Its tons of fun to get in massive fights and just see how long you can live, or live long enough to escape. More so in coop.

I prefer how Notoriety worked in Saints Row 1 and 2, the way there was a bar that built up before getting stars.

So I'm playing Saints Row 2 and I have to take down this helicopter with a rocket launcher. I hit it dead center and my character brags "You thought you could kill me?" Not one second later, the helicopter crashes onto my character, killing him

The skills you get from completing certain challenges, for example, helps get people to do more of said activities.
