Five Nights at Freddy's. The indie horror game where animatronics from a pizzaria try to murder you
I wonder how good FN@F2 will look considering Scott will probably be on a bigger budget than 300 dollars like he was with the original.
The Grand Reopening render alone shows much more work being put into Freddy (safe to assme other animatronics as well). I wonder how the game will end up playing. Wiki states that Scott will add in scrapped animatrons in the sequel, so I doubt that the same formula can be used in the sequel. He probably could get away with it, but I'd go a little more insane trying to keep track of more than the four existing animatrons.
Besides which, if they get outside, what are they going to do? At most they'll get 2 or 3 murders off before someone rams them with a car or something and the problem is swiftly resolved. If any military or police element was alerted to OH MY GOD, FUCKING KILLER ANIMAL ANIMATRONICS then the Fazbear gang would be pretty fucked.
Like that one episode of the Regular Show that someone posted a few weeks back?
So I realized that one particular song fits with Five nights at Freddy's and it would be cool seeing like a small video with the Animatronics playing it, and while they are singing, you can see a bit of Flesh, a body part or hear a muffled cry for help coming from them while this one song plays.

The friend IS inside Freddy and his Friends.

Probably, yeah. They might cause a little localized trouble but it'd be like the original Gremlins movie.

And then 5N@F2 takes place in a big ol' super-mall filled with super-science, like the super-tech building in Gremlins 2, and the animatronics walk around the mall at night when they stroll out of the Fazbear's Pizza joint.
So why does Bonnie walk past the naked Endoskeleton? I thought Naked Endoskeletons were against the rules.
Because it was backstage, the only place where naked Endoskeletons are supposed to be.
2 ways I feel the sequel could go, both assuming its a new character:
1: Its treated that Mike never made it the full week. As such the whole "animatronics come to life and try and kill outsiders at night" thing is still just a rumor/urban legend.
2: Mike lives to tell his tale, but like I said a while ago he is dismissed as a nut case. And the fact that he was fired for "tampering with the animatronics" doesn't help him as he is seen as "that douchebag security guard who got bored and messed with the beloved animatronics".
Less Serious Option: Mike buys Freddys for $120 and opens it to the public as a means of dealing with the homeless/drug addicts/etc. The game changes to something like Tecmo's Deception: You try to keep people there TO get them killed.
Perhaps when it gets closed down, as alluded to by the papers, either the Pizza Place gets incorporated into some sort of mall, or there's my earlier idea of the animatronics being bought up by a crazy collector who owns a theme park, the old abandoned Freddyland New Jersey.
I'm probably gonna have to play 20/20/20/20 later today for reasons. Any advice? Never played the game before.

Check cameras like a madman. Check lights frequently and as often as you remember.
DO NOT GO MORE THAN 30 SECONDS WITHOUT CHECKING FOXY (except on night 6).
You are probably going to get spooked more than a few times, but that is all part of mastering the game.
Either way with the sequel on its way hopefully Scott will just give us more background information and more concrete answers.
[sp]that or we may be even more confused after the sequel [/sp] :v:

Be ready 4 freddy
Given the insane detail on that new freddy model that might not even be complete yet I'm gonna bet a large majority of FNAF2's development time will be modelling\rendering.

That almost sounds like the plot to Chopping Mall.

You're going to die

Shut the right door every time you check your camera and then open it as soon as you put it back down. It's the only way to stop Freddy from getting in and still save power.
Use the camera to watch for Foxy and nothing else. Bonnie and Chica should only be checked for using the door lights.
If Bonnie or Chica freeze either of the doors or light switches, you're guaranteed to die within ten seconds.

Oh, and chances are, you'll run out of power by 5AM. When you're around 4-3% power, stop doing everything and wait for it to drain. Pray to god that Freddy's song plays for more than one minute. Don't even touch your mouse.

