except he was biased everyone is biased about everything his reaction to the game would probably be a bit different if volition said "fuck you and fuck modding"
/sarcasm
does the new DLC come with the season pass?
There are only two dlcs in the season pass. Enter the Dominatrix, which is like a directors cut of SR4, and a yet to be announced dlc.
Honestly, the idea of a "director's cut" of SR4 appeals to me a lot.
Anyone got a video of the new Dubstep guns?
Can you still do [sp]Keith david missions after you discover hes a traitor(pls no spoilers just yes or no[/sp]
Can you still do [sp]Keith david missions after you discover hes a traitor(pls no spoilers just yes or no[/sp]
Yes.
If any of you are on the fence about getting the Dubstep (Remix) Pack, I recommend it.
Could someone post a video of them using the new songs so I could at least hear them?
Not at all, if you take the time to look at other gaming communities opinions rather than just the facepunch thread (and try looking at some of the criticisms as well, not just threads/forums devoted to saints row) I think you'll find that theres quite an overwhelming opinion that this should have stayed DLC.
I'm not sure I've ever seen a DLC before where the DLC contains more content than the base game. Also, I'm still of the opinion that if nobody knew that Enter the Dominatrix was originally going to be DLC, nobody would be complaining that it would have been better as a DLC. It probably would have been received exactly like literally every sequel made these days. As an aside, I like the collectables this time around. In 3, you had money, drugs, and swz doll collectables. All three only gave you a bit of money and respect. In 4 you get tons of goodies. You get audio logs and text adventures for some insight and back story into each character. You get clusters for power upgrades. The only one that isn't so great is destroying the Zinyak statues but even then it's kind of fun in a way to stick it to the evil overlord like that. Also I found the final confrontation to be underwhelming. We have this super smart bad guy but it turns into standard affair very rapidly. It was very predictable. That said I spent 33 hours in the game to beat it and I enjoyed every minute. That's more than could be said of most games these days. I got my money's worth. [editline]3rd September 2013[/editline]
If any of you are on the fence about getting the Dubstep (Remix) Pack, I recommend it.
Personally I never used the gun apart from the time when the mission made me. I always found it to be a gimmick even when I got it and opted for alternate weapons instead.
to be honest, I kinda miss the goofy parody of gang culture
You need to spoiler tag your shit about [sp]time travel.[/sp] But yeah Zinyak [sp]blowing up earth[/sp] is what really motivated them. If they [sp]went back in time and stopped that from happening[/sp] then them becoming motivated [sp]would have never happened.[/sp] [sp]It's a paradox.[/sp]
This game has about ten billion plot holes, that being among the least. Usually this stuff bothers me immensely but for some reason I just don't care for this game. I think as a whole that this game had a much more satisfying and deeper story than 3 did. I mean it won't be winning and Pulitzer prizes any time soon, and is still really cheap compared with the other big stories in games these days, but it was a step up from 3 in a big way.
Not sure if I would call [sp]the whole time travel[/sp] thing a plothole. It's never really expanded on, so quite frankly, they could go any route with it. Nearly every piece of pop culture I've seen that has [sp]time travel (BTTF, Dr. Who, Looper etc.)[/sp] has their own variation on it. The writers can do whatever the hell they want since there's not really any wrong way to go about it.
I wonder when someone is going to release a playlist of all of the stores' songs. I have the song where you create your character for the first time stuck in my head. It was like a remix of an American anthem.
If[sp]SR5 is made, and the time travel plot is used, the gang culture can be revisited because the Saints can visit their past selves.[/sp]
[sp]time clones ahoy![/sp]
Does the protagonist have a canon gender?
Does the protagonist have a canon gender?
S/he/it's whoever/whatever you want to him/her/it be
Still holding out for a Saints Row 1/2 remake combo
no but technically, it would be male, as it is the default for 1 and 2 (and you can only be male in 1)
Even for SR1 Volition has said their gender was whatever you played as in SR2 (So if you're a woman in SR2 The Boss was a woman in SR1 even though the technical limitations meant you couldn't)
no but technically, it would be male, as it is the default for 1 and 2 (and you can only be male in 1)
Technically male, but Volition said once that "If you choose female in 2, then it's retconned that you were a female in 1."
In the [sp]save Matt mission[/sp] the protagonist is [sp]shown their past self on a bunch of screens. It's the default black guy in SR2 and the default white guy in SRTT.[/sp]
Too bad so many lines referring to you use male pronouns.
I'm tempted to buy SR2. But I heard bad things about the PC port. Is it worth it, having played the 3rd and 4th recently?
I'm tempted to buy SR2. But I heard bad things about the PC port. Is it worth it, having played the 3rd and 4th recently?
SR2 is the best Saints Row imo. I have it on steam and besides some glitches, it runs fine for me.
Too bad so many lines referring to you use male pronouns.
They were careful to avoid that in Zero Saints Thirty. [sp]"The Boss is sacrificing themself to save us all!"[/sp]
I really hope it eventually becomes possible to make missions.
Guys at Volition said they want to eventually add support for new missions, so expect that eventually.
There are only two dlcs in the season pass. Enter the Dominatrix, which is like a directors cut of SR4, and a yet to be announced dlc.
the 2nd mission pack is Saints Save Christmas.
I hope it's more than 3 missions.
I hope it's more than 3 missions.
Yeah, same for Dominatrix.
Ending spoilers [sp]So with time travel, what if Keith David is sent back and is actually Julius? The voice, the way they both act, they are basically the same person, heck everyone says it on the ship even[/sp]
