I can imagine Johnny Gat, Zombie Gat and Johnny Tag all sat around a table discussing life. [sp]and death i suppose[/sp]
The fate of the human race will be determined over a game of chess. Oleg and Pierce duke it out over who gets to play against Zinyak but we all know Oleg is the more reliable one.
Imagine having to play chess against a dynamic Zinyak and Oleg and Pierce shout out advice while inching ever closer to death and the boss ends up going "fuck this, checkmate." and one-two punches zinyak to death.
I remember seeing on the internet a mod for SR3 that allows the player to teleport at some extra places like the usernet, the nuclear plant or mars during freeroam. It also allows you to set different atmospheres to the city like the reddish fog from mars etc.
Anyone knows where could I find it ? I thought it was included in GOS but I didn't find it.
Is it august 20th yet?

I'd be willing to stake money on his romance scene(s) having a reference to his introduction.

I know i'm late as hell but... Everything looks the same as SR3.
They just copy-paste the entire city.

Are you telling me that Steelport looks like Steelport?
Holy shit. I need to tell Volition this, I think they've made a huge oversight.
Are you telling me that SR4 Steelport looks like SR3 Steelport?
ftfy.
Yes.
Same buildings, same stores, same bridges.
The only way you could be excited for this game is if you rushed through SR3.
After ~100 hours of SR3 gameplay, Steelport became really boring.
But hey! SR3 did well. So let's all forgive 'em for their lazyness.
I'll just wait for it to be on a humble bundle and buy it for 4$ or so.
It looks like a DLC anyway, i'll buy it at DLC price.

Wait... there are some alien ships hovering the city.
Nice point.

Since when did this thread become the comments for every SRIV video posted in Videos And Flash Movies and That Kind Of Crap. :v:
You haven't researched this game at all have you?
Generally the people who go "SRIV IS JUST A DLC, COPY PASTE" ect. haven't researched it.
same stores
Funny how you can say this despite us not having seen any of the stores in-game so far.

Watch the gameplay trailer again.
Now. Who here didn't do their research properly?
Might as well snip your post so you don't sound dumb.

Oh right, that old gameplay video from a while ago.
Now it's pretty clear why you're on the "SRIV is just a DLC" train.

Trailer is from May.
AAA game going from Pre-Alpha to Full Release in 3 months? What a rush.
Are you trying to prove my point or something?
OPEN WORLD
I finally feel comfortable confirming that the Virtual Steelport open world is definitely more interesting than the SRTT version, and has replayability. I am having more fun exploring and poking around than I ever did in SRTT. In fact, 15 of my 30 hours in the preview were spent free roaming, and I simply couldn't get enough. I was absolutely crushed when the timed preview was up and I was forced to stop. This is an excellent sign that the game will hold up and still remain fun in post-game. For everyone who keeps asking, it still doesn't come close to approaching the varied environments and details of SR2 Stilwater though. Volition, we need more interesting stuff like underground caverns, cemetaries, universities, mountains, hotel interiors, more stores, and a mall! These are the kind of things that keep the open world fresh and interesting!
Basically everyone who has played the game loves it. When it comes down to people who have played the game and people who haven't, I'm going to side with the people who have played the game because they know what they're talking about.
