All of the games visual and audio files were extracted and uploaded (Download link one page back) and there's no dog there, so pretty much myth busted.

No problemo! An honestly the guy seems like he'd be the type to add stuff into a future update without telling anybody, so who knows what might be in the game in the future.

I kind of feel that making the sequel in the same place, but bought out by a new owner who has some idea of what's been going on, could probably work. They'd start phasing out some of the old stuff, which would leave it unavailable for the day but leaving you with a better version for the next one (Where they take away something even more important), leading up to [SP]night 6 where they try disabling and taking down the old animatronics and just end up pissing them off.[/SP]

I guess there's been some changes between July 9th and now, because starting on night 3 or 4 freddy leaves the stage and can sneak into your room.
Just got around to playing this. On one hand, it deserves credit for knowing what it is. People who complain about lack of things to do don't know how to appreciate simplicity. On the other hand it really wasn't very scary. I guess everyone talking about how terrifying it is gave me high expectations, but I've seen it compared to Amnesia and it doesn't even hold a candle.

I feel like the dev lied when mentioning Freddy because that way it'll come as more of a surprise to players who aren't aces at the game and end up seeing his post about the mechanics of the game

The whole game is based on not knowing information, so the dev lying about mechanics goes along with that.
Has he said anything after how popular it's been?
Also, this note by the creator about the posters with the backstory on them hints that the animatronics are haunted rather than just evil robots depending on your interpretation.

So, I've been watching this get popular while up in Michigan visiting my parents at their business.
This business is a hotel/marina/[B]pizzeria[/B].[sp]I'm not ready for Freddy.[/sp]
So there is a theory that the murders of the five children took place in the kitchen, and that is why the camera is always inactive there.

When freddy becomes active, around then you notice the other ones are becoming a bit more...erractic. Instead of just staring at the camera, chica stands with mouth wide open or head at a tilt. Bonnie is now more in the darkness and you notice it having the black eyes instead.
Other than that, the other change is how they get TO you as bonnie and chica would start working more in tandem (like bonnie would be at its usual door to only turn to have chica in the room). Many hypotheses on this is that Freddy is now directing bonnie and chica instead letting them go freely while he remain on the stage.

It's unnerving how one minute I can be looking at a picture of an evil chicken robot that sends fits of despair into my gut, and the next I'll see a bunch of pictures of the same evil chicken robot with a shapely figure in a pin-up pose.
