Is there a version of the teaser pic with the car that doesn't have the Saints Row IV text? I want to use it as my phone lock screen, but the text is in the way.
Do people really not just look around in the options before playing?
I did but I wasn't sure what the hell they meant with advanced flight controls, so I didn't use it and eventually forgot all about it until much later.
Do people really not just look around in the options before playing?
The first thing everybody should always do before playing any game is look through the options.
Ben King is making a return. I wonder if Julius's murder will ever comes up. That would be really awkward.
Oh, seriously? I really don't feel this kind of Saints craziness can mediate the story in the way I want.
Oh, seriously? I really don't feel this kind of Saints craziness can mediate the story in the way I want.
Why not?
Why not?
Goofyness => Can't take the story seriously => Me no happy
Goofyness => Can't take the story seriously => Me no happy
I guess this is just me, but with supposedly goofy games, I just go with the flow. Yeah, a fart in a jar sounds retarded, but it's an effective stun, so I can't complain.
Y'know, I'm just now realizing that the clone could easily fill both Gat's role as the badass second-in-command AND Oleg's role as the brute force. If he's used like that, they might decide to kill off or get rid of Oleg.
I hope they don't kill off Oleg. It'd create some interesting dialogue between clone Gat and him, I think.
"That PAX Demo is a very early pre-alpha build. While I can't reveal any details yet because of the NDA I signed, I can tell you that a lot has changed visually since that video footage was taken. I was also told that even more game assets were being changed/added on a daily basis during their crunch time while finishing it. Don't lose hope!" It sucks how much (supposedly) undeserved hate this game is getting, but it didn't start until they started promoting it. They should have been blowing peoples minds.

The biggest complaint is "this is glorified DLC" or "this is an expansion pack for full price" and nothing they've done has addressed that. Apart from a split-second shot inside the White House and one or two quick glimpses of the interior of the alien's ship, everything we've seen has been in the city of Steelport, filled with the same buildings, cars, and pedestrians as SR3.
And it's only because their attempts at promoting the game suck major ass. SR4 is really just getting about just as much flak as SR3 did, I don't find there to be any reason to care much about what people think of trailers and snippets of a game that isn't released yet. When it's released everyone can actually look up reviews and youtube videos on the game and see if it actually is good or not. As long as people know it exists it's a good thing, doesn't matter if they hate on it or not.
Normally I'd be pretty hyped up for this but SR3 was such a disappointment I'm honestly finding it difficult to get excited.
Replaying SR3 right now and it's a lot of fun when I now not to expect another SR2. It was a disappointment yeah, but it's still a lot of fun so I'm pretty excited for SR4.
SR3 was great even if it had a massive lack of content and the story missions got hella boring in certain parts. Just not as good as SR2. Or even all that similar, really.
Yeah, I wanted a sequel to Saints Row 2. Maybe someday...
Maybe! For now I'll be happy with a sequel to SR3.
I'm worried that the notoriety will only be for law enforcement/aliens.
You can say it's too early, but I think I would faint if Volition remade Saints Row 1 and 2 in Saints Row: The Third's engine. The idea sounds beautiful to me, though I know it won't happen. [editline]16th May 2013[/editline] While IdolNinja's viewing the thread, I will point something out: On one of those famous Saints Row 2 mods, there were new missions with clones of Aisha and Carlos. I thought "What a bloody stupid idea. Clones in Saints Row?" And then; Saints Row: The Third happened.

I thought "What a bloody stupid idea. Clones in Saints Row?" And then; Saints Row: The Third happened.
There are a lot of weird coincidences like that. You probably never saw our posts on the official SR2 modding forum about us trying to mod in superpowers and have the character be able to eat a burger or drink a soda to be able to run fast or jump super high. Or, how the nighttime in SRTT looked eerily similar to the saturated and darker version in GotR. Or, how we tried to make the wheels invisible on the ATV and turn it into a hover bike. The list goes on... Plus, there are at least two things now in SRIV along those same lines. One of them is a fan favorite feature of GotR and the other is a failed SR2 modding experiment that we could never get to work right. EDIT: Oh, and a third thing that we only got partially working originally for SR2.
IdolNinja, did you get to have any fun with the character creator in Saints Row IV? Would you say it's improved at all, or would being under NDA prevent you from saying so?
