where are they? I've played this game nonstop and haven't seen any.
I found some in Cypress Flats, near the gun shop, I think.
There's a whole bunch on farms near Grapeseed I think.
Killing cows with your punches is a faster way to level up strength than doing the 20 punches on whatever.
I think high quality textures are necessary, but you've got to increase the model quality as well. You can't just go photorealistic textures on low-poly models, you've got to upgrade the whole gamut. Photorealistic textures on low-poly models is just as immersion-breaking.
Definitely, but textures tend to take up more memory and storage space.

With nextgen i was kind of expecting animals to be online. They really give the world life.
Someone killed me for no reason, I watched him for like 5 minutes and waited for the right moment...

this is mostly a test for the ps4 share also it was only after this that I realized that my ragdoll doesn't ragdoll other players =(
How long before someone makes a GTAV video trailer of Taken 3. I feel like Michael can pull off the look.
Only Liam Neeson can pull off looking like Liam Neeson.
Only Liam Neeson can pull off looking like Liam Neeson.
sounding like Liam Neeson is a whole other story..
maybe that's why animals aren't online
If I remember correctly. Animals interact in a certain way with the player when you approach to them, this would create some issues in Online, at the least that's what I read somewhere. It would be good if Rockstar made a post explaining why certain stuff isn't Online.
They seem to only react to the player - a semi tractor trailer driven by an NPC can pass them and they'll ignore it, and then dash away madly when the player then rides by on a bicycle. This would be difficult for the servers to calculate in online, with more than one player approaching from multiple directions. It would probably cause a massive spaz-out if a full session's worth of players approached a deer from all sides.

I want to be able to go offroading and occasionally accidentally hit a deer.

I'd actually enjoy hunting near Paleto Forest and maybe just for actual recreational purposes get like 50 reputation per kill with friends.
Wait I thought the Next Gen online had animals on it, I mean Rockstar said it would. Am I missing something here or has Rockstar bullshitted again.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/kwXNoEu.png[/t]
What a load of shit, it was announced back when they released news about Next-Gen coming out that they were adding animals to online as well as new animals. Guess they backpedaled fucking hard on that like they did with heists.
Switch between the interconnected lives of Michael, Trevor and Franklin as they embark on a series of heists across Los Santos and Blaine County in the biggest, deepest and richest open world experience yet, with game world enhancements that include new wildlife, upgraded weather and damage effects, and an array of new details to discover.
No mention of online animals, just new ones added to single player. Which they did add. The only people who said there would be animals online were the leakers before Next Gen release.

Who care about animals and fun we gotta nerf payouts some more
The unique Dukes isn't available online, that really bugs me.
Still a load of shit, surely the PS4 and Xbone can handle some basic AI that these have, we've got civs so why the fuck no animals?
Shut up, I highly doubt it has anything to do with the Xbox One and PS4's capabilities.
I just want to ride a goddamn horse in GTA Online
I just want to ride a goddamn horse in GTA Online
Present day cowboying through the streets would be ballin' Hold on guys just gotta park my horse
I just want to ride a goddamn horse in GTA Online
rdr
All the horsies would get slaughtered by zentornos + sticky bombs :( Also, I REAAAALLY hope PC doesn't separate lobbies between auto aim and free aim like Max Payne 3. I mean come on how hard can aiming be.
Still a load of shit, surely the PS4 and Xbone can handle some basic AI that these have, we've got civs so why the fuck no animals?
They are capable of the extra AI, that's why they have them in single player. They aren't online because it means there's a lot more stuff for people's shitty connections so synchronise. The 360 and PS3 could do animals online if people could stay in sync for more than 15 seconds.
