• Five Nights at Freddy's. The indie horror game where animatronics from a pizzaria try to murder you
It helps that if I remember the posters right, the first notable thing was that two kids went missing and were presumed murdered in the pizzeria. An unknown time after that, three more were added to the missing list. If the animatronics are directly linked - by haunting, themselves doing it or otherwise - to the murders, the first two disappearances might be linked between Bonnie and Freddy.
That doesn't add up though, the two kids who were found were the last in the list, they're the ones that lead to the killer being found and arrested, and three more were later found out to have disappeared in similar circumstances before. Honestly it's likely that the murders are just a red herring and/or another sign that the pizzeria has always been fucked. The only way I'd see it being actually important is if the guy did it as a way to bargain with the animatronics, helping them get kids in exchange for something.

Rule #5: Don't poop on floor.
Let me add what I think to all this. The recordings said that they used to free roam during the day, until 87. And as we know, they see people as endoskeletons during their freeroam time. I think that the animatronics killed those children, and to save face, the store pinned it on some poor schmuck. After free roam was made to only night time, they started hiring a "security guard" not to keep people out, but to keep the animatronics in. The reports mention how the bodies of the kids were never found, and in the recordings the previous guard mentions something about wondering what's in the "empty" heads in the back room. The store might have been using the spare heads to hide the bodies.
Speaking of animatronics and their character, I think Freddy and Bonnie are the only two actually haunted/possessed/fucked up animatronics. They have by far the most influence over the restaurant - Freddy's posters change on their own, the rooms they wander in are the ones that change the most (the story posters in the broom closet, the children's drawings, the back room), Bonnie can disable cameras in his wake, they can both TP around and most importantly, they're the only two characters to appear in hallucinations. Neither Foxy nor Chica show up in hallucinations or have nearly as much capabilities as Bonnie and Freddy. In day time, Bonnie and Freddy are the two most prominent animatronics, with Freddy singing and Bonnie playing the guitar while Chica is just standing there and Foxy's outright left in a corner. Maybe Freddy and Bonnie are the only robots to have actually gained full conscience and they're merely manipulating the other animatronics which would explain Chica and Foxy's dead eye stare (she never directly looks at you, she always stares in your general direction but her eyes aren't focused on you) while Bonnie and Freddy consistently stare you down directly, making proper eye contact. Assuming Bonnie and Freddy actually control everyone else, it'd also explain why Foxy works so erratically. He's clearly a different model of animatronic, slimmer and with an endoskeleton that's likely grafted onto the suit itself (hence why it's so hard to replace it and why there's no gap between the eyesockets and the eyes themselves, as well as why these eyes glow to begin with), so Freddy can't control him properly, which leads to very limited and rushed movement, explaining both why Foxy outright charges your door rather than sneak in, and why the bite of '87 was so brutal and obvious while the animatronics have obviously worked hard to keep a low profile to the public. Also explains why Foxy will rush you down during phone guy's night 2 message, and why he rushed him down during his recording of night 4 when other animatronics would have simply waited for a better opportunity that wouldn't leave such obvious evidence. It also means that Freddy can probably see through the eyes of that cupcake on your desk, which is why he's so idle in the first days and how he's learned all of your habits and tactics by the sixth.
I disagree. They all operate differently, but I don't think that means that any of them are under the direct control of another animatronic. It is possible however, that Chica is 'newer' than some of the others - especially given that there are hints towards phone guy being turned into her. As for what they do, it would stand to reason that Chica is the one who deals with the cupcake in your room - given she has another on her person at certain times. I haven't seen any evidence to suggest it is exclusively Bonnie who messes with the cameras. They all seem to interfere with the electronics and Chica will jam the door in the same manner Bonnie does. Foxy's behaviour is erratic - but his movements are not. He runs fast, but there is fair amount of power and control when he does so. He's never seen to be tripping over himself and when he comes through the door he seems to maintain smoother movements than his cohorts. Foxy doesn't seem to be under anyone else's control. To the contrary - he is segregated from the rest of the group and, unlike Bonnie and Chica, doesn't work towards some overarching strategy. He just charges the door when he thinks you aren't looking.
Uhh, if we're still on what the dude looks like, I like this interpretation the best.
Would also explain the sanitary reports, using the spare heads without cleaning them out properly. While this idea takes away the whole supernatural part, it does open up ideas to the management of the store being behind it.

