It's sad that there'll only be one main faction, though I must admit that they were all pretty similar in SR3, and I have never played SR2 so I can't really compare. (maybe once the modding community gets a hang of modding SR2, you can make the game more playable?)

The syndicate was the same because well, they were the syndicate. One group. The Samedi Brotherhood and Ronin were all different gangs, i don't actually think they ever interacted with each other.
They never did probably because of the branching storyline. If they did, it would've caused plotholes.
Be wary. The activities get tedious and the music sucks. There are also no checkpoints so don't fuck a mission up. There's not much to the game but it's good to get familiarized with some of it.
The no checkpoints thing made the game more fun. You had to use a strategy to win. Unless of course you're doing the vehicle missions. Then you're winning is solely based on luck.

Already pre-ordered the SUPER DANGEROUS WUB WUB EDITION. Now the wait begins.. So gruelling. [editline]8th July 2013[/editline]
yeah but you gotta be bulky as fuck in case Armstrong comes for you
I get this reference! "Don't fuck with this Senator"
If it doesn't have the same firing sounds however, it might aswell not be in.
The pulse rifle skin does have that sound fx. It's not a 100% perfect match, but close enough. Also, many of the skins change audio and firing fx when you use them.
While I'm thinking about it; Idolninja, what's the point of getting into a car if not only can you run faster than them, but also have the radio on without them? I honestly see no point in using a car with the given information we have.
Vehicles are not useless at all. There are some awesome ones and I use them a lot while just messing around and enjoying the open world. When I have something to do like start a mission or get to an activity then yeah, I use super powers to get there faster. At first I was always using powers all the time because they were new and interesting. Now though after 30 hours, it's probably about 75/25. Also, the unique vehicle rewards for doing chop shop are absolutely killer. I could never let them collect dust in my garage.

I'm glad it isn't necessary to use vehicles, otherwise it wouldn't be as fun. Thanks for answering!
They never did probably because of the branching storyline. If they did, it would've caused plotholes.
That's what I think Saints Row 3 did right, in my opinion. Yeah, you had the three separate storylines, but none of them were connected. Playing through Saints Row 1 right now, I wish Johnny would appear sometimes during the Rollerz and Carnales missions. Yeah, it's more linear. However I think the better connection between all the characters makes up for it. However SR3 did it poorly by having a poor set of enemy characters.

[editline]8th July 2013[/editline] I wonder how Volition are going to touch up the Anal Probe weapons for the Australian release. I hope it's just as funny as giving the Penetrator a stiffy for the Japanese version. :v:
On r/SaintsRow there's an AMA with someone who played the first 7 missions of SRIV. I have to admit, the more stuff I hear about the game the more I get excited. I just wish they did this when they first revealed/started marketing it. [sp]unless this whole bait and switch was all a part of their plan O_O[/sp]

With the Penetrator in the Japanese version, it was as simple as "Jigglebones 0."

The President: No, you do. You're the Communications Director. Fix this.
what do you have to do to get 100% in sr3? ive done every activity, diversion, taken over every hood, unlocked every weapon, and bought every area
saintsbook things count iirc, as do all the collectibles like money pallets, drug drops, sex dolls, and photo ops
Collectable items count, Saints Book does not count.
Are the vehicles different in function/handling, or just appearance, or are they all just different?
They are as different as they have been in previous games.
They are as different as they have been in previous games.
Do they all still handle like icecubes on a waxed marble floor?
They are as different as they have been in previous games.
is there any confirmation that whored mode is coming back?I havent heard it mentioned
is there any confirmation that whored mode is coming back?I havent heard it mentioned
They said it wouldn't.
They are as different as they have been in previous games.
Is this good or bad?
Is it me or are the audio levels in Saints Row 3 kind of ass? Even at 100%, they feel very soft.
They said it wouldn't.
And thank fuck for that.
Is this good or bad?
I never understood the point of it. It doesn't even have customization, the main feature of SR!
And thank fuck for that.
Why?
aw, I loved whored mode :c
Playing Whored mode was worth it for one thing. "Frank East. He's covered wars you know."
The whored mode should have been an activity imo.
