The only time I got hit by 3 bombs at once was when I first started it and tried to hit every tower I could. That's not how you're meant to do it. If you focus on one tower at a time, you'll only get shot at by that specific tower. That's how you're supposed to do it.
Wait, so the only towers that attack you are the ones that you have already hit?
Got to say, this game is like the foundation of the cake without the toppings and cream or otherwise. It tastes fucking good, but it certainly lacks that little extra that makes you want to make it again at another event. That little extra in this case is polish, I feel like a lot of the missions completely disregard the fact that you have super powers, blackhole guns and alien rockets. Way too many times have I been faced with awkward moments where no enemies spawn for fucking ages in a mission where I'm supposed to kill a certain amount or simply kill all of them, and to top it every other character in the mission (if there are any) are just standing there right up and down doing nothing whilst I hear dialogue from them commentating how much ass we're kicking and how awesome this is which really doesn't help the situation. There is such immense amounts of jank in this game, especially if you use the blackhole gun which drags allies and foes alike, just spassing them out and canceling whatever they're doing, fucking with the AI and scripted events. It's especially silly how they sometimes trigger dialogues for finishing a mission, and then the dialogue gets cut right off because we're sent to the mission complete screen, I mean, what? Seriously? You triggered the dialogue because the mission was done but didn't let it finish before the screen trigger sets off? It's also very annoying when, in my experience at least, Pierce in the main ship has absolutely no animations on his face, whatsoever, he's got a blank ass stare and his mouth (sometimes) moves up and down, and that's it. Absolutely emotionless. It also seriously needs more pedestrians and cars out in the streets, this has always been a problem in sandbox games, it becomes even more of a problem when you've got superpowers and are supposed to be able to wreck havoc and mass destruction but there is hardly fuck all to do that with. However, like I started off with, this cake does taste fucking good, and man will it be awesome when the official SDK comes for it, allowing us to put on as much topping as we can manage and bother with. [editline]25th August 2013[/editline]
Wait, so the only towers that attack you are the ones that you have already hit?
Balls do spawn randomly, but if you hit in the center of the targets the ball will bounce back to you, so if you send off 3 balls in rapid succession and hit in the center (the coloured area) they will all be sent back to you, and then there is also the chance of random balls coming at you as well. It's a challenge that appears harder than it is because they didn't inform us of it and it isn't really that easy to spot on your own since you aren't really looking for that.
Wait, so the only towers that attack you are the ones that you have already hit?
Yes and no. There's a chance of random bombs being thrown by towers you aren't attacking, but in my experience that's actually a really small chance. Like, maybe 1 out of every 10 bombs you throw will a random bomb be fired from an unprovoked tower. And like what the guy above me said, each tower you attack will reflect the number of bombs you hit it with back. So ideally, you want to do one bomb, and return the bomb it shoots back to sender. Just rinse and repeat with all towers.
Just completed the main story missions + loyalties. Loved every minute of it. Definitely needed a LOT of polish but an absolute giggle from start to finish. Wonder where we go [sp]now the Earth is all blown up[/sp] [sp]Someone please give me a Kinzie, 10/10 perfect match right there![/sp]
So um.. i was doing a mission when genki spawned and fucked me to the fourth hell and beyond is that normal?
So um.. i was doing a mission when genki spawned and fucked me to the fourth hell and beyond is that normal?
Define normal. The answer will be yes anyways. Rare however? Also yes.
So um.. i was doing a mission when genki spawned and fucked me to the fourth hell and beyond is that normal?
There's a mission near the finale [sp]where you run into the GenkiBowl arena and he spawns and begins to fuck up the Zin and your homies.[/sp] Is that what you're talking about?
I can't stop changing my character. Seriously I run with the same look for probably about an hour before I decide it's time to swap gender, change voices and dress completely differently again. The character customization in this is too addictive

I've been running around for the past hour just causing havoc and waiting for Wardens to show up. Their fighting style, combined with my mobility and the vertical environments, makes for some crazy-awesome battles. Also apparently regular Saints homies will teleport onto rooftops with you if you stay there for a moment, so you can set up snipers that way.

I wish we could re-view cutscenes like in SR2. I'd like to rewatch some with my character's final looks. Also, is there a way to import a character from a finished savegame when starting a new game? Or would you have to upload him or her and then import while creating your new guy?
Whoops I can't read.
This game makes me want to play Saints Row 2 again and not in a good way. I feel really conflicted, on one side it has good writing in some spots, on the other it probably has some of the most annoying game play of the series and an ending sequence weaker than the blue SR3 ending. [sp]Hey you know that character you have been using? Lets just replace that for the end of the game with some generic grey suit with "awesome" super powers.[/sp] Another issue is that the game feels more like a series homage than an actual installment. It's good that they are referencing past things that happened and fixing some of the fuck ups with SR3 but I am having difficulty thinking of a mission which wasn't in reference to a previous game.

How do I make the stats show for my main characters on the saints row stat page? I think it only shows for my latest one [editline]25th August 2013[/editline] Or maybe it's bugged completely because it says I am level 50 and I barely done any missions when I 100% all the missions
Yay, gold on every activity. 98% completion rank that'll never get any higher because the rest of these challenges are dumb I didn't even know there was a take over enemy's minds power
Yay, gold on every activity. 98% completion rank that'll never get any higher because the rest of these challenges are dumb I didn't even know there was a take over enemy's minds power
isnt it mind blast
Neat.
I don't get it.
just did benjamin loyalty mission... [sp]oh my god that strip club dance.. my lungs were completly bursted, and tanya has some...intersting..tastes[/sp]
isnt it mind blast
I don't know, for the majority of the game I didn't use anything but ice blast the rest of the powers were useless novelties
I don't get it.
The platform is on the edge of controlled and not controlled hoods. So one part is red and another is blue.
Text Adventure and Mid-game spoilers. [sp] Zinjai, was the first to enter the simulation according to the text adventure log 8. He was Zinyak's successor. I believe this person might be the AI version of CID. [/sp]
I don't know, for the majority of the game I didn't use anything but ice blast the rest of the powers were useless novelties
Everything is a novelty. You can beat the entire game with the sprint/jump powers, one type of blast and a single stock handgun. You certainly don't need to be freely switching between powers, but there's a special magic to shrink stomping a bunch of mooks, freezing another set while you stomp all over the munchkins, and then hurling an electrified rolly guy into the frozen ones. It's not hard enough to force you to do it but playing without using at least blast and TK alternating is gimping yourself.
How the fuck do you have time to catch and aim the orbs without getting blindsided by another one? And what about when there's 2-3 of them and you don't have time to catch them all? I was only able to finish it by totally upgrading my health bar.
Back up. You don't need to see every target, but you do need to have every bomb spawn in your FOV. Most people go right up onto the little lip the game indicates but if you step back you can see everything more clearly except the targets on the bottom (which can easily be handled last).

Kind of mad that [sp]Fun Shaundi[/sp] wasn't [sp]put into a CID in the real world.[/sp]
