Five Nights at Freddy's. The indie horror game where animatronics from a pizzaria try to murder you
With the game over screen, why does Freddy have eyes out of his socket?
If you listen, on the first night where the guy explains what'll happen if they catch you, he actually says something like "All that's left is the eyes and teeth" before quickly moving on.
Someone should mod the game so that the animatrons are all suicide bombers and instead of just screaming they shout "ALLAHU ACKBAR" and explode. The game over screen is an exploded building.

It was so close.
Seriously thank you for everyone that showed up, it was fun and the chat seemed much more relaxed then others that ive been in with the Facepunch Community. If we do something like this again, i'll think about shouting out to you guys when Joe is streaming.
I'd assume the fox jumped out at the last second? 1987 is rigged and the fox WILL jump out the left door at the last seconds 99/100 times if you don't have it closed. The duck will get you if you look at your cameras as well.
Freddy and his pals are not your ordinary 80's robotic performers. They have to be something else.
It's implied that part of the reasons for the strange eyes, the internal teeth on the frames and the screaming is because they're people stuffed and gored into the suits much like what they do to you. Other factors like their aggression, seeming sentience, how they still scream despite being gored and otherwise is left up to ambiguous spookiness.
I've also realised: What if that recording isn't just the last guy? What if there have literally been dozens of people before you, and they've just all been horrible maimed/tortured before the 7th night, and you're just the first to make it that far? After all, he says at one point "You've made it this far, so congratulations!", so I'm guessing he wasn't expecting you just to be the next guy along..
Now hold on just a moment. This is supposed to take place in what year? I know this is just a video game but I would like to point a few things out.
These animatronics can move, freely, without any visible source of power or cords coming out of the back of them. They can also move unbelievably fast. Who built these, Skynet? Disney has just started making free roam animatronics, but they still require a large power source to be towed behind the character. Most current day animatronics move slowly and very, well... robotic.

This reminds me of when I went to Disney World as a kid and there was a trash can on wheels moving around demanding that people give it trash in Tomorrow Land.
There was also a palm tree on wheels squirting people with water at the entrance to Animal Kingdom.
Do the stars on the menu mean anything?
I'm not sure how anyone could beat 20/20/20/20. Shit looks impossible.
Do the stars on the menu mean anything?
Completion status. First star means you beat all 5 normal days, second star means that you beat the secret, ultra-hard 6th day.
People are speculating about the existence of a third star, since there seems to be enough space left over to the right of the other two, but no one has found out if it exists or how to get it yet.

Likely something to do with the seventh day and the kitchen.
I don't know if anyone has yet, but I'm uploading all the phone recordings for those who don't want to bother to download the sound files. If someone has, tell me so I can cancel this upload. :v:

I saw someone have their game glitch and none of the animatronics showed up throughout the night. So you could win by breaking the game somehow.

After watching Bigbugz stream, I think it is possible but there is a lot of RNG at play
Would it have the same ending as if one set the difficulty to all 0's?

Well, here it is anyways - for those who don't want to download sounds, watch playthroughs of people talking, etc.
In the trailer, one of the robots pulled it's mask off pretty easily. Pull that off and stomp on it. I know I'm being picky but I often think 'why don't you do this?', such as 'Why don't you just hide under or behind something? They'd still be trying to find you, so they wouldn't escape but you'd be fairly safe. I'm sorry but Foxy looks like his skeleton could be crushed by a cheese board
so your solution is to fight off robots who may or may not bite your frontal lobe off, take off their masks and, after you've somehow managed to bring down these 4 metal machines that are as big as a human, stomp on them
yea sure
I'm still confused about how you're killed. Let's assume this guy is over 20 so he's got decent strength? If a fucking bear in a weird hat jumped at you, PUNCH THAT MOFO? Did it bite your hand off? Better your hand than your life. Also, do they all try to shove you in the suit or do they have super strength and can rip your limbs off? If the latter, I can see why the place was shut down.
Their actual robotic frame is pretty thin too. There is no way that frame could handle moving like that with current tech. Not to mention, it wouldn't be very strong either. It should be very easy to overpower these guys.
The eyes, the ones behind the plastic or painted light bulbs, the beady glowing red dot. Those are definitely not there for aesthetics, because that's what the suits are for. Those eyes are something else. Same goes with the teeth, why does the frame have a set of teeth when the suit has it's own set of teeth built in?
Why do they scream when they finally get to you. Why do they even have a screaming sound at all? The only reason may be for some parts in their songs where they need to go to a higher pitch. That would suggest they have a very high intelligence and can pick out which sound cues to use.

imagine being a night security guard at disney world being hunted by beloved movie franchises

Bonnie or Chica blocking the door is the real run killer.
That rabbits killcam makes it look like a hippo for some reason
It amuses me that the thing you're upset with is not that they can brutally murder the character and stuff him/her into an animatronic suit, but that the power source isn't visible as they do it.
Don't get me wrong, this game is scary and I'm spooked solid. I love the game's concept because I've never anything like this before. I had only just thought of these things because these meant be stage performers. That's why they're so damn testifying to me. They are not normal. It's bad when the robots come and try to kill you. It's even worse when they are literally just murder bots.
I can't even get past day 1 without turning the game off in utter fear.

I played day 1 like it was day 6 and nothing popped out yet I still couldn't bring myself to play day 2.
Scratch that.

Has anyone tried running without using the cameras? You'd save a lot of power. Even with the Fox spawning you can hear it run down the hall giving you ample time to shut the door. Would like to see this attempt.
I may have a cycle to stop trigger Freddie on 20 without letting Bonnie stuck door, but I'm consistently losing it at 5 because blocking the rabbit allows Freddie on best case scenario to still charge. I'm going to give up for the day, there doesn't seem to be any way I can do it so far because I still can't predict Freddie's loop to delay him 1 more hour after all this time. Hopefully someone else can succeed and see if there's a hidden ending.

No camera doesnt work because camera IS the stop trigger for the wanderers. The main issue isn't running out of power, but avoiding stuck door while herding the wanderers.

No. If you don't use the camera you can't hear the fox at all.
