Best part about this game, [sp]Johnny can't dance.[/sp] [editline]29th August 2013[/editline] Wonderful, here I am thinking the double barrel shotgun was it's own gun and instead it's just a skin for the pump action and there's only 1 skin for it...

Anything to do in SR IV after having beat every single activity?
Anything to do in SR IV after having beat every single activity?
Explore Steelport for the second time Man every highlight and favorite part of this game is the parts in the story where you aren't in steelport, its just so refreshing and exciting, then they dump you back in that fucking shitstain and I just want to rush into the next new area as soon as possible Its killed all fun and exploration in free roam mode and I'm already finished with the game
Anything to do in SR IV after having beat every single activity?
Nope, it's the same old story we know from SR3. There isn't much to do once you've completed the game.
I never knew where the basketball court was that Pierce used in the Saints Flow advert from SR3, till I found his audio log there.
Nope, it's the same old story we know from SR3. There isn't much to do once you've completed the game.
Remind me that, for some reason, some games, in this case I'm referring to GTA, have such a long term appeal for me. I can play them after I finish them, hell I still play San Andreas from time to time on my story completed savegame. And I don't even care for the activities too much. Surprisingly the same goes for GTA IV, which has next to nothing to do as for activiteis, yet it keeps me engaged. Personally I like to put games into two classes, short-term and long-term. One you just play through once, and then move on to the next one, maybe replaying it it the future, but still not constantly playing it. It does not mean the game is bad in any way. A personal example would also be Sleeping Dogs. This also may includes games that you played, thought you had a good time and then forgot. The other, long-term, makes a game that will basically be on your mind for a long time, maybe forever. You can return to it any time, and will remember it. You might even have it installed somewhere in the dusty spare place of your hard drive, just so you can play it when you get the urge, which is reoccurring and "seasonal", so to speak. Examples of this would the the above mentioned GTA IV, San Andreas, Oblivion, Morrowind or Dead Rising. I just kind of feel "at home" when playing those games. All this is just my personal observation. I'd love to know if only I feel that way, and if not then whether there are aspects in games that give them a long term or short term feel generally or those aspects differ from person to person. It's really hard to explain what I mean, that's why someone feeling similarly would be quite helpful, I guess. Oh yeah, and not every game has to fit either one of those categories. It appears to apply only for certain genres for me, although the GTA-type game genre certainly is one.
I don't really like replaying games in the first place if it isn't called Dungeon keeper or Theme Park. I only replay multiplayer games for obvious reasons. But there is nothing unusual about having games you keep wanting to go back to though, dunno what makes you wonder if others feel that way when that's completely normal? I personally don't think there is any replay value in GTA x either except for GTA 2 which is always fun to cause havoc in, the kind of havoc it's impossible to create in any modern sandbox game because they severly limit the amount of npcs and cars that go after you, and the explosion radius and effect is more realistic stopping you from doing chains of car explosions. It's actually odd that people find replay value in GTA 4 but not SR3 (4 is kind of understandable because super powers stops you from wanting to drive around and walk on the ground) when they've got much the same. The maps are just as big, all they've got to offer you is stores (sure, GTA4 has mini activities in some buildings, but they're not fun) and empty open-end buildings. The stuff you can do in GTA4 is much the same as SR3, you have most of the guns you can get in GTA, then some more in SR3, so it's sort of odd. But I guess it's just the tone of GTA4 being serious and all that makes it more fun to be a psycophatic murder because the world doesn't really encourage you to be that. Come to think of it, probably the fact that you have to run away from the police rather than wait for the notoriety to wear out makes GTA4 more fun, you have to work to stop the police from chasing you, but you have a direct means to do so, whilst in SR you have to either take a phone call stopping them then and there, or wait for it to go down as you run around getting shot at and being chased. So in GTA4 you actually loose the police, making you feel like you escaped whereas in SR they just stop attacking you and spawning at the nearest corner.

Both SR2 and 3 had a very long term effect on me I still have them both installed and come back every now and again (maybe not SR2 because its crashing on startup RIP) but my urge to play SR4 stopped shortly after doing a few activities after the story Steelwater wasn't all that fantastic in 3, I can't for the life of me figure out why they would choose to put most of our game time in there again in the sequel Being able to glide and super jump did give a new perspective and made it not as bad but that effect did ware off pretty shortly

According to the SR twitter, there was a patch a few hours ago. No idea if that fixed anything.
Hmm... I can run SRTT on all max in DX10/11 with no problem, but SR4 runs like shit with the same settings. Strange.
According to the SR twitter, there was a patch a few hours ago. No idea if that fixed anything.
I didn't get anything.
According to the SR twitter, there was a patch a few hours ago. No idea if that fixed anything.
They said it's being CHECKED for today.
P sure they said they had one but they hadn't pushed it out yet because Volition higher-ups needed to approve it. [editline]29th August 2013[/editline] damn it
my mistake

Every time one of you Gats post I read it in Johnny's voice.
96% done. Some challenges left. Run 250k miles. Uhhh..nope.
The last mission made me want to watch Transformer's 1987 version again.
96% done. Some challenges left. Run 250k miles. Uhhh..nope.
How have you not run 250k miles naturally throughout the game?
96% done. Some challenges left. Run 250k miles. Uhhh..nope.
Super Sprint is extremely fun once you unlock the Tornado upgrade.
So I'm a little confused, are [sp]The boss and his crew the only humans left? It made it seem like there were thousands of humans in stasis on Zynak's ship, though.[/sp]
