fucking brilliant, lets do it.
The Crosskill pistol is so good, I REALLY wish I could put some kinda sight on it. I mean, you can make the MAC10 into this monstrosity, why can't I do the same with the Crosskill?

I want to play the Beta so bad. My friends have it and I don't. shit.

I hate how far down the scopes are on ak rifles
I really hope the final one has a lot of urban heists, I feel like we're missing the puzzley element of First World Bank.
Heh, what I am feeling is that there's less 'big raid' heists with several & various objectives and defense objectives kinda like slaughterhouse green bridge or panic room, or any of PD1's heists, but several levels with 1-3 objectives in which you stay around for about 15 minutes per level.
It's kind of weird but I guess it makes the cut.
I really can't stand this Bank Heist at all.
I really can't stand this Bank Heist at all.
What's wrong with it?
It's boring. Entirely. Especially compared to the Bank in the first Game. the building is tiny and the match almost never has any form of variety. It just becomes a mess near the end and is just not very much fun.
Overkill sure are bro's, I bet they even browse FP.
Considerin that I feared of Guy Fawkes masks appearin in Payday 2 and they're in the game, I wouldn't be surprised.

Thankfully there's gonna be First World Bank heist in PD2 somehow.
I am really interested how they'll do DLC. There's gonna be season pass, right?
I guess I'll buy it, reading the leaked heist names was enough for me.

I would assume that's how most "Day 1" missions will be in the game. If there's only one day included, the environment will be medium-sized, but the place you have to rob will be small. (Jewelry Store, Bank, And Four Stores).
I imagine the ones that will be huge will be the "Pro Jobs", or the Day 1 missions that will be huge will have "Score" behind their name, like the Casino one, the Yacht one, etc...
My problem really comes down to it not being very interesting, it's one safe with one drill and maybe to pick the back door. It's really lackluster.
I hope they do what L4D2 did, reintroduce all the heists from PAYDAY 1, but have them improved for PAYDAY 2.

Maybe take different plans to complete the mission? I don't know. Try to stealthily do it. Try different difficulties. Do it solo.
That's probably one of the reasons First World Bank is coming back. They probably wanted to make a new bank, realized how small it is, and bring back the one map we all loved, and probably added/changed stuff on it.
Also, it's a beta. It has less than half of what we expect in the full game (If you didn't hack). More skill points, more skills to use those points since you wont be capped, you wont get everything you need once you reach Level 25 like in the beta (Don't quote me on that), definitely more heists, safehouse customizations, possibly more masks, patterns, and colors, more weapons, and weapon mods that will be use-able, and probably the occasional update. to add small things/bug fixes.
It's not really to progress. Sure, you have fun and what-not, but of course it isn't super intense. OverKill gave us a small taste of what they can do, they didn't show us everything. It's a beta.
i just got murdered by like 30 swat that entered the tiny office area where the panic buttons are in the bank rip.
I hope they do what L4D2 did, reintroduce all the heists from PAYDAY 1, but have them improved for PAYDAY 2.
Much easier to stealth in the second, i'd like to try all the payday 1 heists stealthily (without a police patrol every other second)
Really hoping for a reset, soon. Atleast make it difficult to reach the cap in the beta, Overkill. It's still 2 or so weeks away until release, but everyone reached the cap pretty quickly when it was reset.

It's the Beta with baby-tier heists that can be done in 1-30min without exploiting. Considering the original game was usually multi-stage heists that lasted 30-60+ min - it's obvious these are just the smallest ones available. I find Watchdogs and Rats a lot more fun just because they have a lot more variety over "run in, steal stuff, Mexican conveyer belt of bags, done."

Rats was fun because it gives you options to do this stuff.
"You can either do this and have big payout, or not do this, get through the mission quick, and have a small payout."
And each "day", you had different options, as well. How much meth will you make? Will you steal it back from the gangsters? Will you steal all the bags from the bus on Day 3? Or maybe just one?
I don't advocate grinding, but it should take a good bit longer to hit the cap. I've personally played 8 hours and I'm already level 21. I just did a mission on very hard and went up 2 levels. Alibi, I have the exp+ perk.
it shouldn't really be any longer than it has to be
its not like levels actually mean anything, you can be pro as fuck at level 2 or be shitty as fuck at level 70
it just matters how much offtime each person has and it isn't really fair to make the grind too long to get to 100 and be viable in big heists
I think there should be some logic behind a person being a level 70. If you're a high level, you shouldn't be shitty. You should have learned everything about the game as you get to level 70. If a person was truly shitty, they would have moved on from the game or stay at a low level.
And OverKill said it will take about 1000 hours or more to even get to level 100, so getting to level 70 would take a lot of work, and I doubt a "shitty player" will get there. They would have already earned the skill by the time they even reach level 50.
Yeah, but hitting the cap so early still lets you feel complete, and I don't want that feeling so quickly. Maybe it's just the beta and it scales harder past 25, though it would be nice to have more money for each level we have.
I just needed a few extra grand to buy a new gun
a bunch of failed missions later and I'm +20k down because of fucking civs running in my face
The gas from the fucking AC units is bullshit. Sure it only does like 5% of your health per hit, but it fucks up your armor in a split moment, and then you get greeted by 8 cops who can stand in it with no problems.
God forbid you get downed while in the gas, you'll get to experience a flashing yellow screen for about 20 seconds.

the annoying part is that it never goes away. I should go down after the assault or a set amount of time. Maybe we can turn off the ventilation.

hey man don't knock it, add on a different stock and it is actually able to be aimed when firing it
they could be carried by other players, hack, or just grind small heists or bugged heists
theres many ways to get to levels without being good, trust me, you wouldn't believe how many people in games like cod are prestige 10 yet suck shit somehow, people just like to grind
Which, actually, brings me to another point.
We need more people to protest against hackers. Every time we get to the subject of hackers, nobody seems to care because, "oh, they don't affect you, blah blah blah...," but yet, there's always people that contradict themselves and admit that hackers ruin a game. It's just mind-blowing that there's a group of people that can ruin a game, but we don't care because it doesn't "happen to us", so we just shrug it off.
I guarantee you that if we made a big deal about it, Overkill will actually try to do something about it instead of ignoring it like in Payday 1.
My resolution resets to 1280x720 every time I start the game, is there a fix for this?
My resolution resets to 1280x720 every time I start the game, is there a fix for this?
go into user files, then appdata\local\Payday 2 and look in the renderer_settings.xml, then edit the width and height from there
you'll see an option that looks like
resolution = "1280 720"
change that to
resolution = "1920 1080"
[editline]30th July 2013[/editline]
or whatever your resolution is
