Five Nights at Freddy's. The indie horror game where animatronics from a pizzaria try to murder you
Important question
How come after surviving the first night your guy goes home and thinks "Yes. This paycheck is totally worth it" and goes back?
Edit: I seriously can't even watch a video of this fucking game. Mascots and Animatronics have always scared me since I was little, and this seems specifically designed to kill me.
Can't argue with $4 an hour.

Honestly, I think with the hallucinations you start suffering later on and the fact that you keep going back that something seems to be inclining your character to continue to return there. After all, the guard before you tried going through enough nights himself and look where that got him. I also think the bodies inside the animatrons might still be vaguely alive to some strange degree judging by the rumors of 'pained breathing' if you're still on your camera while they're in the room with you.

It's the 80s man, 4 dollars an hour is hot shit.

Answers may vary depending on your suspension of disbelief.
Most basic one is "Because there wouldn't be four other nights plus bonus nights if he didn't come back. Therefore, no game."
A more in-universe explanation would be that he doesn't know how much he's getting paid exactly, and is holding out because he gets only gets paid if he works there for all 5 days of the business week. Probably assumes he's getting a shitload of money for all the crap he's going through, only to find out it's a measly $120.
Maybe this is the only job the protagonist can keep.
I could also stream this, if anyone would want that. I only have the demo though.

Maybe its a binding contract? Or something.
I think the jumbled audio doesn't actually say anything coherent, because I remember the first part being an arcade sound effect in Postal 2 that also sounded like gibberish when reversed.

Plus having to keep an eye on voracious and misshapen animal-like monsters that only come out at night is great experience for a job at Walmart.

Does Walmart help you file a missing person report with in 90 days?
Freddy Fazzbear does.

It's been more than 20 years since the bite incident in 1987, it's at least 2008.
I can already imagine Spike and Barley playing it together.
Have they made a video of this yet?
I asked spike and he said he has too many games atm.
In '87, $4 had the buying power of $8.39. That's the current hourly wage of a McDonald's fry cook. If the game takes place any time after '87, $4 is worth even less.
Because as we all know, the best Pizza Places are just a fucking military cover-up waiting to happen.

I misheard the first day's recording. The animatronics have been running for over 20 years, and the bite thing happened in '87.
Additionally, the pizzeria is going to close this year (the year the game is set in).
That's all of the timeline as far as I know.

Gotta love inflation

Doesn't mean it's been twenty years since the bite.
Does anyone know if the news paper clippings have any dates on them? Besides for the kidnapping and stuff. We know the place is closing at the end of the year and it's Nov 13th, so it's getting close.

the obnoxiously tinny high levels are what make it harder to make out

Well not anymore. He is taking requests for AI from the chat though.

Yes, that's what I said. We know it's at least 1988 because he wouldn't call it "the bite of 87" if it happened this year.

oh wait, the game is in 1987, duh
then it's $8.39

Is it true that you can entirely avoid seeing Foxy at all by just not looking at Pirate's Cove?

Only on day 6 I believe.

also the bite of '87 could mean the animatronics had already began declining with age already, so 87 wasn't anywhere near when the place opened nor when your work takes place
Chuck-e-Cheese had originally opened in 1977 (Pizza Time Theater Restaurant), meaning if the 20 year mark was precise and the correlation to the real location is a direct reference, this was in 1997 at the earliest

Twitch can't load the chat. Excellent service.
Jesus christ, sometimes the sign in front of the Pirate's Cove becomes "IT'S ME!"
