Five Nights at Freddy's. The indie horror game where animatronics from a pizzaria try to murder you
why the hell would any of these characters you guys are suggesting take a job that pays 4 dollars an hour when they could murder aliens or whatever and earn 120 dollars in like a minute
new condition: they have to be able to survive, but also be poor enough to need 4 dollars an hour.
Alright let's face it. Still Subject Delta.
Imagine for a second he survives the end of Bioshock 2, now Eleanor can probably get a nice, high-paying job cause she's smart as fuck, but who the hell would hire a brutally disfigured man who will die if he leaves his augmented diving suit, smells like wet dog and salt-water, and talks in moans and grunts. Probably the same place that refuses to dish out some cash to repair their semi-advanced animatronics, or pay slightly more on the electric bill when said animatronics go into "murder your shit," mode.
So once again, Subject Delta.
I'll sound like a bloody woobie, but, judging only from some screenshots, I was able to overcome Outlast and its the Whistlebowler DLC, but I WON'T be able to overcome this
Outlast was more 'weirdness in a fked up asylum', not 'KILLER CREEPY ROBOTS'. Then again, I would love to see how Frank or Eddie would react to the animatronics.
So I'm sure this is a known problem but I can't find anything on google, mostly because its difficult to put into words and it doesn't come out in a screencap
I'm getting this weird, red dotty graphic effect when I play. similar to what happens when you try to play older games like fallout or diablo on windows vista and up, except its just red. Has anyone experienced this and know how to fix it? It's pretty jarring.
Try disabling Aero, or temporarily kill explorer.exe while playing
[editline]17th August 2014[/editline]
It could also be a resolution issue

Yeah, first thing I did was try disabling aero. I tried killing explorer.exe while I played but that didn't help.
I've poked around for a way to change the res but as far as I'm aware that's not possible.
Anyone got a link of someone streaming this? Everyone I knew who was streaming it isn't now.

Okay, so it's night time, and the animatronics are up to their tricks again. Bonnie moves up to a camera and starts taking off her face, but no satisfying scent of fear and horror drifts up from the security room. As the robots shamble closer to the control room, they notice that not only are both doors shut, but some kind of weird muffled rock music can be heard pounding through the doors. Annoyed, Chica raps on the window.
A bright light blasts out from the security room windows, and the little power that remains suddenly drains away to nothing. The doors fly open, and the music blares out clearly: "Yet staring across this barren, wasted land, I feel new life could be born beneath the bloodstained saanndd!". Framed in the doorway is the huge eight-foot figure of Colorado Senator Steven Armstrong, utterly broke from his assets being seized by Maverick Security Consulting Inc. and his remaining funds going towards buying a new artifical heart, pissed beyond words.
"PLAYED COLLEGE BALL, YA KNOW" bellows Armstrong, so loud his nanomachine armor reflexively covers his face, turning it into a metal death mask to rival the animatronic's own. Chica stares back at him for a second, then her own head promptly explodes as her processor overloads trying to decide whether Armstrong is an endoskeleton or a human. "MIGHT MAKES RIGHT!" yells Armstrong again, bursting from the security room, flames shooting from his hands, flaring like miniature suns in the dark corridor. Blinded, disoriented by the overpoweringly loud buttrock emanating from the control room, Foxy's optic sensors fail to pick up the awe-inspiring sight of the Senator raising Chica's headless chassis over his shoulders and hurling it at him, sending him and Chica flying into the wall, where they crumple on the floor like scrap metal.
The next morning, the owners of Freddy's Pizza return to discover their security guard gone, a huge charred man-shaped hole in the front door the only sign he had been there. Inside, all that remained of Chica and Foxy were a pile of animatronic eyes and components on the floor. Bonnie was sat down in a dim corner, plastic eyes rolling in their sockets, metal teeth violently chattering as if in terror, and no amount of adjustments to her programming could make her move again. And as for Freddy, there he was inside the security booth, cleaved in half at the waist, as if some unstoppable force had broken him in two.

