I partly believe this is Deep Silver/Volition's fault for not making it's originality unmistakably clear from the start, but hearing about people saying it's just dlc, and waiting until it's 10 dollars, never fails to give me an aneurysm.
And to be frank the original trailers looked like shit. Initially I was convinced this game would suffer from Call of Duty syndrome and just be rehashed Saints Row 3. I only changed my opinion when I started seeing first hand accounts, especially from IdolNinja.
How the fuck does Tanya survive that many rounds in the chest and is still able to hang on to a ledge?

Other than the new alien structures in the sky and some changed sign textures, little actually seems different. Same shops, mostly the same outfits, etc. As for the story, as long as the first few missions are not tutorials for the activities that will be an improvement, but as to whether it's longer or not, do we know that for sure?
i think the thing that's making it so different to people is the sheer difference in movement the city might seem entirely different if you can jump around on rooftops and glide around and shit sometimes a new perspective changes a lot [editline]19th July 2013[/editline]
mostly the same outfits, etc.
idolninja's said that there are a ton of different citizens walking around, rather than the few amount there were in SRTT if you mean clothing options for your character, that number has doubled from The Third all its clothes + clothes from DLC are returning, and that number again in new clothes
As for the story, as long as the first few missions are not tutorials for the activities that will be an improvement,
it's confirmed that there are no missions that are just activities that you are forced to do in the main storyline
but as to whether it's longer or not, do we know that for sure?
there are roughly the same number of main story missions, but like i said before, none of them are just activities that you have to do, so i'd wager the game is a bit longer
Am I too late to join the Gat Bandwagon?
Am I too late to join the Gat Bandwagon?
I hope not.
how the hell do you get multiplayer working for sr2? using gotr.
johnny lied to us he doesnt have an eight inch cock help
Maybe his whole personality is compensation for a wang that isn't there.
how the hell do you get multiplayer working for sr2? using gotr.
You don't. Multiplayer is inherently broken in the PC port, and GotR is not compatible with it. Coop works fine though if both players have the mod installed. There are mutiple issues that can come up with connecting though, and these are all addressed in the SR2 PC FAQ: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1715922
how the hell do you get multiplayer working for sr2? using gotr.
Both players must have GOTR. Well shit. Ninja by idolNinja
it's confirmed that there are no missions that are just activities that you are forced to do in the main storyline
Actually, there was one activity that a story mission segued into. It was an instance of Professor Genki's Mind Over Murder, and completing it as part of the mission unlocked more of it on the map. My memory from April is a bit fuzzy, but I vaguely remember it being a tutorial for using telekinesis once you unlock that power, so it didn't really bother me. This is a big difference from SRTT where they stop the story and force you to do 4 activities in a row each disguised as missions to continue.
it was more like 10 infact i think it was slightly above 10
There were 9 during the Angel/Kinzie/Zimos part.
There were 9 during the Angel/Kinzie/Zimos part.
wrong i just checked and there were 10 kinzie had 4 activities, not 3 like the others and then on top of that there were 4 other activity missions that you had to play through almost right before that
Didn't pierce have a few at the beginning
Didn't pierce have a few at the beginning
Yes, pierce had 4, kinzie had 4, Angel had 3 and so did Zimos in total, 14 missions were actually activities
I'll fully admit that when I saw the first few trailers, I was really skeptical. Why were they advertising the game like that?
And I'd take their word for it, but I'm just not sure how that's possible. We're pretty sure.
I'll fully admit that when I saw the first few trailers, I was really skeptical. Why were they advertising the game like that?
I'm still skeptical. No matter how much people quote the devs saying "It's different!1!!". I still think this will be SR3.5. I really want to be wrong though. I love Saint's Row.

I really want to be wrong though. I love Saint's Row.
Yeah you really sound like you want to be wrong, with that strong opinion of yours, well done getting it across that you want Saints Row 4 and not 3.5

I love Saint's Row.
We're not quoting devs, we're quoting people that have actually played the game, people who thought the exact thing you're thinking right now- you think IdolNinja walked into Volition's offices thinking that SR4 was awesome and a worthy successor to SR2? No, of course not. However, he was proved wrong, and today he is really excited to play it again. Please don't be ignorant, it only makes you look stupid. (especially with that shit eating grin your avatar has)

Steam will not be able to play with D2D will not be able to play with GFWL will not be able to play with cracked, etc. If you do have the same versions then it's obviously something else. Try the no password option and/or opening port 4200 TCP/UDP.

I don't know if the Dubstep Gun is a massive tribute to dubstep, or a massive lampooning. On one hand, using it requires a moderate-to-positive opinion on dubstep, while on the other hand, you're killing people.
