I was messing around in Steelport when I found that grocery :

What is this place for ? You don't even go there during any mission or cutscene and it's not a shop so why is it here ?
That's quite stupid I know but it feels so weird to discover that random enterable place when all others are cribs, shops or story related.
I'm pretty sure that this place was used in a cutscene. It was the [sp]Nightblade one when the Boss sees his comic book.[/sp] I had no idea you could enter it.

Touché. It's the same place :

The weird thing is that during the mission, the 'comic shop' (which is in fact the grocery) is here :

But the grocery I found is here :

Why did they set it up to two different locations ?
Is there a SRTT-like coop mode in SR2, as in free roam?
Yes.
So this guy is the DJ of some radio station in SR4 (although his wording is weird as if he were DJing the whole game). Anyone know who he is?
Best DJs in SR4 are a tie between [sp]Jane Valderama on K12 introducing songs and reporting on things like "what is dubstep"[/sp], and [sp]Zinyak on Klassic talking about/playing opera/classical, reading excerpts from Pride and Prejudice and acting out all the parts, and being just all around awesome. He intros Bach's Tocatto and Fugue in D-Minor and threatens to destroy any human who he hears referring to it as (*snide tone) the "Dracula" song.

Hes a rapper and hes actually really good in a weird sort of way. I recommend checking him out man.
oh, the reused assets from SR2 in SRTT
like one of the demo derby music is the BSDM club ambience
and 2 of the club ambiences are mission completion musics
i noticed them instantly i heard them the first time
i know someone is going to rate me late
SR1 and SR2 have a million of reused assets. Hell some of the cars have been reused since the first. The crates and barrels are especially noticeable.

Also, something is happening on Monday. The saintsrow.com site will be down for a few hours because Zinyak has infiltrated the site. Possible tease for something? Maybe Inauguration Station?
Check the Main Menu's ticker in SR3.

One more thing:
Replaying Saints Row 1 made me realize how smart of an idea it was to reduce the number of activity levels from 8 per activity to simply 6 instances total. Going through a single activity from start to finish (in my case, Demo Derby, Mayhem, Escort, and Snatch) can take up to a whole half hour to complete! And it doesn't help when you lose the activity that there is no retry option. Instead, you have to go all the way back to the activity and try again! (fixed in SR2 of course). It's also interesting to see activities that never made the cut. For example, HiJacking, which was basically a more straight forward Chop Shop, and Theft, where you'd break into a store, take the goods from a safe, and deliver it to a pawn shop. I wish Volition would have kept the Thefting activity in SR2. Not only did I love running into stores during the day and cracking open every safe in the city, but I also loved running in at night and stealing goods. Another activity (although I wouldn't call it one like the game does) that caught my eye was Loan Shark, where a guy would give you a loan and you'd have to pay it back. Refusing to pay the loan back would send two guys after you and they'd try to kill you. The cache is that you can't kill them. I guess it's interesting if you really need the money, but then again, money isn't ever short in Saints Row.
In many ways, I feel like Saints Row 1 looked much nicer than Saints Row 2. For a game originally developed for the PS2, the colors in SR1 were much more vibrant and alive than they were in SR2. Not to mention the fact that the players face actually looked good. Yeah, Saints Row 2 had better graphics, but the lighting was so dull and fucking boring that SR1 looks much better.
Another thing I liked about SR1 is that it actually feels part of a world. What I mean by that is that there is the big mountain area blocking you off from whatever is behind it. This makes it feel like there is a world behind that big hill. However, in SR2 and 3, you're stuck on a huge island that makes absolutely no sense with (in 2) a faint landscape in the very far distance.
Clothing options were also really nice. There weren't many articles of clothing I absolutely hated. I also really like the game forcing you to change clothing so often. The game pressures you to spend a lot of money to buy new clothes every few days, and I think that's neat. What I also like is how expensive guns are. Buying pistol ammo in SR2 costs $22. In 1 (and maybe 2, I'm not sure), you have to buy the cost of the weapon for ammo. While I think it's a bit outrageous at times ($2,500 for AR ammo), I think it's great that the game forces a budget on your player.
Of course, just because there is a lot of good doesn't mean there is a lot of bad. The gunplay is fun but repetitive. And if you did many side activities before doing missions, you could afford an assault rifle and you're basically the most OP gang banger in the world. I'm glad they removed the ghetto gun sideways crap because that just looks and feels dumb. Getting killed can be a huge surprise to the player because the game does not indicate visually that you are nearing death. It does warn you audibly, however it is so faint compared to the loud guns of ten gang bangers that you're unable to actually hear it. I've died many times out of the thin blue because there's no warning. This is also frustrating because there is no checkpoint system. You failed a mission? Too bad, start it over again. And while I am on missions, I have to say that so far (Rollerz and a few Carnales missions), the missions are completely uninspired. While the gang storylines are incredible short, doing the Rollerz missions felt like a chore. I had to drive to one place and destroy moving vehicles (which was a pain in the ass). The thing I appreciated about SR2 and 3 was that there were always tense and dramatic moments in-between missions during cutscenes. This was completely lacking in SR1. While I don't mind cutscenes showing the business of the gang, they get old when EVERY cutscene is the same thing. I'm hoping this changes with the Carnales and Vice Kings storylines.
One thing I feel like SR3 got right was the mostly linear storyline. It doesn't make sense when, after taking over the oldest drug cartel in Stilwater and the biggest racing gang, you're still considered a petty gang from the Row. Plus, it forces characters not to ever appear in the other gang storylines. You would NEVER see Lin ever if you decided to pursue the Kings and Carnales first. You never saw Carlos if you did the Sons and Ronin. Plus the Brotherhood still feel the need to fuck you over after you've destroyed 5 gangs in total (3 in 1, 2 in 2).
One thing I miss however is the food. Food didn't feel necessary as much in SR2 as it did in SR1. SR1 could be considered a game that doesn't have regenerating health because it regenerates SO slowly, which forces you to spend $150 on a burger at a fast food joint to replenish lost health. I absolutely love this idea. It actually forces you to plan and prepare before you go in.
All in all, SR1 was an okay game. However, despite the huge content overhaul in SR2, they still missed many golden opportunities to bring some things back. Food wasn't as relevant (though still very handy). The world (surprisingly) wasn't as alive as it was in SR1. Where were the train stations and the, "Train 7 will be departing in 25 minutes" belting out from above. Where were the bridges that lifted when boats went under? Where was civilization outside of Stilwater? Where did my Theft activity go? Cracking a safe was much more entertaining than aiming your gun at the owner and having them do it for you. If SR2 reapplied many of the elements SR1 had, it would be an even more amazing and lively game.
Oh, and the SR1 radio sucked fat balls. Nothing beats SR2's All the great hits of the 80s, without the leg warmers. 107.77: The Mix. No doubt that is the best radio station of all games, ever. Every song was worth listening to.

