Everyone on the GTAForums are threatening to pirate the game now haha
So is Rockstar going by Valvetime now?
Called it, Rockstar really don't give a fuck about their customers.

It's only two months, and it's pretty clear they're actually using that to put polish onto the game. I was hoping the confirmed release date would have stopped people complaining but nope, always got to find something to complain about.
Guys, it's 2 months. Seriously. Calm the fuck down, it's not the end of the world
Called it, Rockstar really don't give a fuck about their customers.
you can't be serious

Also I fail to see this "polish" of which you speak, doesn't look much better than the PS4/XB1
I found the real reason for the new delay, and it is the same reason for the Jan 27 over fall 2014 delay, More console dicksucking.
I don't see how this is console dicksucking. Rockstar always delays things. Remember the trailer for GTA Online that confirmed heists? That was almost a year ago and we are getting them in a few weeks (luckily if they don't choose to delay them AGAIN). If anything, it's just Rockstar not meeting deadlines again, same thing happened when GTA V was first released, when GTA Online got released (it wasn't actually a delay but it was unplayable for a few weeks), when heists got confirmed in the trailer and were confirmed for spring of that year and then delayed for the next year.
Recommended: FX 8350. Shit. Anyone got $100 bucks I can borrow? Looks like there's a lot of lee-way with the options, though. From as little as 2.5ghz Quad, 4GB of RAM and a HD4870. I wonder how playable it would be at minimum.

As for the polish:
GTAV for PC pushes Los Santos and Blaine County to even greater levels of detail, running at 1080p and 60fps with up to 4K resolution and support for up to triple monitor configurations, as well as NVidia 3D Vision for up to triple monitor setups.
That sounds like more than enough to assume they're putting the effort into making it a decent port. The screenshots might be bullshots, but you can already see the increased texture resolutions, and they're all released in 4k.

Also I fail to see this "polish" of which you speak, doesn't look much better than the PS4/XB1
you really need to get over it, there's plenty of productive things you could do in 2 months other than whining on an internet forum about a video game
you can't be serious
I am, they can't take deadlines seriously so end up damaging relationships with their customers, if they were gonna delay it they should have announced it sooner when it was clear they wouldn't meet the deadline, instead they fuck us around and cause a lot of negative responses. Nevermind how they constantly go silent about everything or just respond with canned replies, they are taking the stance similar to what Valve has done lately where if you don't actually know a developer or someone who works at the developer, you ain't gonna get jackshit of a response, warning or information. Its shit PR handling and it just damages relations between them and the customer. Yeah I'm annoyed because I've waited long enough, sure they are bug squashing thats fine and all, its the PR department which has handled this poorly. The PR department doesn't give a fuck.
I have an i7 4790, 16 gigs of RAM and a 750. How well should I be able to run this?
To be honest, I'd be happier if they'd release a slightly less polished version of the game in two weeks than to delay it by two months.
oh well, i guess i'll kill those 2 months with Test Drive Unlimited 2 and CSGO mapping

Then they pushed it back 2 months, no explanation other than "polish" now they are pulling the same excuse. it doesn't take half a year to "polish" a game. That's DLC-tier timeframe, not "polish" [editline]13th January 2015[/editline]
you really need to get over it, there's plenty of productive things you could do in 2 months other than whining on an internet forum about a video game
What, I can't be annoyed and voice that annoyance among peers that something I've been waiting more than 3 years for just got delayed again?

I feel like this would of been a good opportunity for a game to have a good reason to go onto steam early access rather than piss everyone off with what I would consider an overly excessive delay.
I have an i7 4790, 16 gigs of RAM and a 750. How well should I be able to run this?
Minimum settings, 320x240 resolution, 24fps.
Minimum settings, 320x240 resolution, 24fps.
You crazy. Even my 233mhz was able to run Delta Force at 512x512
snip fuck it
Yeah... Just two months if the waiting for you started today. I've been waiting for over three years now.
Me too, but it's like eh. Getting upset won't get us anything. The worst thing is that you would expect better from a AAA company like Rockstar. 2 years just for performance is not good. I know we almost certainly won't be getting it, but additional content at this point would be fair.
Couple of days ago: "yep it's coming out end of January 2015, that's right." - Rockstar A couple of days after that announcement a couple of days ago: "lmao no" - Rockstar [editline]13th January 2015[/editline] I don't care as much, my laptop may not even be able to handle it, but it's still retarded.
To be honest, I'd be happier if they'd release a slightly less polished version of the game in two weeks than to delay it by two months.
why would anyone ever wish a game was less polished and optimized, are you guys high?
I'm contemplating just getting it on PS4 at this point
You know what happens when you take deadlines seriously? AC Unity Battlefield 4
Difference between realistic and unrealistic deadlines. And this is more a lack of communication that I'm bitching about, Rockstar's PR is beyond shit.
Do you guys all remember when GTA Online was launched and Rockstar were saying shit like "heists will be out next week"? :v: [sp]heists will be out in the coming weeks, boys[/sp]
Cheers cockstar. They'd never even dream of slapping a 2 month delay on a console version of one of their games 1.5 weeks before the advertised release date. Plus side is the specs seem alright, minimum are from like 2008/9. My i7 920 @ 4GHz w/ 6GB ram and a GTX560Ti 1GB should hopefully tide me over alright :) then again GTA IV's requirements weren't that steep and that ended up being a piece of shit as we know... Why do you care about their public relations? I doubt they care if a bunch of people think they are shit, they are one of the biggest game developers ever and they'll sell millions regardless. The game's still coming out and it's still going to be the same game, it's just going to work better and be better in the grand scheme of things.
