not cluttered with layers of DRM. Don't know how true this is though.
Any effect that SecuROM or GFWL would have would be minimal at worst.
Any effect that SecuROM or GFWL would have would be minimal at worst.
Considering optimization of GTA 4, I doubt it. Even if it would be minimal, it would be multiplied by the awful PC port. Also it's very easy to check, just "Yargh!" your GTA4 and see how is performance before and after.

[editline]15th November 2014[/editline] Also, my PS4 copy just got dispatched via Royal Mail Tracked. So a very small chance i'll have it monday.
There is something wrong with that image. The tweet at the top is from @cheesefry7, but Rockstar's tweet says they're responding to someone called @Phillyboy_1er What.
Basically the chat went insane over a snitch during the time and 50+ people went ahead and insulted him, resulting in the kid making his twitter private, and possibly later changing his name.
Considering optimization of GTA 4, I doubt it. Even if it would be minimal, it would be multiplied by the awful PC port. Also it's very easy to check, just "Yargh!" your GTA4 and see how is performance before and after.
Considering how little of a difference GFWL made on performance on things like Fallout 3 or Resident Evil 5 I still doubt it. I'd put 99% of the blame on the horrid port job for GTA IV rather than some DRM. Not sure how light SecuROM is but I imagine GFWL or Steam to cause more of a performance hit than it.
I'm wondering when I transfer my character, am I able to change gender or am I SOL on that front?