One thing I'm worried about is super speed. In Saints Row 3 with mods, I've occasionally gone so fast in certain vehicles that I could outpace the level loading, causing glitches and weirdness. And super speed looks way faster than any vehicle Saints Row 3 had to offer.

Super sprint is much much faster than SRTT when fully upgraded. There are zero problems with level loading though. It's totally fluid and amazing.
I'm wondering what the polls looked like.

Little theory time:
Does anyone else think that between Saints 2 and 3, when they became celebrities, the crew backed off on killing and wrecking havoc?
During the bank heist, Johnny exclaims, "I haven't had this much fun in years!"
During combat, Pierce occasionally shouts, "Just like old times!"
Does anyone else think that they quit being involved in large gunfights for a good number of years, based on what Johnny says?
It's weird seeing Ben in purple.

Not sure if this has been asked before, but can I use the Character I made in Saints Row 3 on Saints Row 4? Or do I have to start from scratch? (Well not scratch since I have the numbers for my current)

Yep, you can use the same character.
Unless said character had the zombie voice, the Russian lady, or the black girl voice (Don't know about the legitimacy of that one), in which you'll have to change your voice.
I never got to play SR2 and went straight to SR3 from SR1 demo. I just watched all the cutscenes from SR2 and I was surprised at how much I liked that Shaundi. I'm not really a fan of her in SR3, but she was pretty cool in SR2.
[sp]I hate to say it but despite the dreads, she was really attractive too.[/sp]
I hope the Initiation Station works on my computer.
SR3 works fine (a bit of lag, I have to use low settings, but it runs) however for some reason I never got the Initiation Station to work (the Boss would just be a silhouette).

I had the same problem, I disabled forced Anisotropic filtering on my GPU control panel and it fixed it.
I found the Initiation Station to best the best way of making your character to then import into Saints Row 3, most of the clothing in the Initiation Station was the better stuff, and you didn't have to pay ingame money for it either, so it was best making your character there and then importing it, saving you like, $10 ingame...

and you wouldnt have to go dicking around in the different shops searching for that one piece of clothing you missed
I was thinking of getting SR4 for the PC rather than the XBOX, to take advantage of the upcoming mod support. How easy is it to install mods for SR3, and were there any stability concerns?

it was really quick and easy to install and uninstall mods for sr3, I used a bunch
there might be some if the mod goes super crazy, but other than that, nope, its not like skyrim or something so it wont just crash randomly(plus maybe mod tools will open up a possible mod manager?)

Not a "real" mod manager but a while ago I made a simple mod installer+backup tool thing
It just copies the mod files to the saints row folder and backs up the original vpp packfiles but I found it pretty useful (mostly because I always forget to backup the original vpp's)
