• Five Nights at Freddy's. The indie horror game where animatronics from a pizzaria try to murder you

Man, I wish there was deeper shit to this game than we've found. It seems like everything that's going to be known about the game is known at this point but I desperately want more hidden lore and secrets.
You guys know the whole "The cupcake allows them to see you when you look at the cameras" theory? Well I figured out a different, more concrete theory- [sp]the cameras are only active when you use them. Saving power, right? Well, when you switch to a camera, you probably have it have a light on it to signify it's on. What if they see that and stop? It also explains why Foxy comes out of the Cove when you do it too much or too little- the light shines into his area![/sp]
[sp]The only reason Foxy tries to kill you is because he's trying to sleep and wants you to turn the fucking lights off.[/sp]
mm, i find the entire concept of fnaf really intriguing since it mainly just throws you in without any backstory. kinda the whole "it's up to you to find out ooo~~" thing. and honestly, the best part about it is that it's not all noticable in the game. some of the information is buried in the files and actually requires some detection work to find. scott did a good.
Can anyone tell me which LP it was that had minimal facecam or talking? I'm trying to find one that'll show how scary the game is to someone (who's never played it), so i don't think one in which they talk loads is going to help.

You don't really feel the same tension when someone else is behind the wheel.
For SS13 :v: Drawing the profile view is damn hard without proper references.
Someone beat me to the punch. Needs a little more detail though. Darker red.
i hope i'm not the only one who likes to imagine that when mike's fired he goes home and gets extremely buzzed. drink the pain away, eh?
Probably, and then 5 years later, long after the Pizza Palace has shut down, he gets recruited by the "Collector" to keep watch over his collection of animatronics in the old abandoned Freddyland Miami park. And that is when Five Weeks in Freddyland begins.
Best way to show how scary something is to someone is to just make them play it themselves. You don't really feel the same tension when someone else is behind the wheel.
I was absolutely terrified while watching an LP. Besides, they aren't brilliant at vidya.
he'd probably snap his own neck as soon as he figures out what he got himself into again automatonophobia, bro. he's either scarred for life or feels like a total boss for surviving, but definitely doesn't want to get involved again. poor dude.
Anyone else hoping for a better confirmed story than the whole [sp]dead kids haunting the animatrons[/sp] thing? I mean some of it's done in a pretty rad way and some of the hidden shit makes it effective but overall that as an answer feels like a really really big cliche cop-out. Also I'm a little curious what happened to [sp]Phone guy. I mean, obviously he got caught, but he asks you to look in the suits for him and states that he's gonna 'try to hold out', but Mike comes back next day and aside from the new spooky phone message nothing's changed. Did he not find phone guy, or did he, or did he even look or did he not because he's either too scared or a huge asshole?[/sp] Also I'm a little confused on how the whole phone recording thing works. The fact that a phone rings implies that the call is live, but the referring to it as a recording makes it sound like it's past tense, in which case why is there a phone ring? If they're recordings, why not give them all a listen on the first night, and [sp]if they're recordings why did the phone guy think he'd still be in the suit, or that he'd be able to hang on for that long? It sounds like he's speaking presently like this is happening now check tomorrow, but it obviously can't be happening right then.[/sp] IDK, maybe I'm being an idiot, it wouldn't be the first time I failed to understand dialogue in this game.
I'd Illustrate a quick sketch to celebrate a 100 pages, but Adobe Cloud is being an ass, ass always.
I'm ready for Freddy. Bite me. Animatronics are fun, if he showed up I would pretend to be a robot and make robot noises. If you can't beat them, join them.

Which would explain how he got Mike's number. Now he calls Mike but Mike doesn't answer, prompting him to leave voice messages for Mike, who isn't really going out of his way to listen to his entire inbox for some reason. Mike isn't known for making smart, consistent decisions, but voicemail messages is the only explanation I can think of that remotely explains why recordings are preceded with a phone ringing.
Y'know what bugs me about the [sp]dead kids theory?[/sp] Whoever is speaking on night 5 is [sp]quoting, supposedly, Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda. I doubt any child would even know what that book is, let alone have read it.[/sp] If you're wondering where I get that answer to that mystery, here and here.
So Bonnie is starting to be the more popular than Foxy at /vg/, with her picking up the new name of thunder thighs. arrrr
what the hell
yarr harr harr, bonnie's got me booty!
what the hell
if something has animals, even if they're meant to be freaky and utterly terrifying, this will always happen
So after installing Illustrator, & 60 seconds of brainstorming, I got an idea for a simple animation. So now I'm installing Flash. FFFF- Also with my luck it'll go page king. Page 101.
I'd Illustrate a quick sketch to celebrate a 100 pages, but Adobe Cloud is being an ass, ass always.
a bit late, but here you go [del]dammit mike, we told you to get chocolate cake, not white.[/del]
guise, what if FF's Pizza is located at Arstotzka? I mean, for a paycheck and work conditions like that, it's doubtful that a man in it's right mind would work in a place like that.
I finally figured out why Chica is the one with the most terrifying looks. It's the black circles around the eyes, both of them are facing forwards unlike on a real chicken and it has fucking teeth.
-snip they changed games-
So my boyfriend and I went through the pictures of the game. All of them. And found that there is no animation throughout the game but just prerendered photos that are to move a certain amount of seconds to give the impression of animation. For example; Foxy's run down the hall, Bonnie and Chica up close and personal, Freddy's attacks, and Freddy glowing in the dark. So even if there was a way to Mod the game the pictures have to be photoshopped or at least remade by scratch to give the appeal of a heavily modded game. The only thing easy about this is the music/sounds that can be altered and changed without worry about messing up the game. If you wanna see the sound and game files someone on this forum posted a link ago of the zips but I'll gladly link them again. http://s.rtag.me/freddy/
wasn't sure whether to rate late or dumb.
