So, I've been bored and checking the 4chan threads that've popped up for any new info. First off, apparently a 1.1 update has just come out, *apparently described a few posts above. Second, an anon supposedly found somethin' spookier than usual and took a picture of it: Post's image: As always, take stuff from 4chan with a truckload of salt. However, this seems pretty freaky and interesting if it's real.
The question is what does it signify for robots? The eyeless yellow one?
I remember Jim Sterling took a look at this game's Greenlight trailer. He had a bit of a point about the "reveal" at the end when the robot takes off the mask, it's kind of pointless to do that when you already know it's a robot and it looks scarier with the mask on.

Freddy 1.1 update stream http://www.hitbox.tv/inkcoder

http://youtu.be/iOztnsBPrAA?t=2m44s
His post that I embedded says he had it appear in place of the usual poster with the safety rules. Again, 4chan is rife with liars and fake story-tellers, but if it's somehow real, it's spooktastic.
He explained in the post that it changed from Rules of Freddy's into the newsclipping, probably on the 5th/6th day.
The post says it was the first day, but it was also posted today, and an update just came out, so it's possible that the update changed it. Somebody go check.
Man, I am too scared to play the game but I just wanna know every detail about it's story it's so deliciously dark and spooky
Oh, hey. A bit late, but I've been bored today so I've been reverse engineering the format everything is stored in. So far I've managed to unpack (locate and decompress) with my program around 140MB of data, working on getting it all unpacked. Then I just have to figure out what in the fuck they are.
No, stop! You may be tampering with forces being your control and understanding!
Same anon from my earlier post tried to get the same result in higher res, but got a different message instead: Actual image:
Why is it that horror games have the best lore? I want to know all about the story of this game and I don't have the testes to play it.
The best lore is lore you have to piece together with your own lore to make it make sense.
Why is it that horror games have the best lore? Although, as some of the threads are showing, the game gets some surprisingly deep lore tucked away under all the animatronic horror.
I can't see how this game will be run into the ground where unlike Slender this actually is a game.
I'm still more afraid of sharks than these things.
Man, I am too scared to play the game but I just wanna know every detail about it's story it's so deliciously dark and spooky
I especially love horror stories about establishments meant for children that are actually corrupt and sinister. There's something that just really draws me to them, a mix of fear and fascination.
So is there a good commentariless or commentary-lite playthrough of this? Or one with good commentary? I'm not up-to-date on which of the horror LPers are good.
Progress! Got all the sounds. edit: Uploaded on request: http://u.rtag.me/p/sounds.zip
Because people haven't shut up about this game all day and today is the first day I've heard of it.
The fact the game game punishes you with a screamer for your own fair loss is something that is a-okay in my books. The most real punishment for dying in a game, actually.
Progress! Got all the sounds.
Could you upload them somewhere?
Gah, I thought the hallway next to you on the monitor showed what was in the doorway, so I closed the door when one of them got there, and when I didn't see them on that monitor anymore, I opened the door and lost my dentures. 5 AM as well. Also, how does the game deal with continues, because I closed out once day 2 started on one attempt, but for some reason it didn't save and I had to redo day 1.
The screamer isn't even that startling anyway, after the first couple of times you know when to expect it. Personally, the sound they make is just fucking hilarious [sp]EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH[/sp] and the animations are super goofy. It becomes a throwback to cheesy horror of the '80s after a while. /opinion
I also did a video of this;