In the opening phase, only check Pirate Cove. After Freddy laughs four times (Signalling he's in the Eastern Hall), enter the looping phase. This consists of closing the eastern door, checking the camera for less than a second, opening the eastern door again, checking both western and eastern door lights for Bonnie and Chica, then repeat.
If you find Bonnie or Chica, make sure they are gone by checking the door light BEFORE opening the door. So many times people have failed because they open the door thinking the animatronic is gone, then the light reveals them and before they can shut the door again, the system has malfunctioned. Therefore, if you found and blocked Bonnie or Chica, make sure they are gone before you open the door.
When you find Bonnie, close both doors, check the camera, then check the eastern door for Chica and go back to Bonnie. Normally she's gone by the time you get back around to that part of the loop, but it never hurts to try. If you find Chica on the other hand, close the door, check the western light, then the cameras (The door should already be closed because of Chica), and then check the eastern light, before opening the door, provided Chica has moved on. If Chica is still there, alternate between the two lights until she leaves, which should be less than a second afterward.
Do not under ANY circumstances allow Foxy to hit the western door more than once. His first hit takes 1% power from you, but hits after that have an additive 5% onto the penalty. For example, on the second hit, Foxy will drain 6% power, on the third hit, he will take 11% power, and so on. If Foxy hits the door more than once, you will not make it through the night, period. It is imperative you mind Foxy.
Even when watching Foxy, listen for loud footsteps. If you hear them, check both door lights immediately. It's one warning that Bonnie or Chica is peeking into the camera room. A second telltale warning is if you're using the door lights, and the light turns off without you clicking it again. This is a more reliable warning that an animatronic is peeking in. If it's not the one at the door you lit up, it will be the other one. For example, if you're checking the western light, it goes off for half a second, and Bonnie is still not there when it comes on, it's very likely Chica may be at the eastern door. Likewise, if you're checking the eastern light and it goes off suddenly and Chica isn't there, it's likely Bonnie is at the western door. This is the most reliable way of warning you someone is threatening to breach the camera room, although the light can also turn off if an animatronic moves away from the doors. Despite that, listen for footsteps and be wary of door lights turning themselves off without your okay.
When you run down to 4% power, end the looping phase. Stop, do nothing, and wait. The end-of-night phase in which you hope you managed to conserve power and hold out well enough. The longer it has been 5 AM, the better your chance.
Lastly, it will take a lot of attempts. I went into 4-20 mode riding off the motivational tailwind of flawlessly beating nights 5 and 6 first time. No amount of experience can prepare you for the level of aggression you face on 4-20 mode. You could be perfect with your every move, not miss a beat, not leave anything on accidentally and still get denied because one or more animatronics are extremely aggressive, either Bonnie or Chica at the doors, Foxy assaulting the western door frequently, or Freddy not giving you much time after power runs out. Random chance plays a major role in the end-of-night phase and you can have victory snatched away from you so many times, get denied victory by mere nanoseconds. Happened to me a lot of times and you just have to try again. That's just the long 'n' short of it.
My theory for FNAF2. Building is old and dilapidated, but being remodeled for a re-opening. One day they re-activate the animatronics for tweaking and repairs and such. The following night, one of the guys working on the remodeling goes into the security room to fix it up, and gets the electric in that room working. The cameras and such all turn back on. He looks at the screen, and notices that an animatronic is gone.
Begin game.
I fucking called it, rebuilt Freddies, new rooms, new access to areas, possibly maybe new robots, fucking hyped
I hope there's actual new gameplay elements in FNAF2, but then again, it's hard to expand a horror game about checking cameras, balancing power and closing doors.

bonus, the guy finds the old recordings done by phone guy, or a new one done by the former security guard who did survive 7 nights

Id love to hear phone guys old recordings, stuttering and glitching (but still understandable). I think if we got to hear mike it would be kinda weird, like hearing gordan freeman speak.
What if the animatronics can impersonate people's voices? That way if Mike becomes a new Phone Guy, and he sounds weird, like saying what the guy before him said, it would explain it.
I really wanna find out why the anims are haunted, we need to launch an investigation
Hang on there is something odd about Phone Guy, how does he know what is happening with the animatronics and knows that he can leave a message for the new guy if he is only staying around a week? Something is odd about him, and he tends to lie about a lot of things. The way he acted, he acted like he worked there for weeks, he never said he is on his first night, infact on Monday, how does he know what is going on? Unless he recorded it in bulk? Which can't be right since on Night 4 [sp]The Animatronic's are about to get him[/sp] Wouldn't we hear them on the other recordings? The recordings tend to go for about an in-game hour, so he can't of done it on one day, but somehow he knew more than us, more than we would of found out in a week. Actually, why didn't we make a phone call for the next guy? Since the Phone Guy mentioned that he needed to do the introductory message and talk about legal stuff. And if he was there for more than a week, how come he wasn't fired on Night 7? So far there is no combination that keeps you from getting fired, even if you don't tweak it you still get fired.

Yeah, and it wouldn't be a waste of time considering there is a story that we haven't found out, and that a good observer would be able to find it.
The only big things I want to be different in 5N@F2 are the game being fully rendered in 3D instead of relying on pre-rendered cutscenes and events, and the ability to explore the pizzeria safely when you're not on your shift.
I was thinking the player, every day, should have between 6:00PM and 11:59PM to wander and roam freely around the building, which could be a great chance to find out more details of the plot of both the last game and the new one (maybe program some random scares here and there, but no screamers or anything, just some hallucinations to keep players on their toes). But as soon as the clock strikes midnight, the animatronics come to life and the player has to return to the office as quickly as possible. If they don't get there fast enough, one random animatronic begins to stalk and chase the player in an effort to kill them before they can reach safety (different robots would have different strategies and abilities to slow down or prevent the player from getting to the office). If the player does make it back to the office in time, the game switches gears and you're back to your old job of monitoring the bots with the cameras and keeping them out of the office like the first game.
