Five Nights at Freddy's. The indie horror game where animatronics from a pizzaria try to murder you
[sp]Hell, we might get a Desolate Hope link between the two. That would be hilariously cool.[/sp]
[sp]I can assure you that it is impossible to link FNAF's backstory with TDH's, but it would be neat. Scott seems to have "forgotten" TDH (and his previous games) and is entirely focused on FNAF now.[/sp]
After all, there's no surprise. FNAF is a huge success and he's ready to milk the franchise as much as he can.
Hmm, this sounds like it could be interesting now, I doubt anybody expected this. And people are surprised that he announced the third already? Didn't he announce the second not too long after the first came out as well?

FNAF 2 was announced a few weeks (if not a month... I may be wrong) after the first game came out. But, the "offline" picture (not with the 3, the one with "until next time" at the bottom left) had been put on the website the day after FNAF 2 came out. The "3" appeared sooner than the FNAF 2 hint.
I hope the developer learns a lesson from having released Freddy's 2 way too early.
I doubt it. As far as I can tell FN@F's 2 did perfectly well in terms of popularity and sales.
Which is a shame in a way, because I really don't want to see the franchise run into the ground by it's own developer so soon. Scott must have made a decent amount of money by now, surely he can afford to take the extra time to make something truly exceptional.
Feels like one final standoff between Freddy and the Night guard, he could do some interesting stuff with this.
If it's just Freddy and the Guard, then there's definitely going to be a stronger paranormal twist in 3. Unless Freddy rolls around at the speed of sound from Night 1, there's going to have to be some distraction or diversion to get the player to lose.
FNaF3 is actually Terminator Genisys
If Scott releases FNaF 3 this year. I will call him successfull EA :v:

I'm pretty sure he heard our complaints that he released it too early, so hopefully he'll take his time this time and release it in a few months. Who knows, though- he works really quickly on this kind of stuff, and with only one bot (assumingly) would limit the work, who knows?
The question is: who is this one that is left? Sure it could be Freddy, but let's not forget about everyone else.
Maybe Freddy Fazbear Pizzeria has only one chance left to not screw up, or be once again successful.
I predict February or early March for a release date.

It wouldn't make too much sense if Freddy wasn't the star of Five Night's At Freddy's.
...what if only one is active during the night, and it's pretty much random? Some days you'll get foxy, sometimes you'll get Bonnie, and so on. That would make it pretty interesting, I'd say.

That's actually a really well-drawn Freddy.

he's seriously only being held back by the engine he uses at this point, it seems.
It's like Scott gets a new engine used for the 3rd game, and has it be real-time 3D, but animatronics pull off the same "won't move if you see me" crap until halfway through night two. Then you have to ACTUALLY use the cameras because the animatronics may take their sweet time moving for you, or just try to ambush you by running.
What if Scott was watching us this very second..?
Probably not a Facepunch person, but he's probably checking up on tumblr and whatnot. He probably knows that we've noticed the hidden words and the three, and by next week we'll probably have another teaser.
So I finally listened to that second FN@F song.
I feel like this guy writes his lyrics by reading a rhyming dictionary. It feels REALLY unnatural.
If you're talking about the Living Tombstone, I think he's Israeli, so English might not be his first language.
It just feels so weird that a 3rd game is possibly coming already.
I would be lying if i said i wasnt even a little hype to see what he does. Even if it didn't take a long time, fn@f2 was still very good looking and well made, at least visually. And he changed the formula itself considerably, what with the doors, music box, and flashlight.
I haven't played this game, but why do you have to look at the cameras? Why not just close the doors and wait?
there's a power system. run out of power and you get a beary nice surprise.
I don't like the music box, though. In fact, the system of cameras is completely flawed as a game element. Once the game gets the difficulty picked up, it forces you to not use the camera, except for winding the music box. The pace is insane enough that a main mechanic of the game becomes detrimental to progress.
Either the game needs to be less, you know, butt-poundingly fast and difficult, or Scott needs to devise gameplay that actually works with such a quick pace.

GAME ATMOSPHERE ANALYSIS WHEE
I agree. The new characters, namely Mangle really boosted up the creep factor for me.
The feeling of being terrifyingly vulnerable to attack from all sides.
I think the three visions that have gripped my heart the most:
1) Giant Golden Freddy head at end of hallway
2) Floating dark Bonnie
3) Any of the old animatronics inside your doorway (your sanctum of safety)
I think FNAF1 worked on a subtler form of terror than FNAF2 did.
Nothing made me more helpless than Bonnie or Chica silently appearing in my doorways, or camping out right behind my doors, glitching out like the assholes they are.
FNAF1 worked on your paranoia of different noises and movements. The glitching cameras that made you more panicked when they were your lifeline. And the goddamn demonic voices and visions.
FNAF2 works on a more immediate and overwhelming form of terror (in grinding a music-box). The right here/right now form of exasperated PANIC. FNAF2 changes up the priorities of the gamer.
In FNAF1, if you hesitated too long on an animatronic at the door, U DED. In the second one, you usually have time to wind up the music-box a bit before any visible robots are an issue. It's a different rhythm.
You don't feel as claustrophobic because the pizzeria is that much bigger and more complex. In FNAF1 you felt much more funneled and immediate in your imminent death. In FNAF2 it's an overwhelming sense of helplessness.
I wonder what game mechanics and atmosphere Scott will produce in the third one. If it's 30 years on from FNAF2, that makes it 2010's right? Maybe you are now mobile, surveillencing the building at night actively (because the robot can disable the cameras an you have to go fix them or something)... And there's a Golden Freddy in there with you. And he can hide. Anywhere.
If it's bite of '86, then that means it's 2016 if I'm not mistaken.

I take the 'offline' as meaning all the cameras are going to be offline, or perhaps the offline-ness of the cameras is a prominent game mechanic D:
MAYBE THIS TIME THE ANIMATRONIC IS WATCHING YOU. And you can only move when he isn't watching.
or it could be a hint at when the cameras go offline in the game, which signifies when the animatronics change and move around
Wait, if it's 30 years later, what about the diner? What happened there?
[sp]Unless Scott means he will release the game in 30 years[/sp]
Now he's changed it to 'only one'.
Last night I had a dream where all the animatrons were fucking huge and old. I accidentally repaired freddy and all of his suit fell off to reveal this:

then some other random shit happened and I woke up. :v:
