any help with this? I'm having the same issue in both saints row 3 and saints row 4 inauguration station, where I start the game and it goes through the splash screens but at some point during the initial loading screen the game decides that it doesn't want to run before I even get to the main menu

I get this, which tells me basically nothing

saints row 3 ran fine when I was on windows 7 so I know it's a software problem somewhere. I'm in the process of updating my gpu drivers but I'm using the same ones I was using when I was on windows 7 so I'm not sure it'll help

(probably incomplete) list of things I've tried:
updating gpu drivers
updating directx
updating vcredist
running in various compatibility modes
rebooting
running windows update
running as administrator
running dx9 mode
running dx10/11 mode
redownloading the game

there are other people online who have had the problem but all the threads are inconclusive. in one case the OP got it working and had the thread closed without explaining a solution but in the rest the thread was abandoned before any useful or unique input was made.

as for specs:
windows 8 pro 64-bit
AMD Phenom II x6 1065T
Asus M5A99X EVO
AMD Radeon HD 6800 series (if I remember right it's an XFX brand 6870 1 GB, but I bought it over a year ago and it's got an aftermarket cooler on it since XFX can't figure out how to make a cooling fan. I do know it's 6800 series, made by XFX, and a 1 GB model though)
16 GB DDR3 1600, 2x8gb

anything else relevant?

There's a bunch of Deadpool characters on the Saints Row site. I saw a really good one before but now I can't find it. They all sort of look the same anyways.

Gentlemen of The Row does a lot, but other than that there's not much else. Vsync is the most performance damaging option, so leave that off. I also recommend turning off HDR and any DoF or motion blur.

I'm not surprised they didn't change the STAG uniform to have different colors.
Now that this game is planning to have more modding freedom, maybe someone can make a version where we can have more colors for items and such.
