What if those in-app purchases were unlocked for Night 7 only? Basically you can modify Night 7 and play as much as you want and basically just mess around in the game. That would lead to some interesting stuff, like possible AI modifiers, etc.

Nobody benefited from the previous microtransactions. You essentially paid money to defeat the whole point of the game. Hell, the whole never lose power option was about as close as you can get to a 'win the game' purchase as you can without it literally functioning as such. The new microtransactions are a lot more elegant. Cheap, fun and they don't undermine the core concept.
