I'd buy it.
Somebody make a mod that allows ammo and money be affected by the health vacuum perk. I want it to automatically collect all that shit. Because when I am out of ammo and there are weapons scattered everywhere around I feel like an idiot.
How long does the cache bar take to fill?

Just rush for the ammo upgrades.
am i the only one who is really disappointed in this game?
after playing for awhile and playing all the reskinned activities from sr3, i already feel like i've done everything besides the story
Yeah I'm feeling that too
Once I finished the story all that was left to do is collect shit and play reskinned activities from 3
Getting bored shortly after the story is really shitty for a open world game, in most sandbox games you don't even need to play the story to have a good time
I fucking hated Steelport in SR3, playing in it again is just a dick move
Guys, is it even possible to lower the bridge once I completed the story in SRTT?
Super jumps with bikes are almost impossible for me.

So I just beat SR4 and here are my thoughts. (SPOILERS, ENDING SPOILERS TO BE SPECIFIC)
[sp]Wasn't worth the 60 bucks, 30 would of been fine. They could of just implented all of this into SR3, maybe cut it down. Side Missions only made it longer, and half of the time they were the same fucking thing, if you just played the main missions, would of took around 15 hours to beat. The ending was shit to be honest, "Going back in time" was a terrible idea, Zinyak would still come to take over the world, and they still have them old selves there so they can't go back to Stilwater or Steelport unless it was before the Saints arrived.
But behind all that I did enjoy some parts.
The loyalty missions are great fun (My favourite one is Shaundi's, dunno why that got removed, it was tame tbh), the Saints Row 1 menu was a great addition, hopefully that means we get a prequel, remake or a port of SR1, it was great seeing the old characters.
The 1950 missions were great though, my favourite ones actually.[/sp]
Also I saw this on my mini-map. [sp]Near Johnny's Audiolog and Zinyak's Statue[/sp]

Reminds me of Australia.
I'm a bit disappointed in the open world content but I really enjoyed the story, and I think it was worth the money I paid for it.

This seems to be the general consensus of the game. Good fun, but not worth being its own title. Funnily enough, when I posted this exact same opinion before the game was released, I was swamped in boxes.
One thing this game really let me down with was the missions. Any mission that took your super powers away, more specifically. Stuff like Ashas loyalty and getting Pierce, they were the very definition of monotonous and can hardly be considered gameplay. Other than that though, I enjoyed the experience.
Don't know if it's just on PS3, but has anyone else noticed that the weapon costumes you get for completing quests are already unlocked at the start of the game so you don't really unlock anything for doing them?

Is the general consensus of the game the general consensus you find and single out in your mind because you agree with it?
I see a very 50/50 split between people not liking it and people absolutely loving it.
I mostly see people loving it. I'm one of those people.
Honestly I feel like it really should have been better. With more time, it could have been amazing. As it stands, it's just really fun, which I think is still good enough.
Whats the easiest way to do the speed rift to get gold?
Yeah, this game is super polarizing. Half of it I like, half of it I really don't like.
But the stuff I like I absolutely adore it.
I just started a new game and turned off superpowers except for parts where you can't progress without them.
It feels so cool, different and challenging. I love it.
CID best fucking character 2013
Got gold in all activities first try apart from 2 speed rifts.

Not at all, if you take the time to look at other gaming communities opinions rather than just the facepunch thread (and try looking at some of the criticisms as well, not just threads/forums devoted to saints row) I think you'll find that theres quite an overwhelming opinion that this should have stayed DLC.
I think the only way this could have been DLC is if it had been cut down a lot more. And I certainly wouldn't want that.

This has obviously had a lot more development put into it since it was merged with Saints Row 4, however that doesn't help the fact that if they had not done that, this entire premise as a whole (steelport as a map again, nearly no new activities, ect ect) would have been more well received had they not rushed it out to try and compete with GTA V.
Steelport did get a bit of a rework, just not as drastic as SR1>SR2.
The buildings have been reworked to behave more vertically. Still wish we could go back to Stillwater though.

To say the least I'm just disappointed with 4
You are completely correct, its fun but this is not worth buying at full price, unless you are okay with lazy copy paste and reskins
I came buckets for SR2 and 3 but this was just heavily disappointing, this game feels so rushed, unfinished, buggy and unpolished
I could forgive all that if they made a new fucking map, all throughout playing the game I just wanted to rush the campaign so I could leave the map and go somewhere different for 10 minutes
A completely new map with SOME steelport simulated areas would have saved the game entirely for me, Volition really needed more time with this game.
...back to Stillwater though.
oh my fucking god the speed rifts are the worst
oh my fucking god the speed rifts are the worst
I liked them. They were my favorite rift, actually. I loathed the TK rifts.
I hate tank mayhem
I hate tank mayhem
I didn't really like any of the mayhem activities in IV besides mech mayhem. I wish there was "super power mayhem" rather than exclusively TK and exclusively stomp mayhems.
TK and UFO Mayhem were so easy. For TK Mayhem, I just grabbed one of those ball things and super sprinted through everything while the ball acted as a battering ram.
stomp mayhem
more like running tornado mayhem
