I wonder if it will be possible to replace the Boss' voice when the mod tools are released. :v: I want Microsoft Sam as a voice option.
Definitely possible. Just really god damn time consuming.
Can I have a long, pointless fight scene with Keith David while wearing the Roddy Piper outfit?
Have you tried the mod called gentlemen of the row? it has alot of fixes and tweaks + other addons.
Didn't fix shit for me.
If there's one major complaint I have, it's that Steelport's ability to entertain still feels like it's on life support. Watch Saints Row 5 be a linear third-person shooter.

Watch Saints Row 5 be a linear third-person shooter.
they'd never do that and if you seriously think they would, you're an idiot saints row is an open world sandbox game, and volition knows that i agree that steelport is boring but volition isn't going to completely change the genre of the series because of that
quick question does anyone else get a ctd when trying to do the rift race? the one where u collect the data bits or w/e as u go along in tunnels n whatnot, kind of sonic-like. for some reason i can't play those events at all, but the rest of the game goes no problem. also i have the game on low settings and it still doesn't help.
So I just got SRIV. Is there anything I can do at all to stop this ridiculous fps? I mean it's not unplayable, it's the same I got in SRIII, but something to really stop it would be nice. I have everything on low, steam community ingame off, and it's on windowed mode.
that'd be a lot of lines to replace
But luckily you already have the subtitles, no need to type out any lines.
Didn't stop Red Faction V:v:V
Red Faction went from FPS, to open world third person shooter sandbox, to linear third person shooter.
Anyone else dissapointed with the "side quests"? They're literally just go here and do X activity or Y gameplay thing.
Anyone else dissapointed with the "side quests"? They're literally just go here and do X activity or Y gameplay thing.
I feel like the side quests were something that Volition put in near the end. My guess is that they ran out of time, so they just went with this really lazy approach. Also, I get this feeling because the side missions sometimes give you totally unbalanced rewards. You get the dubstep gun hours before it's first introduced, and you get unlimited sprint before you even get most of the sprint upgrades.
Playing on 360. Started the game up today and my save is corrupted. Whyyyyyyy
This game really needs more primary quests. Like seriously they couldn't make more generic missions? At least give zinyak some lieutenants or something.
Anyone else dissapointed with the "side quests"? They're literally just go here and do X activity or Y gameplay thing.
It's probably better to think of them as rewards for certain bundles of activities and stuff rather than actual sidequests.
This game really needs more primary quests. Like seriously they couldn't make more generic missions? At least give zinyak some lieutenants or something.
The side missions should have just been the loyalty missions and unique missions for getting certain powers. I don't like how I having to tediously do specific combinations of activities just to get all of my abilities.
i also hate how the side missions encourage you to do everything before you finish the game, so that when it then gives you the endgame rewards, there's fucking nothing to do because you already did it all and if you DON'T do it before endgame you spend most of the game missing out on the cool rewards for doing them each side mission should have been a few tasks shorter so that when the game is over, you can still have all the side mission rewards but potentially have more shit to do at endgame
I think the sidemissions should have been left out of the requirements for getting the good ending.
When you guys say side missions, are we including the ones that are purely activity based, because I don't think they're required for the good ending, are they?
When you guys say side missions, are we including the ones that are purely activity based, because I don't think they're required for the good ending, are they?
I believe you have to complete every loyalty mission and sidequest in order to get it.
I believe you have to complete every loyalty mission and sidequest in order to get it.
Nope, just the loyalty missions.
Well that's good news :v:

It has actual tips written in on how to improve performance.
I hacked all the stores and did all the side activities in the beginning of the game :v:
I think the next Saints Row should be, like, a spinoff where you control STAG before they had laser weaponry and VTOLs. The Boss would be the leader of some STAG detachment sent to help out the cops in a completely new city overrun by, you guessed it, 3 gangs. It would actually be something new since open-world military TPS sandbox games are pretty much nonexistent. The only thing even remotely close was Mercenaries and Mercenaries 2 which were definitely the most fun i've ever had in a non-GTA game but sadly, that series is dead as fuck. I mean come on, Saints Row IV has a fucking superpowered President kicking alien ass, so you can't really say a STAG spinoff would be "not Saints Row enough" It would also be a good chance for Volition to take some cheap shots at the brown and grey mass of boring overdone military FPS crap.
Its absolutely great seeing [sp] Julius talking with all the other homies and even previous gang members [/sp]
theory: [sp]what if the dead homies in sr4 (julius, tanya, maero, etc) arent actually AI recreations but are instead the actual person connected to the simulation, because zinyak traveled back in time and snatched them up[/sp]

Something else I noticed [sp] When rescuing Gat, Zinyak mentions that he is prisoner number 2. So who is prisoner number 1? [/sp]
