The only problem was that they were cut off from escaping by the Syndicate. They were on their way back to Stilwater when the Luchadores destroyed the bridge and ruined Johnny's funeral, so they took it personally and decided that they were going to take it up a notch and destroyed the rest of the Syndicate.

I'll be curious to see if and/or how Gat slipped under STAG's radar. It may have been as simple as [i]everyone[/i] thinking he was dead, or maybe I was right and [sp]Loren sold Gat to the Zin[/sp], but I'm sure Gat + Stag = bigger battle than 3-Way.

I remember seeing people say they wanted Gat to join the Syndicate because the Saints "abandoned him" and that they "lost touch with who they are." It's silly, because it has no regard to the fact that Gat was sacrificing himself to ensure that they could escape safely, and the fact that Gat would never join the people who fucked with his friends.

Wasn't that one of the scrapped ideas for the plot?

After watching Lost for the first time last year then finding out yesturday that DDK voices Gat, I hear Gats voice and it still baffles me haha.

I'm guessing by the trailer that Gat isn't part of the simulation. Probably cloning, or he never died in SRTT.
