How do they not care about their fanbase? I realize that Rockstar has fucked up numerous times in a variety of different ways, but I think people are giving them a lot more shit than they actually deserve.
"no fun allowed" They deserve all the shit they get regarding that.
Even though Rockstar can be pretty restrictive, I appreciate the FREE DLC that they have been giving us since last year.
If they didn't care, why would they extend the Winter event (minus the snow)?
Even though Rockstar can be pretty restrictive, I appreciate the FREE DLC that they have been giving us since last year.
Yeah but giving us free DLC doesn't just instantly make us forget some fuck ups, now if we had actually asked for DLC and they then instead gave it to us for free, that'd make us forget.
ugh PSN is getting on my nerves. I keep spamming the X button to try and sign in to PSN, and when it finally works, I can access everything EXCEPT GTA Online.
Apparently it's due to the newly implemented DDoS protection. "Waaah! I hate Rockstar! They made a fantastic highly-reviewing game, and frequently release new content, but because they are a week behind on showing us the recommended specs on an in-development game build, they are the WORST COMPANY EVER!"
but because they are a week behind on showing us the recommended specs on an in-development game build, they are the WORST COMPANY EVER!"
They're three months behind on PC though and who knows how many months behind on Heists. Then there was also the last-gen delay. I get it, GTA V is a hell of an ambitious game and trouble along the path is to be expected, but the way Rockstar handles their most loyal fanbase just aggravates their reputation. They're dead silent about everything they're making and instead of hinting beforehand at a delay in order to make it less painful, they announce it out of nowhere when we're already tired of waiting. It's like they don't want to talk about it until they're sure about a release date, but even then they still fail to meet that date. Also, is it that hard to not promise "next week" if you're not fucking doing it next week? I'd rather they pull it off out of nowhere whenever they want than bullshit us.
What R* needs to do when making announcements for any date, is double the time. So if they say 2 weeks delay, they usually mean a month. [editline]28th December 2014[/editline] Not only do we get Valve time, now we have R* time.
I like how all review site were like "10/10 PERFECT GAME THERE IS NO GAME BETTER THAN THIS ORGASM" before GTA:O was even out. That'd be like reviewing a call of duty game for the singleplayer.
The fuck? It's not even remotely like that, the singleplayer campaign is by the far the biggest focus in a GTA game and just that alone was enough to make GTAV an amazing game.
The fuck? It's not even remotely like that, the singleplayer campaign is by the far the biggest focus in a GTA game and just that alone was enough to make GTAV an amazing game.
I thought the singleplayer was kind of lackluster honestly. It really felt like they were pushed for time and they had to cut quite a few corners, which I'd assume would be GTA Online's fault. It's still a good game, but I definitely wouldn't give it a 10/10. With how lackluster GTA Online turned out to be it'd probably be around a strong eight to me. Remember when Rockstar said pre-release that GTA Online was going to be to multiplayer what GTA III was to singleplayer? Lol.
Even though Rockstar can be pretty restrictive, I appreciate the FREE DLC that they have been giving us since last year.
Online restricts fun like a motherfucker. And we're not getting a simple freeroam multiplayer because Rockstar. And the singleplayer could also use some of the features from Online like the garage system, insurance, properties, phone services, clothing, customization, all kinds of shit really. But we're not getting it, because Rockstar. Generally it could use a lot of shit on its own but those shouldn't be hard to do. Then again I guess it isn't little to ask, it's not like Rockstar is the creator of some of the best selling game of all time and swimming in money OH WAIT yes they are, and they still don't give a shit. They got their money, and their microtransaction money machine up and running (for which we get guns and cars to said multiplayer and unfinished sandbox singleplayer while its other issues remain ignored) and frankly barely care about anything else. Rockstar certainly is far from a bad company but they don't really seem to put effort into communication with the community either, probably because as someone said, they know people will eat that shit up anyway, so why even bother. I really don't give a shit about waiting periods, better to delay something than to fuck it up, but it's about the things that aren't getting done at all. Obviously, the game ain't bad, in fact it's really good, but there's a fuckload of wasted potential that given the effort of creating what we have really shouldn't be hard to fix. It's like an amazing but slightly unfinished painting - you appreciate the craftsmanship, but that tiny finishing touch, that very last brush would have payed itself off triple to the amazingness of the painting as a whole for the effort it would have required. /rant
That being said, where is the tow truck online? Why can't we open plane cargo doors..
I say cut R* some slack. They built this amazing game that actually worked (After a few days) on shitty hardware older than some people who were playing the game. Then they didn't just port it to the PS4/Xbox 1, they improved it. By a lot. Then in a month, it's going to be on PC, too, with those same improvements and even more since we'll be able to jack settings up a bit higher. Then you have all the free DLC, Holiday events, compensation for downtimes So aside from Heists being late, I don't see the big deal. If they don't give a shit about us it doesn't matter because the game is fucking great and 99% of us only care about playing the game My only complaints with GTA5 have been I don't like the car handling so much, and the constant loading between games/transitions. But I have a SSD so hopefully my biggest gripe will be a thing of the past

Now my buddies I planned to play with got bored and moved on. And GTA O isn't as fun when you're alone. Great game and all, but the way they handled Online and such recently is leaving a sour taste in my mouth.
My only complaints with GTA5 have been I don't like the car handling so much
i seriously can't see the problem in GTA V's carplay the driving is good, satisfying with touches of arcadey, the turning doesn't turn into a soap opera like IV's, you can actually do 90° turns without facing against the wall IV was way too soapy to be satisfying

(or someone)

Anyways, arguably the issue is that they say too much - if they never announced heists, then we'd all be insanely happy when we hear that it's coming in a couple weeks! However, even despite it being free, when they announce it a long time ago and take their time instead we're unhappy about it taking too long.
And the content was removed, so no idea what the fuck it said.
Basically go to settings, network, whatever, set up an internet connection. Go custom instead of basic, then just click automatic on all of them until you get the MTU, then change that to 1473.
That being said, where is the tow truck online?
It glitches the game like a motherfucker when you attach it to other players' cars, and many people used it for trolling. They dropped people's cars in the water and didn't have to pay the insurance.

His friend messaged me a hour later saying his friend's Xbox's hard-drive corrupted, because it was saving at the same time it crashed when I attached it to a tow truck. good times.
It glitches the game like a motherfucker when you attach it to other players' cars, and many people used it for trolling. They dropped people's cars in the water and didn't have to pay the insurance.
Can't you just do the same with a Cargobob though?
Is there anywhere you can download the radio stations as mp3s or something? I don't feel like looking for every song on the tracklist. Also, I fucking love FlyLo FM now. I didn't really listen to the audio in last-gen but thanks to the PS4's audio though the controller thing I can hear everything and it's great.
Can't you just do the same with a Cargobob though?
Yeah, and it'd be way easier to do it with the cargobob too. I'm pretty sure that the only reason the tow truck isn't in online is because when driving, if a player rammed behind the truck while the hook was lowered, they'd get caught on the hook and it's not really fun. They could have fixed it by making it not hook player vehicles, but then what point would there be in having the tow truck online anyway?

You know, like how they can't be arsed to fix glitched missions and instead just outright remove them.
Holy shit, I got GTA Online working just in time. I got to play a survival mission with Garrett Hunter from Mega64
I wish you could customize your character after the character creation. You'd think there'd be at least one plastic surgeon in LS. Is the map in the apartment new? I don't remember it being there before. Looks like the collector's edition one. Surprisingly high-res so I'd expect heist stuff.

Its meerly OK. Not great, not bad, and definetly not awful. But not great either.
