Five Nights at Freddy's. The indie horror game where animatronics from a pizzaria try to murder you
They already are. There's now a torrential downpour of people who said they pirated the game, got to night four on their first try without doing anything, and then quit out of boredom.
I don't know why horror games in particular do this but any one that gets traction simultaneously reenacts the 5 circles of hell when it becomes popular. Its been unilaterally praised, turned into a meme, had pornography made of it, accused of being something made for furries, condemned due to the creator's previous works, scoured for deeper meaning, condemned for having people on youtube play it/and/or/be an indie game, and now reasons are being conjured out of midair why its now mediocre all of a sudden.
Well it was fun while it lasted.
You'd think somebody at Freddy's would realize the massive fatal flaw of having roaming killer animatronics at night in a building with inadequate power management.
what? of course not, it's perfectly fine! hahaha! don't be a joker.
Why does it matter that popular youtubers are making videos of this? It's not a multiplayer game you're not gonna be affected by the big influx of kids playing it.
If you guys are that offended by internet memes and large numbers of people enjoying things then unplug your router.
I'm not sad or angry that the game is getting popular, I'm actually happy that the game is getting such publicity because it's an awesome game.
I mentioned the subs because it's going to cause a lot of publicity to come.

What is more, it will surely get greenlit now that youtubers are popularizing it. I'd personally rather have it on steam than desura.
So it's getting dark here, i'm home alone and i'm about to get into this game, the only info i got is the info on the greenlight page. [sp]Anyone wanna watch?[/sp]

seriously thought, someone gotta mod few sounds in that game.
I'm actually happy that this game is getting so popular so quickly.
I'd like to find out more about the game mechanics and the baddies' AI that'll no doubt come from players' analysis, and it's going to help generate a noticeable amount of income for the guy. He deserves it; really nailed the scary atmosphere it puts you in.
Night one survivable no matter what, confirmed. MisterSjeiks confirmed that by going out of power faster than OP.

Play Pals video shows night one is losable
I know this is a dumb question. But what stops you from closing the doors and leaving them closed all night?
It's the perfect horror game to play with friends or to letsplay. It doesn't have much build-up, it's silly, simple and isn't afraid to jumpscare. It's a lot like slender.
There needs to be more "Arcade horror" games like this
simple fun, easy to get into, great to play with friends, and easily customizable.

The doors retract when the power goes out.

Spring operated fire door.

as well as one of the animatronics having eaten part of some kids frontal lobe already

Foxy also breaks them if the power is less than 10%.
Also Freddy gives you a visit and crashes the game if you close them for too long.
You know, this game is literally one of my worst nightmares. Couple of months back, I basically dreamed about this game, except it was set in this huge-ass underwater hotel.
The hotel had got flooded, because someone left a door open or something, I dunno, and the only survivors were me and a few other people locked in a sealed suite. The hotel also had a big-ass museum with humanoid animatronics that re-enacted historical scenes for some reason, and the water damage had made them lose their shit, they were running about with their faces missing and stuff. So I had to watch them all with security cameras and a map with lights on it that showed areas where a robot was, and they kept running up to the suite door and banging on it, and sometimes we'd look out of the window to see a robot throwing itself out of an airlock and spazzing out in the water.
There was also an intercom system, and the only purpose of it was for robots to shriek at you mechanically through it.

You're a precog. Tell us about the next horror game fad!
Has "turn off the fan" gained meme status yet? I see it all the fucking time now. Might just be redditors.
...can you turn off the fan?
