Is there a story involved with the game's 90's prerendered graphics?
Personally, it adds to the scary factor and charm.
Is there a story involved with the game's 90's prerendered graphics?
A lore story? No. I imagine Scott didn't want to flesh out extensive models, maps, etc. Also, if you look at some of his other games, like The Desolate Hope or The Pilgrim's Progress, the CG graphics have a few similarities. In fact, the beaver game he made (which I don't know the name of) is direct inspiration for the animatronics.
I just went to Crisis-Omega's page to find some FN@F art, and of course, it's another picture of Foxy in drag. He's a lost cause at this point.
A friend bought me this game for my birthday, I'm looking forward to playing it.

Oh shit I thought you guys might like this. I did this art a while ago but never posted it anywhere
A friend bought me this game for my birthday, I'm looking forward to playing it.
I'm normally pretty sturdy with horror games and I'm not easy startled but fuck me, that motherfucking purple fuck poking his head in my room for the first time was scary as fuck. He literally was just standing there watching me for like three seconds before I had the sense to shut the door.
Is there a story involved with the game's 90's prerendered graphics?
It's how Scott works around the fact the engine he uses doesn't support 3D.
he should really upgrade that if there's ever a big budget sequel it'd be nice to have the animatronics actually moving around in real time on the cameras and not just jumping from one scripted area to the next

I mean look at the weeping angels. You never see them move (apart from that one time in series 5 but we don't talk about that) and they're still scary.
Reminds of the hedge animals from the book and made-for-TV movie version of The Shining (not Kubrick's version). In the book the hedge animals never moved when the human characters looked at them. They were fucking terrifying. In the TV movie, they were shitty CGI effects you could see moving on screen and it just killed all the tension and sense of immersion. Kinda worried that showing the animatronics moving around would have the same effect.

The cameras would have an active light, so they know when you're watching and when you're not. Also they disable the cameras to move. It would be good if you could catch a glimpse of them quickly coming to a stop when they notice you can see them.

Or did he/she just freshly murder something...
I- I'm really not sure what Weaver is going for here... are Bonnies fingers supposed to look like she was playing with herself...? Or did he/she just freshly murder something...
Jesus christ thats fucking disgusting
I- I'm really not sure what Weaver is going for here... are Bonnies fingers supposed to look like she was playing with herself...? Or did he/she just freshly murder something...
Why not both?
I- I'm really not sure what Weaver is going for here... are Bonnies fingers supposed to look like she was playing with herself...?
I- I'm really not sure what Weaver is going for here... are Bonnies fingers supposed to look like she was playing with herself...? Or did he/she just freshly murder something...
In some older comic Bonnie did some sensual speech for what seemed to be Mike in Freddy suit with blood spilling from every cranny and nook with Bonnie fiddling with it but it actually was just pizza sauce and an empty suit. Oh, and Mike was watching the whole thing from the camera in his room. So yeah, it could be pizza sauce. Could be. PS. Jesus fucking Christ that hidden frame in the gif freaked me out. I thought the image from previous page was just some edit from the poster because I didn't see it first time looking.

Just use their starting location and speed and you'll know just how far they could travel in the time it takes for you to check the next camera in line. With them halting when you pan over, you get that sense that they know you're watching. Hell, they're staring the camera down half the time. I do agree that some motion can't hurt though. Things such as halting in their steps once you switch over to that camera for the first time that they're there, and maybe some movement toward the camera to knock it offline before they move to a new room.

It wouldn't be hard to do with an engine like the one Scoot uses for the game.

Then, they start moving faster as the week progresses. Also, their glitchy software probably hinders them from moving fluidly, hence why they stare down the camera before jettisoning to the next position. This could also explain why later nights start to feature the glitchy, fast paced head movements. So fluid walking animations would be an issue with that theory. I'd think it would be neat if they, after being frozen on camera for an amount of time, started glitching out and then blackened the cameras, to be seen shortly at a new location after the cameras turn back on after glitching out and freezing in place again. As they get more active as the week progresses, so does their glitching. In FN@F2, it would be very creepy and immersing if, during later nights, the speed and glitching of the animatronics was so perfectly timed that they seem to have fluid motion from one camera to the next, while still eliminating full movement animations.
Concerning FNAF2, the fact that each camera has its own light, I think that means that the animatronics can move while you're on a camera their camera but don't have the camera light on. So if a camera light runs out (assuming each camera has its own power meter) you can't check where the animatronics are, so you have to rely on your flashlight and vent lights. (basically making you susceptible to a Foxy attack)