That's only the phone guy's opinion and he's not very reliable when it comes to the hows and whys of the animatronics. The may just really not like people who wander around after hours for all we know.
Didnt notice she had more recent pictures This is from 6 minutes ago
Interesting enough, a friend and I had a discussion regarding the idea of FN@F cosplay. We both came to the conclusion that some shit is just too spooky to try and re-create in life, even if it is just a costume.
Supposedly, the only reason they see people as endoskeletons is because of the dark.
Considering they specifically stick to the dark themselves and have no qualms about killing a man sitting in a lit-up security room, I doubt that. Especially Bonnie and Freddy, the former tending to have their eyes turn freaky in the dark while the latter is almost exclusively in the darkness when he gets the opportunity.
Supposedly, the only reason they see people as endoskeletons is because of the dark.
Maybe that's why there was only a few deaths during the day, kids wandering into dark parts of the pizzeria and the roaming animatronics finding them.
I dunno why, but I imagine Mike as being like some long-haired stoner type
[t]http://i.imgur.com/aJhvvkk.png[/t] This is the only way I see Mike.
Also, I got thinking about the reasons of termination at the end, specifically the tampering with animatronics. It might just be referencing that you could change the AI levels at the beginning of the night, but also maybe the pizzeria added that so that if Mike tried to tell someone "HEY LOOK, KILLER ROBOTS" the managment could just go "What, no. You just fucked around with the programing." And it'd look like Mike was just trying to get back at them.
If we're still talking about lore theories... [sp]I don't buy into any of the ghost things, but the intelligence and mobility that Freddy and the Gang possess brings me to believe that they might not even be regular animatronics in the first place. If the source quote for Voiceover5 is anything to go by, and if selection of the quote isn't just coincidence, the endo-skeletons might have been made for something else a long time ago. Their old purpose probably wasn't for something malicious either. For what ever reason they would have been dumped by their original designers, bought (for cheap no doubt) by Freddy Fazbear's Pizza and re-purposed to be what they are now. Something had to have fucked them up while they were at Fazbear's, though, and now they can only safely unshackle their AI when absolutely no one (important) is near the building. Why they would ever need to do that, or even keep them turned on at all times, I don't know. But I do have a hunch that the player is really just supposed to be there to keep the machines contained, and they are much more capable than just singing and dancing to those same stupid songs at the pizzeria every day.[/sp]
All the fan artwork of this game is just the best thing since sliced bread.
So, I bought FN@F on Desura and then again separately on Steam, so I have a spare Steam Key... First person to PM me gets it (Please only message me if you don't own the game already). EDIT: Key has been given out!
Heya guys, 15 minutes from now I'll be streaming the game myself! I've never really played the game until tonight because I wanted to wait for it to be on Steam first. Anywho, here's the link!
After reading the Greenlight description mention "your summer job at Freddy's" or something similar I can't not imagine the security guard as being some teenager or young adult, like the kind you'd see as the protagonist in one of those PG-13 horror tv shows. Come to think of it a bunch of animatronics running wild in a pizzeria after dark sounds like something you'd see in a Goosebumps book/tv episode, minus the brutal murder, of course. That'd just be heavily implied.

Ok guys, so I may have gotten into a bit of a buying frenzy from some of the things that were on sale on Steam today and just said fuck it and bought this shit even though it wasn't on sale. I'm an absolute pussy when it comes to horror games, especially jump scares. This will be my first time playing this shit even though I've been following this game closely for the past week. Wish me luck.
