The very existence of the old animatronics in this one honestly Like it doesn't make any sense that they'd completely discard the new ones that looked better and had better features and instead keep the ones that were shit in the first place, even with budget cuts
[sp]The ending of night six explicitly said that's exactly what happened. http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20141111213120/freddy-fazbears-pizza/images/7/7c/Night_6.png[/sp]
The paycheck says 11-12-1987... today is 11-11-2014. I wonder if something will happen tomorrow relating to that date.
All copies of the game receive an update. And that update makes crap go down.

So, addressing the theory that [sp]the killer was a security guard—not necessarily you or Mike specifically[/sp]. 1. We already have Scott's confirmation about the roles of Phone Guy and/or Mike. 2. As per TV Tropes: "[sp]In the cake mini-game he seemingly kills someone, in another he's there when Foxy runs into a room of dead kids, and he can also appear in the Marionette chase wearing a badge. The last one suggests the purple man was a security guard, or posing as one[/sp]" (here's the relevant image). 3. Also as per TV Tropes, "[sp]It is implied someone is tampering with the animatronics beforehand, which explains their aggression...although, theories suggest that it's the Marionette that's tampering with them[/sp]. . .". Therefore, [sp]the animatronics want to kill all security guards because they saw one killing kids[/sp]. That being said, there's a few lingering questions: 1. Why didn't the newspaper clippings in FNAF mention that [sp]the killer was an employee[/sp]? (Admittedly, [sp]the man in purple might have either been an impostor or working as a guard somewhere else and just kept the uniform on[/sp].) 2. A question of timeline—when exactly did the murders happen? Having them occur before the events of either game would work best. 3. What is the significance, if any, of the Bite of '87? How did it happen? Also, what exactly happened? [sp]We've been assuming the victim was a child, but what if it wasn't? Maybe an animatronic bit the guard working the day shift because he had his security guard uniform on. Phone Guy said the new guard would work the day shift for the party[/sp]…oh crap… 4. Probably the biggest question: [sp]How did the marionette become animate in the first place, and what is its nature[/sp]?
I don't trust [sp]Fritz.[/sp]
[sp]I actually think Fritz was the victim of the Bite of '87, but didn't murder the kids. The animatronics just go after any security guard because they think they're all bad (seems like kid logic to me)…oh, man, maybe the souls of the children actually ARE in the animatronics, and the haunting isn't just "haunting" in quotes, like Scott answered that one e-mail with.[/sp]
I don't trust [sp]Fritz.[/sp]
[sp]I found that ending hilarious.[/sp]
I'm starting to get a lot of ARG vibes from the whole FNAF series. Especially with the whole 8-bit thing.
I'm starting to get a lot of ARG vibes from the whole FNAF series. Especially with the whole 8-bit thing.
It's viral marketing for the next Transformers movie. The animatronics are the new Decepticons, and the robots bit Sam Witwicky's mom in '87, explaining why she's such a ditz.
Alright, here's a list of things that confirms it's a prequel: 1. Chica's appearance in FN@F2 is inconsistent with her appearance in FN@F1, why would her jaw go from a small beak to a massive beak? same with Foxy, in 2 his teeth are sharper and he has more of them, in 1 he doesn't have as much. 2. in the night 6 phone call, PG explains that a suit has gone missing, specifically, a yellow one. In the first game we learn that a guy dressed up in a Freddy suit and lured 5 kids to the pizzeria and murdered them. you are then moved to the day shift to keep a close eye on the animatronics, that is when the bite happens. 3. going back to point 1, in the night 6 paycheck picture, we find out that the restaurant is closing and the new animatronics scrapped due to malfunctions, and the old ones saved to be used later. which would explain why Chica (specifically) and Foxy look a little more child friendly than they do in FN@F2.

I find it very amazing. Scott threw us off guard and made us think this was going to be a sequel. When infact it's all pointing at a Prequel. Scott you cheeky cheeky bugger you.

Fritz was fired, too. The fact he was fired right away for tampering with the bots is what makes him seem like a likely candidate for something suspicious.[/sp]

Didn't Phone Guy say the player was supposed to work the day shift, though, or am I remembering wrong?[/sp]
Now that I think about it. [sp]There are three pizzerias. Fazbear's Family Diner is presumably the first, the one in 2 is the second and the one in FNAF is the third one.[/sp] If we put Phone Guy's line about the old building into perspective: [sp]The Diner "Uh, now, I want you to forget anything you may have heard about the old location, you know. Uh, some people still have a somewhat negative impression of the company. Uh... that old restaurant was kind of left to rot for quite a while."[/sp] This is where a lot of people get confused, people think the one he's talking about is the one from FNAF but solid evidence of the [sp]check and ending of night 6 proves the third pizzeria hasn't opened or at least not shown up[/sp] Now what about the old and broken up animatronics? [sp]The old animatronics were probably made a LONG time ago when Fazbear's Diner opened. We can assume the management wanted to go for a kid friendly theme and made the "Toy" line after the Diner closed down. The old animatronics were left to decay for a little while until the second closed down and that's where they decided to scrap the new ones and repair the older models.[/sp] Why am I empathizing about the [sp]Diner so much? Because it's most likely the source for all the conflict within the restaurants.[/sp] We still don't know why the company has such a poor reputation [sp]and this was before the Bite of 87' and the kidnapping, what happened before those events? The animatronics in general were still haunted even before FNAF2 started.[/sp] If there will ever be a sequel or maybe another prequel the [sp]Diner will be the most likely place to go to.[/sp] Whatever happened in the [sp]Diner[/sp] guys, we could be in some deepest branches of the Freddy Saga.
This thread is covered in so many black bars its starting to look like an SCP article :v:
[sp]Phone guy mentions he always liked Foxy as a kid, so he must've been to the last incarnation of the place a couple of times. However, he can't remember the exact name of the diner. That means that there's probably a restaurant between the diner and the one in 2.[/sp] I don't know what that means for a potential third game, just something to consider.
I haven't seen anyone else bring this up yet. Just a small bit of brilliance I noticed in the game. You know how those post-death minigames look like Atari 2600 games? Fun fact, Atari founder Nolan Bushnell also founded... [sp]Chuck E. Cheese's[/sp]
This thread is covered in so many black bars its starting to look like an SCP article :v:
Actually it takes me back to when Bioshock Infinite was released.
[sp]So if the second diner shut-down after the bite of 1987, then why would they bother rebuilding Pirate's Cove in the third establishment if all they were gonna do was leave Foxy to lie in disrepair?[/sp]

Oh cool this is the most popular thread on facepunch right now.
Actually it takes me back to when Bioshock Infinite was released.
Five nights of Freddy's: infinite You play as Mike DeSchmitt. Detective hired to figure out whose behind the murders at a local pizza and arcade joint. His only clue is some mysterious recordings left by a former night watch guard. [sp]There's always a Arcade. There's always a guard.[/sp] [sp]There's always someone who wants to fuck the fox[/sp]
