Sleeping One is my name. I think you might have been confused by the word choice from the second image edit post by GamerDude55. It should have said, "Here's a "brighter of sort" pic of what Sleeping One posted." Also, I was trying to figure out how that abomination of an animatronic would fit into the happy-go-lucky sense of daytime Freddy's. A clown-like jack-in-the-box seems to fit him well. but yeah i'm all down for naming that thing after me, has a creepy ring to it.
Whups :D Yeah you're right it suits his concept perfectly, I just saw the capitalization and figured someone had stumbled across some lore I was oblivious to. Eh, it sounds great, we'll keep it.
Are those wires in the first game?
There are wires- different ones (messy vs. organised), but it's never been clear if they were important to plot. Messy: [t]http://images.gameskinny.com/gameskinny/c53c172ca33d94a5ba9971ab8efa16b6.png[/t] [t]http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140825043718/freddy-fazbears-pizza/images/f/fe/Cam4B.png[/t] Organised: [t]http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140825011955/freddy-fazbears-pizza/images/1/16/Backstage_nocamera.jpg[/t] [t]http://cdn2.scratch.mit.edu/get_image/gallery/587256_170x100.png?v=1413477898.7[/t]
I have a better idea for a name. Geppetto, since he looks like a puppet master, but puppet master or puppeteer is kinda cliche. So maybe name him after the guy that made Pinocchio.
i wholeheartedly agree with calling him Geppetto.
I honestly don't think that...thing is supposed to be an official character in the Fazbear Entertainment lineup. I don't even think it's an animatronic. It probably has something to do with one of the murdered children, especially since the new picture seems to suggest the only corporeal part of it is the mask. As for why it shows up in children's drawings, it probably appears to them when they're alone or out of sight of any adults. Kids wander off all the time when parents aren't looking. It's likely not hostile towards children if it's connected to the murders, but it probably won't reveal itself to parents during busy daytime hours. Another little thing I just want to point out...the Marionette shows up in the same room as Foxy 2.0 right? Rolfe the Rockafire wolf (who many speculate Foxy might be partially based on, since he had his own stage apart from the main cast) had his own puppet named Earl. Earl's head was a functioning animatronic mask, but his body just dangled limp and lifeless beneath it. Just something I noticed. I could just be grasping at straws. After this revelation though, I'm terrified to play this game. I mean, I want to because it'll be great to see how the new lore progresses the story, but holy FUCK. 8 confirmed animatronics, 1 creepy ass shadow puppet, and 1 horrible balloon clown thing that may or may not move? I had a hard enough time keeping the original four out of my office, thanks.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1fQwo4TgCA Thread music for our new puppet overlord.
Did they really fucking remix an old Disney song from the 40s?! :v:
wait, if the new animatronics are supposed to protect you(when you dont have the mask on) why the fuck do they act like they're evil on camera? OK BYE"
The theory that the new animatronics are there to protect you whilst everything else is trying to kill you seems kind of weird to me, but honestly, from what we've seen, I can't think of many other ways it could work which wouldn't also be weird. As such I am really eager to see more of the actual gameplay side of things.

So I found an actually decent (imo) theory in the discussion area. http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/329921390/613941122774620014/
I've been seeing some very good theories (and some quite bizarre ones) on the internet. From what I've gathered given officially from Scott and the most sensible theories, this is what I believe that the basis of the game will be about: 1. The OLD animatronics are still haunted by children. Most likely their bodies were removed at one point, but the spirits remained. Therefore, they are going to do to you what they attempted in the first game; stuff you into an animatronic and killing you. However, their spirits blend in with the animatronic programming, such as the rule about dealing with endoskulls without costumes. When you wear the Freddy mask, you trick their programming portion into thinking you aren't the target, and they move on. 2. The NEW versions aren't haunted. They have improved programming (hence facial recognition) and even have internet access to criminal databases. This combo of advanced technology works a bit too well. As you know, a man dressed up in a Freddy suit to lure kids backstage and killed them. The fact that there were news stories about this proves that this was logged into a criminal database. Now the NEW animatronics will use their facial recognition to identify the Freddy mask, and mistake you as the killer. When you take off the mask, they see you as a regular human being and soon leave you alone. 3. The NEW animatronics aren't guarding you against the old ones. Like I said before, they are out to get people who were recoreded into these criminal databases. The murders caused by the possessed OLD animatronics were probably covered up, so the new ones won't do anything to interfere with them. Now, you can argue that they would still go after old Freddy because of this. But in case you haven't noticed from the first game, old Freddy is a complete MLG STEALTH MASTER, so it's not like the new guys could find him anyway. 4. OLD Foxy has and will always be evil. He's my favorite character too, but that's no reason to make the obvious evil into the "troubled anti-hero-kun who wants to help but must consistently battle his inner demonz...". When he attacks, he screams like the other animatronics and gives you a game over just like theirs. That's what I believe, anyway. 5. PHONE GUY is dead. The 4th night message is proof enough. Now it could very well be Mike that we hear telling us about our bad career choice, it could be. But I think that the only reason he sounds like Phone guy at all is because they have the same voice actor, being Scott Cawthon himself. 6. As for the MARIONETTE, I got nothing. He does seem to be the new Golden Freddy in my opinion. He's a bit too small to be a grown man's corpse dressed up, but people can always mutilate their victims. Anyway, this is the ultimate theory I came up with. It takes several pointers from other theories on the internet (which are worth checking out) and a few bits I thought up of originally. Please, if you have ANY information that can legitimately change any of this, or just want to let me know what you think of my two cents, feel free to comment. :D

