I've never seen something go viral in front of my very eyes, it's pretty interesting.
[QUOTE=TurboSax;45730632]I also don't get why so many people who play the game for the first time for videos/streams yell, "WUHH, WHAT DO I DO?!!??!" over the phone guy [I]clearly telling you how things work[/I]. Open your ears, and give that nice, empty cavity in your skull some fresh air. I mean, I suppose this guy probably isn't that bad at all in most cases, and he's probably just not so good with horror games. But watching him play this so awfully and with such a shitty mindset made my blood boil from sheer annoyance.[/QUOTE] I can't tell you how frustrating it is seeing EVERY goddamn streamer start out, staring into their camera and closing the doors, wasting a good 30% battery by 1am, audibly asking "WHAT'S THIS POWER USAGE WHY'S MY POWER GOING DOWN???" whilst making loud commentary over the phonecall's important parts, then asking what's up with every facet of the game like they've never even heard of it before
[QUOTE=Doomish;45730593]Of course not, they don't wait till you're dead to do that, silly.[/QUOTE] this thread's title is very deceiving then thanks caboose
[QUOTE=TurboSax;45730632]I don't get why FN@F seems to be a magnet for people with no concept of how to play horror games, who make stupid noises and go "THIS AIN'T SCARY, HURRHURR". No shit it won't scare you, if you make idiotic noises and flail like a moron the whole time instead of letting it grab your attention for a single goddamn second. Can't stand that shit. I know that to a certain extent people watch streams or LPs for the person playing, but what they forget is that people mostly watch to see that person PLAY the game, not babble on and on with a game being ignored in the background.

I can't wait to get Windows back so I can get Sai back and do my own artwork for this game. Seeing really cool art like this has got me inspired. late but cute [t]http://s13.postimg.org/fm344m8xj/tumblr_nahf9962a_B1rebv06o1_1280.png[/t]
[QUOTE=elixwhitetail;45730577]Just going to mention that this was posted about six weeks ago. now I'm not ready for Freddy OR LMAO Pics FUCK[/QUOTE] that was actually really cute
I wanna see the roles reversed in a mod, so instead of Animatronics running the place, you play as Freddy/Foxy/Chico/Bonnie hiding in the security room in fear of a Security Guard, who thinks the place is being robbed.
[QUOTE=zeldar;45730582]So if you lose and the animatronics get to you they just stuff your dead remains inside another animatronic?[/QUOTE] no silly, its actually easier to shove a still alive body kicking and screaming all the way into the back room and shove them into the spare.
[QUOTE=dai;45730748]I can't tell you how frustrating it is seeing EVERY goddamn streamer start out, staring into their camera and closing the doors, wasting a good 30% battery by 1am, audibly asking "WHAT'S THIS POWER USAGE WHY'S MY POWER GOING DOWN???" whilst making loud commentary over the phonecall's important parts, then asking what's up with every facet of the game like they've never even heard of it before[/QUOTE] I'm thoroughly convinced that the majority of game streamers who start playing games like FN@F blind for an audience have somehow never played a video game before. The sheer amount of ignorance and non-observance these kinds of people display is astounding, especially for people whose entire livelihoods depend on being able to play video games. Looking around the screen, paying attention to in-game hints/info dumps/dialogues, and generally putting things together to form conclusions using basic logic are [B]not[/B] hard. Not at all. The only logical way you can play video games for a living and be [B]that[/B] ignorant of how video games tend to work on a baseline level, from what I can tell, is to be thoroughly broken mentally from having every single thing spoon-fed to you by loyal viewers. When I first saw this game, and watched some videos and streams of it, I put two-and-two together regarding game mechanics fairly quickly. Doors keep something out, lights show something in the dark, cameras show areas you can't directly see, you have limited power, and usage rate for power goes up as you have more shit in use at once. Therefore, plan and act carefully, and know when/how to use each tool, or you're boned. I am a complete idiot who is shit at video games, and even I figured that out pretty fast. If someone who actually does this shit for a living can't figure it out faster than I, an average moron who plays video games just for fun can, something is very wrong. As always, there's exceptions, so don't take this rant as an insult against somebody you like watching. The people I'm talking about are pretty much universally hated by people who hang around this kind of site anyways.

You guys excited for the sequel? I wonder what it's gonna be about, the creator looks like someone who could have a lot of interestingly creepy ideas
Welp finally found a game that's fucked with me. Animatronics have given me nightmares ever sense I was a little kid and this game has completely demolished me. I get super uneasy at night because of it, and when I shut everything off to sleep I end up just staring at my doorway. It totally doesn't help I live in a apartment that's filled with night owls who are loud as hell so I hear people running around the halls at night. "Oh I know I just won't go to the threads anymore that'll clean my mind." but nope friends keep linking me to fanart and pictures for some reason so I'm goin nuts. I need a shirt with "worlds biggest wuss" on it I swear. I've seen gameplay and I know how everything works and it still isn't helpin me.

A lot of streamers are more concerned with the video quality of their stream or their viewer count or chat that they only put half of their brain into the game. It's frustrating, but stupidly common.

So is it beginning to become cool to hate FN@F?
I havent even played this game yet and it hurt me physically. Jumped so hard at a video that my neck muscles got pulled
[QUOTE=KillerJaguar;45731120]So is it beginning to become cool to hate FN@F?[/QUOTE] It will only be cool to hate 5N@F if the sequel is shitty.
[QUOTE=KillerJaguar;45731120]So is it beginning to become cool to hate FN@F?[/QUOTE] No, why would you say that? the thread has been over LMAO pics for a few days now.
[QUOTE=Sift;45730982]Welp finally found a game that's fucked with me.[/QUOTE] I know I can still be uneasy too and it sounds like you have a deeper seated fear of the subject matter that existed before the game, but just try to remember a few things: 1. Either programming or possession makes them hate the security guard of the very specific premise for very specific reasons. Unless you live in a dilapidated security office of a pizzeria linked to murders that houses faulty robots, you shouldn't be concerned. 2. You have (for all intents and purposes) "infinite" power, so you don't need to worry about power the same way the game does. 3. The AI are shown to only be vicious for a six hour period. During any other time of the day they may still be disturbing to behold but they are not directly confrontational. 4. They cannot get through doors or windows, so you're fine as long as you shut your door. [B]Edit[/B] 5.This is a contrived scenario. If you were given full reign and survived the first night, you would either quit, call a mechanic to repair them, or burn the place down/hack apart the machines to destroy the paranormal activity. I know you've probably seen or heard this but I just wanted to put it out there because in general I have been kind of wondering "why does this freak me out it's a very specific scenario". [sp]It does though, especially when you run out of power and Freddy starts glowing and playing his song just outside the door. It's not necessarily the jump scare, just the tension leading too it.[/sp]
the broken [/quote] tag in the OP bothers me to no end
Watching bugz's 4/20 run made it seem far less like a horror game and more of a hardcore strategy game :v:
[QUOTE=WitheredGryphon;45731257]Watching bugz's 4/20 run made it seem far less like a horror game and more of a hardcore strategy game :v:[/QUOTE] Well it is a strategy game. On Steam Greenlight, Scott put it also as a strategy on tags.
[QUOTE=WitheredGryphon;45731257]Watching bugz's 4/20 run made it seem far less like a horror game and more of a hardcore strategy game :v:[/QUOTE] It's borderline tower defense.
Why does the op have so many dumbs? Was it originally something dumber, I don't remember.
