It'd be fucking hype if there's a chapter where you play as Gat to show how he got to where he was.
So pumped that Gat is back! I wonder how they'll explain what happened to him, because I knew he couldn't have died. It was weird that he was killed off early in SRTT.

"Fuck yes" is a major understatement. [editline]17th July 2013[/editline] Also, old shaundi in this trailer.

I don't want Gat as a side character, I want him as the main character. Get with the times Saints Row, it isn't about the Protagonist, it is about Johnny. [editline]17th July 2013[/editline]
[thumb]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BPTo84pCUAAJAu-.jpg[/thumb] Source, their official Twitter acc: https://twitter.com/SaintsRow/status/357166403159216128
That Gat looks like the person from the picture on the store page, until they replaced him with the actual Gat.
It's amusing how any inconsistencies with character models can be hand waved by mentioning Image As Designed
Stopped by Gamestop today, they had one used copy of SR1 left and I couldn't resist. This'll be interesting.
It's surreal hearing that voice again. I'm glad that I get to.
Maybe Gat was the first contact, took him to understand how Humans are. Would explain why he's not around for SRIII.
Anyone else think SRTT and SRIV's Gat looks a little chunky? Best picture I could to demonstrate this only shows his back. His shoulders are so low his torso is almost a square. [t]http://www.hookedgamers.com/images/2310/saints_row_the_third/screenshot_x360_saints_row_the_third016.jpg[/t] I think his appearance in Saints Row 2 was far more badass, the epitome of Johnny Gat. Jacket is baggier than that shirt, I guess.
It'd be fucking hype if there's a chapter where you play as Gat to show how he got to where he was.
A lot of the Gat stuff from the trailer didn't seem like homie stuff, such as certain moves and such, i'm assuming there will be a playable portion as him. As for the how then i think it would be a nice explanation, of course they could handwave it with a simple. "Johnny we thought you were dead?" "Nah"

Too much of a comfortable celebrity lifestyle can do that you know.
In the trailer, skip to 00:53 Gat beating up a Syndicate guy. Looks like we'll see what happened after all.
Oh my, good find. Looks like he did manage to fight his way out of the plane.

It's been about The Protagonist since the first game, I know Gat is awesome and all but, no, just no.
The entire time I was watching the new trailer I had a :D face. This is gonna be epic. EDIT: Hey, can no one else access the uploads and stats section on the Saints Row website? I wanted to get my screenshots that I took recently, but I can't click on their tabs.
I remember seeing people say they wanted Gat to join the Syndicate because the Saints "abandoned him" and that they "lost touch with who they are." It's silly, because it has no regard to the fact that Gat was sacrificing himself to ensure that they could escape safely, and the fact that Gat would never join the people who fucked with his friends.
Maybe if that plot-line wound up happening the entire story would have played out differently, including the whole plane sequence. [editline]17th July 2013[/editline] With Gat being as badass as he is, why does he unquestionably follow the boss anyway? It never really sat with me well that a guy as take-charge as Gat was comfortable with not being on top.

But then I remembered that the boss isn't exactly the greatest mind in the known universe either, so that point is kind of moot.
Considering who the Saints are and what they started off as, I think it's safe to say Kinzie and Oleg are the smartest members.
Considering who the Saints are and what they started off as, I think it's safe to say Kinzie and Oleg are the smartest members.
but what about pierce
What the fuck are you smoking? Like, "Damn Johnny, you weren't lying when you said you had a 9 inch cock."
but what about pierce
I always found it interesting how they implied that Pierce was actually beating Oleg in their chess match. Gat fits more as the butcher of the crew. It's like the cliché crews in movies. Kinzie is the nerd, Shaundi is the pretty girl, Gat is the brute, the protagonist is the boss and Pierce is the black guy.
You guys are forgetting the most important question. Who will win the chess game?
You guys are forgetting the most important question. Who will win the chess game?
It will be a draw.
I don't know, it might be an asskicking equals authority type thing. I think that the boss is a better fighter than Gat; that's not to say that Gat can't hold his own either. Gat seems more like the underboss, with Pierce, Shaund, Kinzie, Viola, Zimos, and Angel as the capos (If anything, Pierce would be the consigliere, being promoted to underboss after Gat's "death.") The brute would be Oleg because I think he's officially the Saints' enforcer by the end of the game, similar to how you were the enforcer in the first game.
