The suit is for robot endoskeletons, and a human being crushed into it would result in minor squashage. Unless it turns out you become one of the animatronicies. That would be troubling.
Plus the suits are filled with crossbeams and wiring and they squeeze you into one so hard that your eyes and teeth pop out so.
Basically the "Costume" is the equivalent to an Iron Maiden.

Well got the demo and during the first fucking night at 3 or 4 am the damn bunny was no where near the 2 side's of me to the left and out of nowhere it's there and I died, second day alright this will be good guess what ? It wasn't I almost survived but wasted too much power by 3 am or 4 and freddy killed me
Rarely has a game captivated me like this one. Everything from the atmosphere to the tension to the straight up creepiness is spot on. I can't get enough of it.
It's probably because otherwise the game'd have no story and then the creator would've spent all that time doing his work for nothing?

You're a security guard for a shitty Suck E. Cheeses with AI-controlled animatronics who also guard the place but think that you're a defective animatronic and so try to stuff you into a suit which kills you, which you stop by tracking them on cameras and shutting the security doors to your office to stop them. Your pay is terrible and any sane person would quit after one night.
