I have been playing Saints Row IV for the past week, and I have to say I really really enjoyed it more then the 3rd game. The only thing I hated about it was the side missions got really repetitive.

About to do the final mission. Does it matter who I select for my team for various endings? I've already done everyones loyalty mission thing.

I always loved the way they implemented music in different missions throughout the game. It always makes me determined to complete the objective. c:
About to do the final mission. Does it matter who I select for my team for various endings? I always brought along [sp]Asha and Matt for the first part, Pierce and Shaundi for the second part, and Johnny and Ben King for the last part[/sp]
Man I can't wait for the sandbox+ mod to come out so I can go back to all the cool places from main missions.
I always brought along [sp]Asha and Matt for the first part, Pierce and Shaundi for the second part, and Johnny and Ben King for the last part[/sp]
I did the same thing.
I think the reason why Stilwater is more likeable than Steelport is because the entire game took place there. There's so much to do and to see that it made for a great location for the story to take place in. Saints Row 3/4 have a lot more set pieces for missions, so it ends up leaving Steelport feeling shallow and uninteresting. They did a much better job with Steelport this time, but it still doesn't grab my attention enough to explore and check out every location. Stilwater had much more variety in both locales and citizens. I often found myself just watching random pedestrians either fulfilling different duties or fighting each other because one punched another trying to go after me. The citizens of Steelport still feel like basic NPCs that aren't gang members/cops/aliens.
Finally beat the game. [sp]The finale was an amazing mission. It really felt like one, and even had the proper leadup to it unlike SR3 which went "lol hey it's the end now". Plus fucking Paul saving the day was by far one of the best things I've seen in a long time. The final boss fight was a complete blast. After the disappointment Kia/Killbane/Cyrus brought, this was a much welcome change. It was hard, it had multiple stages, it even had good taunts. It FELT like a bossfight which is something that's seemingly hard to come by these days. And as for the actual story itself, I have to say it was a lot better than I expected. I mean, I knew about it going in for the most part, but it turned out to be a lot better than people made it out to be. I thought Earth being blown up would ruin it for me, but it didn't. The story was actually really good, not fantastic, but good. And compared to SR3, that's a very welcome change.[/sp] Look forward to any and all story DLC.
Will this still get me achievements? I forgot to ask.
Does anyone else know?
is it me or is the distance traveled in alien vehicles challenge take really long to get?
[sp]How do I save vehicles? I know you can without Rim Jobs[/sp] [editline]2nd September 2013[/editline]
[sp]You can 'download' cars in the mission where you save Kinzie from Cyrus iirc. Or you can just use idolninja's extra cheats mod, all 50s car can be unlocked using it and you won't be flagged.[/sp]
[sp]Talking about this (Downloading Cars), also is that mission at the start? I don't remember saving Kinzie from Cyrus, except the world. Plus I didn't have an option to download the cars in the mission since I didn't have it[/sp]
Just press the 'N' key when you're in a car, and it saves it quickly.
[sp]How do I save vehicles? I know you can without Rim Jobs[/sp]
Hold N on the PC version. Not sure about consoles. How the fuck do you get the Stun Gun? I'm playing the PS3 version and I heard something about an update glitching it out of friendly fire, which is super irritating
[sp]There's a SR1 version of Ben King in the game files. I made that replace his super suit.[/sp]
How do I do this for myself?
Hold N on the PC version. Not sure about consoles.