Like I said earlier, if he did he'd just be a vegetable.
Tell that to Phineas Gage
So what the hell happens when an old animatronic runs into a new one? The possessed ones wouldn't take too kindly to being replaced, I think, even if they are still there. Also, what if Marionetta is actually a victim that got sliced up at the joints, then stuffed into some rubbery diving-suit sorta thing so it wouldn't bleed through the clothing? The broken joints would fit well with the whole puppet thing, seeing as though that way you can control its movements through the wires much better than if the joints were actually joined. Just a thought.
Tell that to Phineas Gage
He still had some of his frontal lobe, the Bite of '87 victim lost his entire frontal lobe.
i wholeheartedly agree with calling him Geppetto.
OR EVEN BETTER! Because since Geppetto is a nice man in the story of Pinocchio, instead, we should name him. Stromboli! The abusive puppeteer from the story!
It amazes me that I haven't saw any FNAF crossover, specially because of Bonnie/Robbie. Jesus christ, even their names.
It amazes me that I haven't saw any FNAF crossover, specially because of Bonnie/Robbie. Jesus christ, even their names.
Well, there is at least one piece of fan art. I think it's been linked in this thread before but I'm sure not going to dig through 200+ pages to find the post, so here it is.
He still had some of his frontal lobe, the Bite of '87 victim lost his entire frontal lobe.
which was a child, and people COULD come out of a Vegetative state depending on the injury and how young they be (younger folks have a better chance coming out of it). Also its alleged it was their entire frontal lobe, and no real info is there stating it was the lost of an entire frontal lobe.
Why is phone guy talking in the trailer? Was this discussed yet?
Why is phone guy talking in the trailer? Was this discussed yet?
Same VA, its scott...again Remember Scott doesnt like other folks working with em on this
i figured phoneguy was stuffed in the golden freddy suit, cause it makes the same scream before his final words
Same VA, its scott...again Remember Scott doesnt like other folks working with em on this
Plus there's no way to tell whether the voice will actually be part of the game or the line was just intended as a joke to open the trailer. On another note, I sure hope Freddy (any version) is still the main antagonist/threat. IMHO it would kind of suck if he took a backseat to these newer characters since his name is on the restaurant and the game.
Same VA, its scott...again Remember Scott doesnt like other folks working with em on this
No that's dumb, he's got the same tone and dialect, style and all.
So, all the bots have "personalities" for their AIs, right? Bonnie rummages through one half of the place while Chica covers the other half. They're also the only ones to gawk at you from the doorways. Then there's Freddy who sits on his ass on the stage until after a while of watching the amateurs go at it, creeping up with almost no warning when the player's not expecting; best bet is to close the door when he's seen on a particular camera. Foxy is simplest in a way; don't look at his crib too seldom, but don't do it too much either, but for gods sake, have a peep sometime. A particularly good example of "doing it with moderation".
Here's a great "human" Foxy 2.0...and to be honest, it's no less creepy than the original thing. [T]https://38.media.tumblr.com/3735edc7b247248662b1b07fccc899a3/tumblr_ne9lg2qwjM1r52faio5_1280.jpg[/T] by xharuki
Ready for more RL animatronic horror? This is the factory/warehouse where the Showbiz animatronics were manufactured. After the restaurant company severed ties in 1990, the guy who owned the animatronics company shut it down and left everything as it was. He sometimes gives tours, where someone snapped these pics. The endoskeletons and the empty masks are scarier than the animatronic themselves.
Oh, man, Jubilee and Bob look so chill.

About the vid... I notice the moose and bison head in the video are the same ones with their faces drooling off in the pictures. Creepy. Fechter seems to be a nice, dedicated, smart guy but a terrible businessman.
