Alright so speculation.
Some time must have passed between fnaf and fnaf2 based on the state of freddy. From the looks of it they only have spare heads and no spare body parts, which explains freddy's new look and the fact he has damage.
But freddy clearly had a spare body at least (or it was modified) since he now has buttons.
Also, he has upper teeth. I presumed that none of the fnaf 1 animatrons had upper teeth because if they did they would be more likely to be able to bite (likely the teeth were removed after 87) since in fnaf 1 the teeth of the endo are quite far back so they're safe. The upper part of the animatron's mouths are likely soft-ish since they don't really fit onto the endo properly
Foxy of course has upper teeth, which for me reinforces that he was most likely the cause of the bite of 87.
Now, fnaf 2 freddy's upper teeth have clearly been added to the head by whoever is reopening the place since they aren't present on the spare heads in the back room. The head also seems to be smaller or he uses a different endo since the internal teeth seem to be more obvious on the fnaf 2 model.
The crazy themepark owner must know what he's doing, in that case.

We could assume who ever is reopening the place have so far only made a new body and a new head for freddy as seen the head and body don't show the same deterioration of the arms. This just means the animatronics will be getting a face lift (thats great bonnie...now no one will know you are a horrible byproduct of a hippo and rabbit relationship :V)

Based on an image posted earlier I'm pretty sure the head isn't new, it's quite clearly one of the spare heads seen in the backstage of fnaf 1.

Honestly, I just think that the new freddy look is just a case of "New game, new designs", like portal 1 and 2 had.
Probably but we love coming up with reasons that make sense in-universe.

the reasons I dont think its a spare head is the fact "wouldn't the spare head(s) also deteriorate like the arms showing time has passed?", then there's the fact the holes for his ears are much higher up than his standard as if the new freddy had his hat on, his ears would be relatively closer to it than the old freddy head. If they had new heads already at that pizzeria its rather odd that they had them there and not use em (unless the creator did that on purpose to hint that they did already plan for a second game). If anything if those are the new heads for FN@F2 then person who reopened it aldo decided to modify the teeth as the new Freddy teeth is rather spaced apart unlike those in the backroom and on freddy.

It never had a reason for why glados looked completely different, or why the walls of the same chambers you went to in portal 1 were different, or the different cubes with the lights, etc etc etc.

The animatronics wouldn't need teeth to cause the sort of damage the kid suffered in the Bite of 87 since their jaws are most likely strong enough to create the sort of pressure required to simply cave the skull in.

And if they do pierce the flesh, it becomes even harder to break the bite-hold with the teeth preventing the head from moving back.

Also just noticed, Freddy has a new bowtie.
Well guys, I finally had my first five nights at freddy's dream. But it wasn't scary.
My girlfriend and I were at this warehouse, not the pizzeria, we were checking the cameras and locking the doors just like in the game though, and we were in this very big room. Well sure enough, first one to come at one of our doors was chica, and my girlfriend went right up and opened the door for her.
Then, she tells chica that we have some pizza inside and she's invited to stay. Chica turned out to be a girl in a costume (like a halloween one) and she said that she had been starving her entire shift. The rest of the guys eventually joined us too and we had a pizza party. Good vibes all around.
has anyone else noticed how slowly, everyone who posted in this thread changes their avatar to something fn@f related?
