[sp]Some guy released a "Tiny Sandbox" mod an hour ago, giving a few properties from SR3's Sandbox+ into SRIV (i.e. zombies instead of peds). Idolninja get's pissy that someone knew that he was making SRIVbox+ yet made their own anyway, then threatened the guy to stop working on Sandbox+ and have him do the rest of the work. When it comes down to it, the best mod will obviously be the victor. Whoever puts the most time and effort in will clearly receive appraisal. I don't understand the needless animosity among some modding communities. All it does is put up barriers for progress. When modders in a community come together to form a collaboration project, that's when real progress is made. Getting mad and throwing a shitfit about it doesn't do anything for anybody, it just hurts the wrong people and makes people look like dicks.

See I would have figured that the competition would have fostered better mods for the user.

"Entitlement" in this context works both ways. I'm not entitled to have a good, functional mod, and modders aren't entitled to receive appraisal if they're acting like assholes. And he never had any "real reason" to not continue working on it. [I]Obviously[/I] his mod was going to be better than this other guy's. This other guy was just making a small lite version of something that was still in the works. The only reason this moron is acting like a dick is because he feels threatened.