Just another day for the postal dude
one problem, i think people need hearts to live
barney cant even fuckin survive pizza
pizza is the LEAST DANGEROUS THING IN THIS GAME
I doubt that in Freddie's there's batshit insane, mute sciencist wanting you to follow him into sudden death by unanimate objects, so i still think that Barney would do well :v:
also did you ever saw any pizza in the Security office? I doubt, because everyone knows that old pizza is all security guards weakness, it's like cryptonite for superman
Couple things I would change for a sequel/update
1. Have the animatrons yell garbled versions of what they would normally say during the day, instead of just EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Chica yelling "HAP-HAP-HAPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE BIRTH-HAPEE DAY" or some shit.
Make Foxy yell "SHIVER ME TIMBERS" and you win.
Better yet, have them yell different things each time.
2. Have the windows you see them through be in front of the doors, so they can be seen through both the window and the door
3. More jerky convulsing. These are old, shoddy servos. They're bound to catch and jerk now and then.
4. Sit the player closer to the wall in front of them, so they can only see one door/window at a time. Increase the turn speed so you can whip around just in time to see Foxy lean in and end your shit.
5. More movement in general. We know they can move. No need for them to be frozen when we spot them with our cams. Have them slowly turn to look at the camera, or wave, or jerk around and convulse. Better yet, have them start off motionless and randomly teleporting, but the more nights you stay, the more "friendly" they get.
6. A "Zombie" Animatron, which doesn't have any legs and is hard to see because it crawls around on the ground. Leaves a trail of "oil" behind it and has a scraping and dragging effect that can be heard for a long time. Could be a Monkey type. Screaming chimps are creepy as fuck.
7. Show us what happened to Previous Guard. Let us see him in his new suit on display in the Party Room on Night 5.

Well, he didn't die on night 4, so he should be there since night 1.

Let me show you my Carfax
Well, he didn't die on night 4, so he should be there since night 1.
If the recordings actually are set up by Freddy, wouldn't it be more scary to hear the guy get murdered, THEN see his corpse stuffed into a suit?
I am so embarrassed, I couldn't get past the phone call on night 1 so I just idled till the night was over, now I can't idle on night 2 cause of Foxy, and now I am still too scared to get past the phone call.
I really want to beat this so I can get over my fear of the game and to get to the Night 7 mode.
Any suggestions?

Are we sure he didn't? I was under the impression that this place doesn't close at midnight and he was working (and making his recordings during) the shift before yours.

Just read that the screams when you get caught, is actually you and not the animatronics.
Am I the only one here who finds Yellow Freddy or Golden Freddy or whatever he's called REEEALLY creepy? Like, I can handle all the other guys, but once I see Golden Freddy I just flip my shit. There's something about him that's just... blood-curdling.

Probably because you don't see him at all till he is infront of you, and it's not mentioned in the game.

At least you can tell him to fuck off by using the tablet and switching camera
Are we sure he didn't? I was under the impression that this place doesn't close at midnight and he was working (and making his recordings during) the shift before yours.
I don't really see that. Presumably you'd have at least run in to him while changing shifts, and after his death I'd think you'd be coming in to at least some amount of blood, and that he has to get out while they'd still be hunting him, and you'd be getting in while they're on the prowl. And since he lost power on Day 4, you'd come in to no power on that day as well. I'm pretty sure he was your predecessor, probably far better at the job than you. But on his last day he realized they had gotten too smart and aggressive and he knew he'd most likely lose power. So he decided to record his messages presumably as a way to both warn you away if possible but at least prepare you for the job. And either he found a way to queue up each one to play each day, they were recorded as separate tapes or messages labelled for each day, or you are just playing them up to the end of each day.
You know how in the trailer of the game where they suddenly face the camera?
Well that happened to me, mainly with Freddy.

I bet the Courier would do it. If he managed to travel back in time to 1987, he should still have his equipment, including sweet, sweet power armor. In most playthroughs he's killed at least a couple hundred people, destroyed many, many robots and was one of the main reasons why the NCR/Legion took over Nevada, or the sole reason why House/Himself took over the place. Some stupid animatronics in a shitty pizzaria wouldn't be a problem, right? RIGHT?
This might have already been mentioned but since this thread is going at the speed of light and I just woke up, there's a t-shirt:

Just noticed a difference between the one I saw in game and the trailer one.

^Trailer. v In-Game.

Dunno if it is the game or just bad lighting or something, also I noticed in the trailer that in the hallway after "Limited Visibility", there is light behind Bonnie, how come that isn't in game?

There's plenty of stuff in the trailer that isn't in the game. Like the scene with the animatronics during the daytime, the light in the hallway behind Bonnie, and Bonnie running. Also, removal of the mask, and probably more things I missed

Actually the daytime scene, pretty sure that was just for the trailer.
